We loved the Glen. My dad has been going for years but we went for the first time as a family. We were seated quickly on a busy Friday night, had wonderful beer, and our food came quickly. We all got fish and chips-- big, wonderful cuts cooked perfectly. I often feel sick after eating fried food but I felt fine after this fish, they obviously clean their fryers frequently and know how to do fish and chips properly. Really delicious and we loved it!
Delicious fish and chips (definitely get the beer batter) and friendly prompt service.
This little Scottish gem just outside of Ottawa is a treat! Outside of Scotland, probably the best Haggis I have ever eaten with neeps and mashed. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere amazing. Definitely will return.
Food is good, but way too slow for lunch. Ok if you have 2 hours minimum to spend for lunch. The rest of us should consider somewhere else for lunch. Waiting ~1 hour for food, then 20 minutes waiting to pay then 5 minutes between each person at the table to pay.
One of my favorite places to go for dinner in the Kanata/Stittsville area. The fish and chips are an obvious must try, love the mashed potatoes (so creamy you don't even need gravy), and of course always a treat the haggis tacos! It can get a bit noisy at times but hey, its a pub that's how they are supposed to be. The Glen is always one of my top choices when I want comfort food.
Service was fast, food was good. Best zucchini sticks I've had in a long time.
Always enjoy the food and service at the Glen. Friendly staff and always accommodating. You can't go wrong!!
Great food, have been there many times. One of my favourite restaurants anywhere.
Great selection of meals, my experience has been positive even when busy. Owner is there often and comes around to see that things are good. I go mostly for fish and chips. The breaded are very good and the battered is also good. Serving size is never an issue. There is free parking , easy access lots of fun and great staff. Anytime I have had concern about a meal they have been quick to address.
Excellent fish and chips but the rest of the menu isn't that good and isn't worth the price.
This pub has been running with the same name for over 30 decades and has some of the greatest foods you could possibly ever love there nachos and burgers are tasty with nice and flavoursome fries and the fish is to die for if your in the area and want some Scottish cuisine then stop by at the glen you won't regret it
The best fish and chips in Ottawa! The breaded fish is delicious, but so is the battered. Get the McConville Special and you don't have to choose. This cosy pub in Stittsville has fantastic Scottish food and drink and a great atmosphere.
If your looking for excellent fish and chips, this is by far the best quality in the Valley. The fish is weighed so portions are generous, and comes in battered, breaded and poached. Nice variety of cold draft, friendly service, Scottish decor.
I keep going back to the Glen for my Haggis fix. It is to DIE. FOR.
Food was quite good (had the fish & chips), portion size was larger than expected. Only outdoor and takeout available just now due to covid. Due to the limited number of tables suggest reservations or arriving before 6pm.
Little pricey but the best fish and chips I have found in Ottawa.
Never a bad meal. Always friendly staff. Look forward to eating here any time we're in the area
As usual...great food with appropriately attentive service. Friendly...no major wait for server, food, or bill. Always an enjoyable experience. Their fish is awesome any way they prepare it but now a believer of the pan seared.
Not a big fish eater but man, was it good ! Lightly battered delicious fish and yummy fries was tremendously enjoyed by our table. We will be back, most definitely !
We had a family gathering at this restaurant celebrating couple of birthdays and we had a very good experience enjoying an authentic scottish ambiance. Breaded fish and chips was superb and it is in my opinion one of the menu masterpieces. Good selection of draught beers (including of course few of the scotch ales ) pair the various menu choices. I recommend this restaurant location.
We went on a Friday night and was packed, over crowded. The heat was on and was about 30 cel.
It's better to go Mon to Thurs., less busy.
Great fish and chips and great selection of beer.
Good sized food portions.
Enjoyed some delicious Beer Battered Fish and Chips this evening. The service was excellent, food and beer were awesome! We will definitely be back!
The Glen is a pub / restaurant with a distinctive Scottish atmosphere. The signature dish is the fish and chips that can be served in a variety of styles. Menu options are available for patrons who are gluten free. Service is fast and the food is fresh at a reasonable price. #glutenFree #cider
Very good service and tasty fish and chips. We will go back.
