We were very pleased with the services they provided to us. They were very polite and easy to reach and talk to. We had monthly updates so we always knew what was happening. The fees were told up front so there weren't any surprises. Many thanks to Hayley and her team for being so supportive and understanding during this hard time for us.
Dreadful experience I'm sorry to say, would not recommend. Errors, excuses and disappearing staff. Took two years to complete my late mother's estate and there still appear to be inaccuracies. Quite the opposite of the marketing material , shameful .
If I could give less I would !!!!! My advise is don t use them as they have not got a clue , very unprofessional, never return calls . It s taken over two years and my poor Nanna s Estate has not been completeded . Passed from one agent to another - same story when you call . They are either sick or on annual leave . When you ask to speak to senior management you then get a call from someone who clearly doesn t have a clue . Please go to someone else who know what they are doing and do actually care .
Please dont use this organisation if you have a fairly normal estate like I did. It was horrendous using this company for my mums estate that included a house and some savings. It would have been easier to do it myself. I would use minus stars if I could.
Dealt with my cousin's estate. We had great service from our case manager who answered our many questions along the way. It was a very difficult time for us and it was made easier knowing they were handling all my cousins affairs. I cannot thank them enough and would definitely recommend
Shockingly bad service - if I could give 0 / -5 stars I would. Truly they couldn t have made an already stressful situation more stressful if they tried. Our various account managers were terrible; at one point responding to my concerns / complaint with well I do have other clients you know! Didn t return our calls/ emails & on the rare occasion we did receive a communication it was usually of very little informative value. It has taken the team there THREE years to resolve our relatively straightforward case. Please do not use this company - I wouldn t trust them to look after my goldfish never mind something as important as the estate of a loved one.
I feel extremely confident in referring my clients to Kings Court Trust. I know that at an extremely difficult time in their lives Kings Court Trust will take all of the headache and stress out of the process of administering their loved one's estate. Having a fixed fee in place gives peace of mind and the freedom to be able to ask as many questions as needed. I am really pleased to be able to offer their services to my clients in full confidence that they will be in safe hands.
The complete process has been very efficient, which has meant much less stress and worry, often associated at times of bereavement and when it comes to matters involving Legal and financial matters. I've always felt confident that I've been able to follow up any concerns, worries or queries with ease. I am completely satisfied with the service we have received and I would definitely recommend Kings Court Trust to my family and friends.
Absolutely rubbish company . My complaint is almost the same as so many other people on here .lost files ,no continuity of one case handler , excuses , no returned phone calls . Was told this would take around 6 months ,it will be a year in May since my father passed away and we are no further forward what s so ever . Disgusted ,shoddy service which actually does affect other people s lives , I would like to give them no stars at all , but had to in order for me to be able to write my review , be warned stay clear from this incompetent company .
I have been introducing estate administration to this company for many years now and have been very pleased with their overall service. They are very professional and in my opinion experts at handling estate administration. I can always turn to them for advice and guidance and there is no situation they haven't had any experience in. Understandably, clients can sometimes express frustration at time delays in receiving an inheritance but Kings Court ensure everything is conducted correctly. On occasions they have saved my clients thousands of pounds due in taxes and well worth the investment. They only deal with estate administration and so are well versed in the subject. Communication is reliable and the systems they have in place enable clients and professional introducers to track progress. I will continue to use them as they are good to have on your side.
Received a letter from King's Court asking for bank details and I'd as a member of my mother's family had died and his details had been passed on to Kings Court. Its nearly 2years on from receiving the letter still nothing paid to any family member. U email and receive 1 back saying the staff in charge is off unwell. 5 emails sent n5 received saying off unwell. The booklet stated that the whole process should take between 8 months to a year. This company in my eyes is ripping people off to line there own pockets.
Experience so far has been pretty good. My Mum's will was pretty complex and there's been several complications arising that have been dealt with. A bit of chasing has been needed but I expect that with any legal/financial service. Overall they've saved me a lot of grief and hassle for a fixed fee. I'd use them again.
Excellent service quality. Throughout this lenghty process we received lots of help and constant updates regarding the estate of my uncle. They were very professional and from the very first communication with them they made us feel that we can trust them. We appreciate everyone's hard work and thank you for all the support.
16 months since my brother passed and the estate being given to KCT to handle. Dreadful communication. No sale of property. No payment made to funeral directors or other people owed money. Bizarre. Would not recommend.
