This dentist s office is truly warm and inviting. They have outstanding staff members who are always super kind and make you want to laugh and smile. They truly want you to have the best oral health and they make sure you stay on top of your bi-yearly check ups through emails, phone calls, or even texts (preferred because I am always inside of an OR). I actually moved to Cleveland Ohio and I still drive down for my appointments because trust them. They have my vote for #1 dentist in Columbus. Hats off to them for providing the best service and care. Thank you for being there for me over the last 15 years.

From Andy at the front desk to Dr. Jensen, the oral surgeon they bring in for wisdom teeth extraction, everyone here is wonderful - I wish I could give shoutouts to everyone! I used to dread going to the dentist until I found the Gentle Dentist. Everyone on staff is just phenomenal and make my visits so much more enjoyable. I recommend this place to everyone!
I took my 4 year old here after he had a very bad first experience elsewhere. They were so gentle and patient with him, and kept telling me they weren t worried about cleaning his teeth as much as building his trust and him learning that going to the dentist is a fun experience. He got to pick from the treasure box at the end which he was super stoked about. And they have a kid friendly waiting area on the second floor. Highly recommend!
I had the single best dentist experience of my life. The compassion and kindness shown was humbling. I will never visit another dental practice other than The Gentle Dentist. I was not judged...only helped. During my procedure there was constant communication and I was always being asked about my level of comfort. I highly recommend this dental practice. Today, Jan 17, was my latest appt at the Gentle Dentist. It was a routine cleaning and went very well. Now that I have found the Gentle Dentist, Worthington, and Holly and Dr Andy, I have absolutely no concerns and no pain! I wholeheartedly recommend The Gentle Dentist, very highly!!

I have never liked the dentist. I've got bad genetics with teeth, so no matter what I do I will have a cavity. Every dentist I've had before has been judgmental and rude about it, and hasn't really cared much if they were hurting you. These guys are wonderful. They want to make you comfortable, so if you ask for nitrous they'll get you nitrous, if you ask for the massage thing on your legs you got it, and if you tell them you need a break they'll give you one. They're always so sweet to me from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.
Not the cheapest dentist around, but to me it's worth it to know that I'm actually being taken care of. They have a savings plan that prices out much less expensive if you can get the money together all at once.
My husband, Ken, hated going to the dentist before we found The Gentle Dentist. He said that the hygeinests and dentists always hurt his mouth. He is no longer balking at going for his appointments, and he seems to be very satisfied with the care he is getting now.
The Gentle Dentist is the BEST. The care is superb. They run on time, always know your name, have flexible hours and bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. They are not just a dental practice, they are family!

I, like most people, don't really care for the dentist. I liken it to paying taxes. You don't want to, but you know you should. That being said, the crew at The Gentle Dentist made every reasonable accommodation to make sure I was comfortable and informed. There was no judgement towards me or negative attitudes, even after admitting I had gone nearly a decade since my last dental visit. Molly was the Dental Hygienist who did my cleaning and x-rays. She was patient and professional the entire time. The reception staff was polite and flexible when doing my in process paperwork, and when schedduling my follow up visit. Everyone did their best to answer any questions or concerns I had. If there were a 6 star option, I would leave 6 stars.
Without a doubt the best dentist I've ever been to. Always so friendly organized and informative. I've never liked going to the dentist but The Gentle Dentist team makes it comfortable and as worry free as possible. They really do care about their customers. Highly, HIghly, recommend.

