I had a very good experience with these folks. Very efficient, communicative staff. Procedure could have been a rough experience, but these guys were wonderful! Definitely have finally found my new dental group.
My family has followed Dr Lori Cronin from Lancaster to Worthington, and we would follow her out-of-state if necessary. Well, maybe not, but the move to the Gentle Dentist was a real step up for all concerned. Gentle, yes, but so dedicated and accommodating...and so skillful! I could not recommend the practice more!!!
Be sure your insurance is in-network. I have United Health Care but was told they would work with me. They charged me $80 for 2 x-rays and a cleaning on top of the percentage my insurance did pay for out-of-network. Then, they later billed my another $77. This practice is too expensive for me. Will need to go elsewhere in the future.
The hygienist was rushing through the process, did bare minimum cleaning. She can not find the routine cleaning tools, seems not ready to do the job. When I got home, look at mirror, the obvious tartars are still there, my teeth was not cleaned professionally at all.
I've been a patient at the Gentle Dentist for over 20 years and I've never had a bad experience. Everyone is extremely nice, knowledgeable and, most of all, gentle.
Even with insurance, they are a bit pricey, though and more than once I've found myself putting off a procedure until it was absolutely necessary, because I just couldn't afford it. However, in dentistry, it's extremely important to have the work be of the highest quality and in this case, you get what you pay for.

I never thought I would say this but 'I actually look forward to going to the dentist.' In the past I have always been very apprehensive of going to the dentist because of a bad experience as a kid. The Gentle Dentist is exactly what is says, gentle. Dr. Fox has taken great care of me when I had a cavity that needed a root canal and crown. They referred me to Central Ohio Endodontics for the root canal and Dr. Fox took care of the crown. All in all it has been a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend The Gentle Dentist to anyone who has a fear of going to the dentist.

My husband and I had both had bad experiences at the dentist when we were children, but we have loved going to the gentle dentist! We have been going for a year and a half. The staff is so sweet and friendly and always makes you feel welcomed! They make sure that you are comfortable throughout your whole time you are there. We have recommended all of our friends and family to go here as well! I also got my wisdom teeth out and they did a fantastic job!
I drive 30 minutes to see the lovely folks at The Gentle Dentist. Joyce and Dr. Baker were so incredibly welcoming and professional at my most recent visit. I have been terrified of dentists for a long time due to some really unpleasant expediencies. HOWEVER, The Gentle Dentist is fantastic and are helping me get over my fear. They are absolutely wonderful! My friend recommended them to me because I wanted to have some work done on my teeth so that I could have a beautiful smile. They really take their time explaining everything they are going to do, what to expect next, and making sure that I am comfortable and doing alright. I cannot speak highly enough about their staff and my experiences with them. During my initial visit they did a general cleaning and took x-rays to check everything out. They advised me that I need to get my wisdom teeth removed but since they don't take health insurance, which is what my wisdom teeth being removed would be billed under, they gave me a referral.
Since my first visit last month, I went back last night for the first part of my deep cleaning. They did the right side and I am scheduled to go back next week to do the left side. This process is a little pricey because there are things that insurance doesn't cover, but it is worth it, especially if you haven't been to the dentist in a while. I am truly looking forward to continuing to visit The Gentle Dentist because I feel like I have finally found a place where I am valued and listened to. Even though they have a ton of clients, I feel like they really care about me as an individual. Also, a huge plus is that I have been taken back on time or early both times. I don't spend long waiting to be seen in the waiting room or when taken back. They have evening and weekend hours, which is fantastic for my schedule and even though I see them in the evening, they are still so nice and happy by the time they get to my appointment time. For someone who is terrified if the dentist and has extreme anxiety, I LOVE this place. I didn't cry once! Everyone is friendly, everyone! No one makes me feel bad for being so uncomfortable, they are all so understanding. I had a couple fillings and things went great! Missy Baker, Jane Coulman, Lisa, and their entire crew are absolutely the best! They treat us like family, support the community, and offer free services to those who are in need annually. This office is incredibly kid friendly. The first time we went was because our 2 year fell and knocked a tooth out of place. It was like 5 o'clock in the evening and nobody else was open to help us so we tried out this office. It's about 30 minutes away from our house, but totally worth the drive. We have switched most of our family to their office since and continue to be pleased with how well they take care of us.

However, when I moved to the Columbus area in 1992, I found Dr. Bill Coulman and the Gentle Dentist practice. It truly has been a miracle! From really being 'gentle', to ALWAYS being on time, to the LOVELY people that work there and just the TOP NOTCH organization of this business, I now kind of enjoy visiting Jane and the staff at the Gentle Dentist. I fully recommend this practice and am quite confident you will be a reformed patient like me.

Both were thorough and personable. The dentists even follow up with a phone call if you have questions. I opted out of my employer s dental insurance so that I could continue to go here. I ve been beyond satisfied with the care I ve received and I m VERY particular when it comes to my teeth. I m impressed.
Dr. Gall is absolutely wonderful! He not only is great at the work he does, but is a very caring person. Because of Dr. Gall, I prefer a dentist appointment over a doctor appointment.

Our family has gone to The Gentle Dentist for almost a decade. We are always greeted upon entrance, immediately taken to our appointments and treated with the utmost care. Although this dentist office is not close to our home, we continue to stay with this office because we enjoy the services they provide.
I use to have terrible anxiety with dentists, as a kid I had so many bad experiences at dentists. I would have panic attacks with any dentist, doctors, nurses. Along the way I went through hypnotherapy to help. And the Gentle Dentists have been there along every step of the way. I never hear a kid cry or scream when they re at this dentist. You can sit back relax with a blanket, massage chair, and watch your favorite tv shows. They offer sedation in many ways to even further your relaxation if you have terrible anxiety. Now I won t go to any other dentist, and I don t have the anxiety anymore.
I was treated with such great care and constantly checked on to be sure I was okay. I don't like the dentist (no offence) so these visits are never "fun" yet I appreciate that they do all they can to make me comfortable.
