ALWAYS the best fish and chips. Service quality has gone down since they moved and obviously has become more popular. The menu has been changing for the worse I find too. I'm all about the fish but if you aren't into it, you'll have a hard time finding something special. ONLY go for fish and chips, and a very limited beer selection.

Average food...some meals very greasy and we waited 1.5 hours for our meal...told it was because we ordered an appetizer. Restaurant was only 50 % full at this time.
No apology for the delay and no offer for any discount on meal.

A great Scottish pub with excellent stout, pub fare and even haggis! Friendly atmosphere and wonderful staff round out the experience. We had fish and chips, shepherd's pie and we were all well-fed!

Usually a great place but tonight's experience was dismal. Reserved for 6 but no table available for 15 min, took another hour to get our meal which was not up to usual standards, server left menus on the table and forgot parts of our order. Very disappointing.

My husband and I would call this our "local". It's close to where we live, has friendly staff who provide great service and the fish and chips is FANTASTIC! I do wish they had more local beers on tap but they've got Lagunitas so we make it work. ;)

Decided to stop in for lunch on a whim while we were in the area, and we're so glad we did! Wonderful drink menu, and the best fish & chips I've ever had at a pub in Canada! To say that I scarfed my whole plate would be an understatement.
Also, the staff were swift and lovely, and extremely helpful and gracious when our two year old tried to flip the table and stuff spilled everywhere . Instead of wanting to sink into the floor, like we usually do when our toddler decides to unleash his tornado-like abilities on an establishment, we were met with good humour and understanding. Phew!

Can't wait to go back! (With a babysitter, next time.)

I have been there once or take out and today to dine in over lunch. The food was good and warm but the service was the worst I have had in a long time. We really had no idea who the server was. She did not bring the food, checked on us once when the food had just arrived and never came again. We needed drink refills shortly after the food arrived and she never returned till we were done. It was a hot day and we were on the patio so a refill was not a luxury but a necessity. When she brought the bill she had not asked anything - do you want more, do you want dessert and did not offer my son the dessert that came with the meal. It really was the lowest standard and unfortunate cause the food was good.

Food was excellent as usual - the fish is really well done with many options available. There aren't a lot of choices for vegetarians/vegans (though there are one or two) however. Still a great atmosphere with good service, highly recommend

Fish tacos = fish minus the tacos. It's like ordering nachos, but served on a bed of lettuce.
Absolute sacrilege. Stick to the wings and beer and you won't be disappointed. Stray from that and its caveat emptor.

The Glen has been in business for decades, previously at a location along Hazeldean Rd, in south Kanata. Well known for their high quality fish, available battered, beer-battered, breaded, or pan fried. If you love fish and chips, you should go here, but they have many other menu options to choose from as well. An enjoyable atmosphere and good food.

Go for the haddock and chips. Our party tried a variety of dishes. The scotch pie was well received but the fish and chips got the best reception. Lots of versions of haddock to choose from between gluten free no batter, regular batter, breaded or beer batter all with real British chips, none of that french fry stuff. Order the mushy peas as a side and share between 2 or 3. Sticky toffee pudding is decadent and the deep fried mars bar dessert served with ice cream is for the more adventurous. Hopefully the Caffrey's will be in stock next time we go.

Still a classic after many years in the community. Great Scottish classics with some nicely updated items as well. Good selection of beer, ale, and cider. Staff is professional and friendly and it shows that this is a family run pub who cares about what they do. Highly recommended.

Party of 20 was rushed out as next reeservation group arrived 30mins early. Spent over 2grand. Food great as usual but servers and owner perferred to have us fill up on booze for an hour and a half before taking our order then tell us that we have to go. Not cool!. Will not be going back. This place has lost its touch.

Date night Thursdays is excellent value. Food is excellent with on the full menu a large variety to choose from, including vegan and vegetarian options, including the Beyond Burger! Server was attentive and pleasant. A job well done, as usual.

Big kudos to all the staff working during this pandemic, and especially during this heat wave. I called ahead for take out and the staff had a great system in place for pick-up.

Also, a friendly reminder to my fellow patrons - the Glen is a busy place even during normal times (because they are so excellent)! Call ahead and see what is going on, make a reservation if you can :) and please remember to be kind and patient with everyone working in the service industry now and always

July 16th, was my husband's birthday. We made reservations for a party of four. As we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. Nice ambiance, and the background music was good . Our server was Kat... OMGoodness Kat's customer service and interpersonal skills were outstanding... her smile, her humour, engaging in conversation. We were not rushed at any point in time to order. Among us we had the Taco wrap, Fish & salad, breaded zucchini, clam chowder soup. The food was excellent !! Will recommend to our family & friends.

Held a stag and doe here and the management (James) and his staff were incredible. They made the planning and evening as stress free as they could have. Food was great, great drinks (although weird to have to pay for the lime, for my lime n lager... Anyhow. Would recommend hosting an event here without hesitation!

Great pub with some nice Scottish specialties on the menu, including a selection of meat pies worth trying. They also have some Scottish beer available, some at very reasonable prices for import. Prices for the food are a little on the high side but no more so than other pubs in the area, and specials are available that will save you money. The staff I've talked to have all been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you're craving particular Scottish food or drink definitely check out the menu and give them a try.

Very busy! Service lacked a little, but that's of course do to how busy they were.

Prices were reasonable, except for the pinot wine. One glass 15$? Thought that was a little pricey!

Overall good service and friendly atmosphere!

Great fish tacos on Taco Tuesday at The Glen. Preferred the deep fried fish over the pan fried as the pan fried was a bit over cooked and dry. The mango salsa on Tacos was very tasty. Will definitely go back again

Scottished owned for many years I had not been for 20 years (moved) but was not disappointed. 70s jukebox type music, TVs on sports but no sounds to bug you, friendly staff and we spaced and partitioned tables and booths. Uk pub type food and beers. I had the haggis was good not great, my husband had the liver was also good. Will try stake and kidney pie next. Sticky toffee pudding was great.

Food was not great...overdone fries and soggy batter. Bad grease smell.in the place as well. Being Scottish I was disappointed....problem with server pouring drink over my wife and daughter...nothing done about it other than replacing the juice...guess I'll pay the bill to clean the jacket then!!