They do a great job! Very flexible, often times able to have my entire family of 5 in for our cleanings and be in & out within 1 hour. My kids look forward to going & they enjoy the Smile Club!
I have always been treated very well but this last visit stands out. I had just come from my family Doctor appointment where my 18 lb weight loss was met with indifference. Lisa Baker was my hygienist and when I shared with her my recent accomplishment she showed such an interest. I know it's just a little thing but it meant a great deal to me. Everyone is always so encouraging and smiles are abundant!
I have been going there since around 2000. The dentist there are knowledgeable and kind. I have had some major issues over the years and they have always taken care of me. The staff is great and the service is good.
All of the staff are super nice and engaging. They get my 2 toddlers and me in and out in under an hour with all smiles and giggles! I appreciate their patience and how they strive to make personal connections with their patients so you re more like family you haven t seen in 6 months rather than just another doctor s visit.
I had been going to Gentle Dentist for years. My crown fell off so I scheduled an appointment. While waiting in the waiting room I received an important business call that I had to take. I was just out in the hall when I came back 10 minutes later the receptionist said I had to reschedule. I was within eye sight of them, they could have told me that they were ready. We can wait for hours on them but, they can't wait a few minutes.
This is not the first time she was rude and dismissive. Highly DO NOT recommend.
I contacted the office and went back and forth via email a few times trying to determine if they accepted my insurance. Eventually it was determined that they did and I was told, after describing my situation (which included needing a cleaning, a new crown, and a root canal) that I would need to come in for a cleaning and basic once over. I was told it would cost $60-ish for the visit. All employees/staff I encountered were very pleasant. They took X-rays and then had my teeth cleaned. The dental hygienist looked at the X-rays and said she didn't see anything that looked like cavities, but that the dentist would obviously need to take a look. I was then told that they were only able to do a "partial" cleaning and that I'd have to schedule a second visit to have them finish! I've seen my fair share of dentists in my 35 years of life and I have NEVER been told that they could only perform half the cleaning! That set off a red flag, so I asked if that would require a second charge to finish the job and I was assured that it would be billed to my insurance as my second yearly cleaning, which seems kind of shady to me and would have meant that any future cleanings in that year would not be covered by my insurance because they only allow two a year. Then the dentist showed up and told me that, not only did I need a root canal and a crown replaced (both of which I knew), but that I had several cavities, and that another tooth that had ALREADY had root canal therapy done on it TWICE (the first time was 10 years ago and they missed a portion of the root so another dentist had performed the root canal again, literally two months before this visit) should be done a 3rd time. I accepted all of this information graciously as I knew my teeth needed some care, but I was feeling a little taken advantage of due to their lack of being able to complete my cleaning. I made my way to the front desk and was given a receipt for almost $200, nearly 3 times what I was quoted over the phone for the visit, and told that, all together, the other work I needed would cost nearly $6000. Now, either the other dentists (mostly Worthington dentists) I've seen in my life were doing a half assed job and the Gentle Dentist is super thorough or they did half their job and charged me 3 times the amount for it. I'm not one to make a scene. I did ask about why it was more than quoted, but I was also trying to wrap my head around the cost of the other procedures and the receptionist trying to explain what insurance would pay depending on whether or not I met certain waiting periods, and so on. The two stars are for everyone's general pleasantness and the swag I got (lip balm, toothbrush, mouthwash, toothpaste, etc.) Generally icky feeling about their overall honesty.
My 5 year daughter was nervous and scared to go to the dentist. The staff at The Gentle Dentist was excellent with her. And Dr Fox was so great with her. Would recommend them
I don't know many people who actually enjoy going to the dentist. It seems it's one of those things you put off doing until you have a problem or when you realize it's been awhile since you've had your teeth cleaned and checked. Due to bad experiences as a child, I am afraid to go to the dentist; afraid as to how much it will hurt. I've been to other dentists over the years but now have found my forever dentist after coming here. Everyone was very kind and patient. They are very professional. I had my teeth cleaned and X-rayed. I felt comfortable the entire time. I actually was able to relax and unclench my hands! Scheduling my appointment was a breeze as was checking in. I would easily recommend The Gentle Dentist to anyone looking for a dentist. They're in an easy to find location, conveniently located about 2 minutes off 270.
This practice has it all together! The communication is great, their staff is friendly and everything they do is results driven and customer oriented. I highly recommend Dr. Nash and hygienist Sydney! Great duo!

