The hotel is well located in Sydney within easy walking distance of a number of tourist attractions. The Grace has late 1920s charm and elegance, and the rooms are very comfortable and well appointed.

Location is 5 star! Rooms were big and spacious, which was a plus. But it's a bit basic looking. The staff are friendly too. The hotel is a heritage hotel done in art deco style. Got it at a really good rate compared to nearby hotels. A little too old feeling for me as I prefer newer hotels, but I'd consider staying here again in the future if the price is fair. They are currently undergoing renovations though, so hopefully, the rooms would look better!
The convenience store right opposite the hotel had a bit of a high mark up for some items. other items were ok though.
Decent hotel in a prime location with reasonable room upgrade prices. The Italian restaurant in the same building is a passable option for a quick bite.
I had the most wonderful stay. They've got a really good rate compared to nearby hotels. The staff are all so friendly. My room was really comfortable and the view from it was stunning. Pool was in great condition, enjoyed swimming there. I'd consider staying here again in the future.
Attended a breakfast and lunch seminar for work at the Grace Hotel. Good central location, very accessible by train or bus. Facilities were well-maintained and clean; although not overly modern, it had its own charm. Did not have much interaction with the staff as it was a seminar.
Beautiful hotel that is wonderfully appointed. Central location within short walk of great shopping locals and food choices all around including the restaurants and pubs at the hotel itself.
Beautifully kept in the art deco style with minimalist rooms. If you like very modern/contemporary styles this is not for you. Staff very friendly and effective. The hotel is in a fantastic location and is walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and the CBD and a short walk to the harbour. Wynard and Town Hall stations are only a short walk away as is the light rail stations on George Street.
Booked in over the Australia Day weekend to give my partner's parents a memorable luxury weekend before they returned to UK. Expectations surpassed. Rex, at check-in was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The concierges were informative and gave us some great tips for getting around. Salana, in the Brasserie was amazing. She could remember all our coffee orders each morning without prompting. Unbelievable. P.J.O'Briens is a real Irish Pub and the food was excellent and very good value. The hotel rooms and facilities were excellent and the staff helped create some wonderful memories for our guests.
Been staying at the Grace for over 20 years every time I am in Sydney. Great central location. The refurbished rooms are fabulous though too much negative space for my tastes.
This hotel has quaint old style charm with modern in-room facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended for either tourists or business.
Nice building with reasonably spacious rooms. The amenities are a bit weird. The owners aren't quite sure whether they are running a hotel for residents or a bar and nightclub for Sidney"s revellers. Confusing business model which must confuse the hotel guests. The noise from the pub doesn't reach the high floors of the hotel but at some entrances to the hotel you do have to 'fight' through the crowds to get into the hotel. There is a coffee shop but it's entrance is along the street as it also serves the general public. Obviously the hotel management want to take full advantage of the hotel's position but this does result in the hotel actually having very few hotel facilities.
I have had the buffet at The Grace and a regular visitor to the Malaysian restaurant downstairs on Fridays. The buffet was elaborate and we felt was well worth the money spent ($22). It had a good selection, even for the vegetarian who accompanied us. The Malaysian restaurant downstairs is a place we visit frequently. Our favourite special is on Fridays, which is the fish curry rice. Well worth the time spent. The service has always impressed me and I feel the place is well worth the money (eating wise, as I have never stayed there).
Really enjoyed the Art Deco styling, excellent service in all areas, and a particular highlight was the live music on the grand piano in the foyer, every evening.
The hotel has a policy of taking $101.50 as a room deposit from your credit card while saying they want a purchase authorisation which is completely different. Effectively they have stolen this money for however long it takes to come back into my account plus interest on the card. Will think twice about staying there again
Great spot to stay in the CBD. Plenty to see and do nearby. Friendly staff and very helpful. There s even a beautiful hair salon located on the street level called Solace! Definitely worth checking out!
BRILLIANT SERVICE! I have to say I was stuck in their lobby waiting for someone to collect me, my phone was broken and wasn t working. The lovely boys PATRICK & PETE helped me call everyone I needed without hesitation. They were exceptional in keeping me calm and helping me out. Will definitely be back!
Great overnight stay in Sydney CBD..spacious comfortable rooms. Staff were all very accommodating and helpful for any inquiry...multiple food and dining choices in adjoining foyer. Funky Irish pub also in same complex...recommended AAA+++
What a beautiful hotel and building. The rooms have been recently refurbished in tasteful design. Great breakfast offerings. The hotel is situated in the centre of the city so it's an easy walk to anywhere. I would have given it 5 stars except that I was told there was no parking available even though I had prebooked it. This meant that I had to find a parking station a few streets away, which was very inconvenient. But the hotel itself was great..
A very grand and very beautiful hotel with top notch staff. Some of the rooms could use a renovation but otherwise has been kept immaculately clean. Has kept all of its historic charm, inside and out! Worth a look around and not just a stay.
We stayed 4 nights. If anyone in the room either side of us dropped something on their floor, it sounded like they were in the room with us. Unfortunately on the last night the room next to us had a baby in it and each time the baby crued we woke because the sound travelled straight into our room. Breakfast was so poor. The hot food was not fresh and the fruit was mostly tinned. Barista made coffee was not included in the price of breakfast and an extra $3.50 was charged to the room for a proper coffee. I have never been to a hotel anywhere in Sydney, Australia or the world where I had to pay extra for a barista made coffee at breakfast. It was the worst breakfast buffet in years. We won t be back.
Awesome location and the remodeled rooms are great! The older rooms require a key for the power to be on. This makes charging anything while you're gone impossible.
Very well done. The stay was perfect. The hotel is located in city centre. Hotel did provide us with all the facilities. The staff were very helpful. I certainly will be staying here again.
