Such a great place! Always enjoy their shows. And I love that they support their community as well.

This place is a GEM!!!! Our family has had so much fun going here over the years. We've moved away, but every time we're in town, we make sure to go!

The Melodrama is a great place. The Christmas show is just great.

Great atmosphere - smaller theatre but it's bigger than it looks. The actors served our food and drinks too making it a very cool experience

This is an Encore park. If this park is an example of the way Encore maintains its parks, we will take steps to avoid them. Filthy, dog feces everywhere, full of foxtail weeds. Clubhouse windows have not been washed in a long time. Plain dirt sites, gravel is non-existent. Watch for nails in sites. Long-term resident and employee dogs running lose.

Damn funny. Great entertainment for all ages. Good mix of music and comedy.

The venue is cozy, the actors are clearly having a terrific time, and the show is non-stop entertaining. If I lived in the area, I'd have season tickets for sure.

So much fun! It's a play! With actors, and sets and costume changes. During intermission, the actors also serve the guests. Drinks (wine and beer) and snacks (pretzels, hot dogs, and candy) are available and reasonably priced. A must see for all ages. I enjoyed sitting at tables on the main floor. In the side pews my head my constantly turned toward the stage and my neck ached at the end. I look forward to seeing all the shows during the year!

Outstanding little vaudeville theater. Throw peanut shells on the floor & "Boo" the villain. Great night of fun & laughs.

.Bring the tweens, the teens, the moms, the dads, the grandparents, the uninvited relatives, you name it! As nice as it can get without being pretentious, it's a class act all the way.
The plays and Vaudeville revues are hilarious, the snack bar is manned by the actors who will sing to you if you tip them!
Do it once, you'll be back!

The Melodrama is always a night to remember!! "The Karaoke Kid" had us laughing and cheering until our sides and throats were sore.

This is a great place to have fun and laughs. Get boo the villain and cheer the heros. Good simple ballpark food as well. Been going here off and on for more than 30yrs

I was not sure what to expect but I had many of my friends in the area tell me to go. I don't regret it. It was so much fun and better than expected. The Vaudeville at the end was a fun dessert to an excellent evening. I saw the Pump Brothers and Dinnetes show and the actresses and actors were fantastic. Few tips, go early as parking can be a bear. The tables are smaller than you think they are but still best seats.

We always have a fun time coming to the Melodrama. Causal and yet very professional and clean. Had a very cold beer, a tasty baked potato while being very entertained. Will go back soon.

If you are in California you have to go here, truly amazing

Broad strokes comedy presented by hard working actors who double as service employees. Loud drunk audience members can really be a downer here due the tight hall.

My family goes to this almost every year. We love it and love supporting the arts

Show was great as well as performers.
Visited last year for the first time and came back again this year. This time we watched Papa Pia, definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Great show, family friendly, dorky and entertainment.

Absolutely amazing talent in both the Steel Magnolias performance and Vaudeville Review. Funny and touching. Every one of these ladies is a star. Highly recommend.

Did not see the current show due to being closed down for virus outbreak. They cancelled as we were driving there. Anxious to get back. Always a fun time and a show to allow yourself to forget all your stress for a few hours

The cast is so energetic that the audience has to respond. It's contagious. Everytime we go we have fun. I actually sing outloud.

Wonderful ! If you've never gone, you should. The Holiday Extravaganza is so much fun. I've taken my Grandsons every year since they were five. They're 17 and 14 now and they still love going!!

We went to the Halloween show and it really wasn't a show with a Halloween theme. Snack bar wasn't as good as it used to be . Hot dogs were gray looking and bun was stale.

We love The Great American Melodrama. It's a great place to enjoy old fashion comedic melodrama.

If you haven't been to the Great American Melodrama yet...make reservations and go! Look in the local New Times paper for discount coupons good Mondays through Thursdays. Good food selection, with wine, beer and sodas available pre-show and during intermission, but get in line early for food, as it closes quickly because the servers are also the actors.....hear them "hollar for a dollar"! :)

I have gone to the Melodrama every year for over 25 years and it has always been an excellent experience of talent and entertainment!

Love the Great American Melodrama! It's great for every occasion, and after going about five times so far, I've enjoyed every experience. The staff/cast are extremely nice, and the food is good for stadium food. I definitely recommend going to a show

Had a fun time watching Ebeneezer Scrooge, the Fractured Cinderella tale and the Reindeer Rap.

"Unnecessary Farce" was very enjoyable with many "laugh out loud " moments. Family friendly. Snacks and beverages were available (served by the production staff and actors). Be sure to go! We enjoyed our evening.

Easy to find., same place they've always been. "Drac in the saddle" incorporated local flavor, and was enjoyed by all, even a sceptical friend. Drinks and snack foods are available also.

It's The Melodrama! What's not to love. You're packed in, stadium food and the talent is right in front of you and they are awesome. It makes fun of itself and the locals so you don't have to.

The Great American Melodrama is one of our favorite things to do while vacationing in Pismo. The performances are always amazing, actors are very talented. The pulled pork from the snack bar is pretty good, too. Service is always friendly.

Oh my gosh. What a great evening. Just saw Drac in the Saddle Again. Great energy and great laughs. I'm so grateful a friend who used to live in area told me about this troupe.

Wow! I had no idea something like this could be so entertaining. This is not my kind of thing, I was dreading going, but I committed so I was stuck. Two minutes into the show I was laughing my rear off! Unbelievable how hard the cast works, what an amazing show. I am a bit of a grinch and this show warmed my heart. Highly recommend this show to anybody looking for a fantastic night of entertainment for the whole family! A huge THANK YOU to the cast and crew for enlightening me on how much fun something like this can be! I am looking forward to the next chance to return to this amazing place and it's wonderfully talented cast!

The tables are a little bit crowded together but it is what it is. We totally loved the show.