The dentists and dental hygienists are truly very gentle. They are excellent with adults and kids alike. I have referred many people to them with kids that are deathly scared of the dentist and the kids and parents alike were so pleased. The staff are all exceptionally nice and so helpful. Thankful a colleague recommended them to me in 2006.
The Gentle Dentist and Dr Baker are wonderful. I had a crown put on and Dr. Baker has personally called me after several adjustments to make sure that everything is feeling right. She takes the time out of her schedule for me. This goes above and beyond what is expected and I am truly appreciative. The staff at the Gentle Dentist is also very helpful and they want to make sure each and every visit is personal and pleasant. I would recommend everyone I know to go to the Gentle Dentist.
Have been going here for years when dr. Coleman was alive and after and I have never ever had a bad experience my gums are receding and I have a very sensitive mouth and every time I go for a teeth cleaning I am always very very comfortable beautiful wonderful staff prices are very fair if you don't try it and the balls in your court
I can t say enough great things about my experiences at The Gentle Dentist. From their friendly front desk staff to the actual hygienists and dentists, everyone is top notch. I have been a patient since I moved to Columbus for school, and now that I m leaving I know my next dentist will not even come close to the care I ve received here. So thank you to The Gentle Dentist for setting these unrealistic standards for the rest of the profession to live up to, I will miss you guys!
The Gentile Dentist group are so wonderful, caring, dedicated to helping people like me feel better and be painfree with a beautiful smile. Dr. Andy is my friend and I trust him completely to do what ever is best for me. I highly recommend this group of dental providers.
This is my second visit with Dr. Fox at The Gentle Dentist. I would again like to thank this facility for their flexibility in hours and availability. I was scheduled at 7am. I arrived at 6:50, was in the chair before 7, and out the door 45 minutes later! Dr. Fox cleaned and examined my teeth herself. My teeth are extremely sensitive, which she knew, and she was so gentle (I know they re the Gentle Dentist, lol) that my anxiety was almost nonexistent. If you re looking for staff who exude professionalism and expertise, and a facility that is cleanly and utilizes up-to-date technology, check this place out!
Oh, and Jane...thank you! I was concerned with the change in my dental insurance that I would no longer be covered at this facility. I emailed Jane with my questions and they were answered promptly and completely regarding my coverage. I was even able to schedule with Dr. Fox just by emailing with Jane.

I ve been going to Gentle Dentist for about 5 years and they ve been perfect. First, I never have to wait. When I check in for my appointment, I m rarely in the building a minute before my checkup starts. Then, the appointment has always been smooth, complete with tv at the dental chair (I usually watch ESPN). Mostl importantly, the hygienists and dentists are very friendly and professional. I will continue to use them for my dental care as long as I live in the area.

I would highly recommend the Gentle Dentist office. Everyone at the Gentle Dentist has been very good to me. They are always very friendly & never judgmental. Before I started going to the Gentle Dentist, every experience I have ever had at a dental office was the polar opposite. I recently had an accident which caused me to break quite a few of my teeth. I had my exam with Dr. Gall & he was a tremendous help in deciding what I should do next, as I do have other dental complications. The staff up front was more than helpful by working out an appointment the very next day after my exam. The day of my procedure I was under the care of Dr. Jensen. The staff spoke very highly of him & I can understand why. He was exceptional. I was immensely nervous about my procedure but Dr. Jensen put my mind at ease. The procedure went well & I am now much more comfortable in my mouth. I am the most appreciative. Thank you all so much!
Very fast, no time in the waiting room. Always friendly staff, professional, and made sure my needs were met. Like that the copay was taken care of at the time when leaving, no need to wait for the bill to pay later.

One of the best dental cares. I used to be so scared of dentists. But this place is so comfortable and they take care of the patients so well. All the staff are so kind and courteous. The doctors and nurses answet all the questions so patiently. And the most important thing is that they are do punctual. There is literally no wait time. Overall it is a good dental care facility.