I have never had to deal with a legal company before , then my father in law passed away. We were recommended to Kings Court Trust by our bank. They explained in plain English what our options were, including different levels of service, which may be more suited to our needs - this really helped us understand what we should do. They also gave us lots of useful information around what practical tasks we should consider and tips on how to complete these, including answering many questions around general bereavement support. At the same time, we approached two high street solicitors but they were more expensive and didn't give a fixed fee, or the comprehensive service that Kings Court Trust provided, so we decided to use KCT - they also take on all the responsibility and liability, which gave us peace of mind. We then started to deal with our Personal Estate Manager who I can say has been truly amazing. There is so much to take in during such a difficult time but everything was always explained clearly and nothing was ever too much trouble. We communicated by email and sometimes phone , she was always prompt at getting back to me, she guided us along the process took us through every different section of the process thoroughly helpfully and was very professional but also a warm friendly person who made everything so much easier, I can definitely recommend KCT to anyone and although our estate was quite complex, they completed everything within a year! Thank you KCT!
Please avoid at all costs. Pick one of any of these reasons.
1. Failed to contact me when house sale fell through. (When I called to ask how the progress was going, Joe told me that the house sale had fell through but he had only received this email 3 minutes earlier. During the time between the email and me calling he had found another buyer for 5k less. Either incredibly efficient or full of lies) 2. They all use lines such as "Mr Stanford, we were just about to call you," 4 weeks after they were supposed to provide an update. 3. Paul couldn't even muster up an apology this morning when I aired my concerns about point one reoccuring today. 4. Joe has been at his desk only once when I have rang, he may have a lot of things to do but he does not return his call in his own given timeframes. 5. They have made my Dad's passing all the more stressful, he would be disgusted with how they have treated the sale of the house he renovated from scratch. 6. Cost a lot more than going to the estate agents direct and appears to come with nk extra benefits. If anything, I have had to do more chasing.
The only plus for this firm, and I hope she gets out soon, is the young, female receptionist who is always extremely apologetic for her coworkers inept and lacklustre attitude towarda Anthony's estate.
I was shocked by the "mistakes" that were not rectified by Richard Lowe, Andrea Pearce & Claire Binnersley. They were disrespectul unprofessional & i would never recommend them. Do NOT trust KCT......
On my Brother's death Kings Court Trust was recommended to me by his pension provider "The National Grid". Recommendation from such an organisation alone gave me the confidence in appointing reliable professionals to do the job. Initially their Bath Office started the administration (up until Christmas almost 3 months) and from January the Bristol office took over the administration and put into the capable hands of Victoria (Vicky) Parsons and her team. During the process Vicky has always been exceptionally helpful and informative explaining the processes involved and answering my queries. It has now been almost a year in the process and as we are now hopefully near to finalising my Brothers estate I can understand and appreciate the difficulties encountered with the process and the benefits of using professional people. I feel totally confident referring my clients to KCT who provide a comprehensive estate administration service. Their guaranteed fixed fee arrangement ensures that all the legal & tax work required will be completed both efficiently and effectively. The professional team are friendly and approachable making sure that each client is given regular case updates. I now have many satisfied clients who have worked with KCT.
Kings Court took a month to decide whether they would take on probate of an estate despite frequent reminders. This is far too long. They did not charge for the initial meeting or return of documents but speed is not their forte and they don't take on difficult probate.
We were recommended KCT after our Father passed away. It has taken them almost 3 years to sort out his estate (Our Mother is still alive so the property was left to her) they only had to deal with a few shares and his bank account. They very rarely return calls and we had so many account managers as they are always on long term sick then they leave! We would definitely NOT RECOMMEND. This company should be avoided at all costs.
I've had an exceptional experience from KCT. A complex estate that was conducted with empathy and professionalism throughout. A fixed price and regular updates. Highly recommend.
When our mother passed we contacted Wills Direct, only to get a phone call within minutes of putting the phone down by Kings Court Trust Ltd. Wills Direct had put them down as an executor on the will ! Both companies were inept and completely unprofessional. We have a full documented account of what happened. If you want a copy than let me know. Will writing is an unregulated industry and both companies mentioned caused us a lot of unnecessary problems at such a sad time. If you have a will by Wills Direct, check to see if they have put down an additional executor, such as Kings Court Trust !
STAY WELL AWAY!