They are amazing at the Gentle Dentist and I have been there numerous times now.
I have always had a semi phobia of the dentist after a bad childhood experience, so much so that I would fly to Atlanta to go to one of my old dentist offices from back when I lived there as it was one of the only places I felt comfortable. However several years ago I discovered the Gentle Dentist in Worthington, just around the corner, and they have been amazing! Kelly was my technician and she was incredible and very sensitive and understanding as to having some anxiety around it initially (as silly as it must seem which in the past has been embarrassing). She made me feel comfortable the entire time, made it painless, and did a great job. (For someone with anxiety when going to the dentist, they also have Nitrous which can really make it a relaxing experience.)
I have also been seen by two of the dentists there, and they demonstrated the very highest level of customer service I have seen, and were very knowledgeable and skilled. I would highly recommend Kelly and the office of The Gentle Dentist to anyone who might be looking for a dental office that cares and does a great job!
We have been coming here since 2012. They run a well oiled machine and will make you wonder why all medical offices don't this way. They are always cheery and make you very comfortable. They really live up to their name of being gentle. All the images from Little Shop of Horrors will melt away once they start your cleaning. They are very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have no matter how numerous. They make you feel very at ease with their recommendations, helping you to feel they will only recommend procedures that are truly necessary. Love this place!
My appointments are always on time. Such professional staff. Today, my hygienist was Kelly. She is always pleasant. Dr Andy deserves a gold star. He always asks about my family and how work is going.
Having dental chair anxiety, I avoided going to the dentist for years. Not wanting to return to my previous dentist, I finally got up the courage to schedule an appointment with The Gentle Dentist. They truly live up to their name! I felt at ease and relaxed during my cleaning. Fortunately, I take good care of my teeth at home so I didn t have any cavities or other areas of concern. I will not delay going back for a cleaning when I am due. Scheduling was easy and they were on time for my appointment and my kids appointments too. My teens love the Gentle Dentist too!
Dr. Wharton and his staff are great people. Very conservative in their assessments, not trying to ring you up on unnecessary root canals and other work. There seems to be an emphasis toward saving your existing teeth. They really make you feel as comfortable as dental work can feel. Also the prices are good for cash pay people.
By far the best dentist I have been to. They are efficient, on time and really care for me and my family. I get follow up calls and texts from the dentists themselves. They have the efficiency and cleanliness of a drug manufacturer and the warmth and caring of a grandmother after you skin your knee.
Another check up, another great appointment! The Gentle Dentist is honestly the only place that should be taking care of your teeth if you live in the Worthington area. Over 20 years as a patient and I've NEVER had a bad experience!

I recently changed jobs and was concerned that my new insurance would not be compatible at the Gentle Dentist but I was determined to figure a way to stay with them. As it turns out, my new job has the same dental insurance so I dont have to worry, because I refused to find a new Dental office anyway. I've always had a fear of the dentist and would cancel appointments because I just couldn't get over my fear. When I was referred by a friend to try the gentle dentist I was extremely nervous and my blood pressure was high due to anxiety. The staff took amazing care of me and made sure I was comfortable at all time. I love this place and now keep appointments and blood pressure is normal. I recommend the gentle dentist to everyone.
I am a new patient of the Gentle Dentist. However, I have yet to have my first cleaning. While oit of town I experienced tooth pain, so I called and asked could I been seen when arrive back home even though I haven t had my first appointment yet. The receptionist was very kind and understanding while scheduling my appointment. When I arrived to check in for my appointment, the front desk staff welcomed me with warm, smiles. Most people are very apprehnsive in going to the dentist for many different reasons. This dentist office is excellent in customer serviceans patient care. Dr. Andy Nash took great care of me as well as and Deb the dental hygienist. One of the best thing that I experienced was my dentist checked on me three days later to see how I was doing. This sealed the deal for me being a patient at The Gentle Dentist. I have never had a dentist do this before. I am thrilled and proud to say I am a patient of The Gentle Dentist.
