The whole staff is excellent! We have been coming here for many years and will continue to do so for a long time. Both our kids love going to the dentist (2 and 4) and that should speak wonders for how excellent they are.
All of the staff are professional and friendly. There are numerous dentists and hygienists, so you can usually find a time to visit that fits your schedule. They do excellent work. I would highly recommend them.

I'm always pleased with service but I'm always keenly aware of a huge lack of racial diversity on the staff of The Gentle Dentist. This should be improved. I've no doubt that there are qualified persons of color who could add perspective and innovation to the team.
I have a legitimate dentist phobia. I found Gentle Dentist while I lived in Columbus. I now live in Cincinnati and still drive to Columbus for all my dental work. They really care about me. They go out of their way to ensure I am comfortable.
It was very clean, procedures clearly communicated and all precautions taken by the staff. The were no worries to have my teeth cleaned during the pandemic.
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience as new patients. They were friendly, kind, and gentle. I had to return for two fillings and they took their time and made it as painless as possible. The doctor even called me herself to check on me the next day! They are incredibly skilled and have reasonable costs. We are happy to have officially found our home dentist now!

My friend led me to Gentle Dentist after a horrible experience with a dentist in Johnstown! Gentle Dentist put my mind at ease in regards to my overall gum and teeth health! Gentle Dentist was for sure Gentle! I didn t even feel the the periodontal exam! My cleaning felt amazing! My gums and teeth haven t felt that massage and polish in such a long time! I actually left the dentist with zero anxiety as opposed to previous dental visits elsewhere! The hygienist gave me multiple breaks so that my TMJ could relax! Make sure you ask if your insurance is In Network. I have Metlife, and they told me they would "work with" my insurance. I now have a $64.50 bill for an exam and two x-rays that would have been fee in-network.
Just had a really great first experience at The Gentle Dentist. They did everything right from a polite greeting as I walked in to complete care as they cleaned my teeth. The woman assisting me was awesome and did a great job explaining everything that she was doing and what I could do do improve my dental health.
My 12 yo was very nervous about getting a baby tooth removed. Dr. Cronin was great with her and explained everything that was going to happen. She really took her time, encouraged my daughter to ask questions and answered them all. This is been our experience with every dentist there for years. Can not recommend them enough!

I've never had a good experience at a dentist before coming here. I've had a number of root canals, teeth pulled, fillings, and cleanings that always ended in me being in tears from the pain and in the end the fear of the pain from every other dentist I had gone to. Today was the first dental procedure I've had in 30 years that didnt hurt, and they work hard to calm your nerves to make you comfortable. I have finally found a dentist I will be a loyal customer of, and reccomend them to anyone.
The name speaks for itself. I have never left with sore gums after a cleaning. It feels like a family atmosphere every time and I'm happy to go for my scheduled cleanings. I'd recommend them if you don't have a dentist office. They're also open late for the first shift families.

Like many, I have difficulty getting myself to the dentist. I've been to multiple practices, but I've finally landed at one that understands me. The doctors and assistants at the Gentle Dentist take the time to talk to you as a person, not just a patient, and understand that some people might not be too keen to repair the mouth they've neglected. The professionals at the Gentle Dentist do not judge and handle you with care, treating any outstanding issues and giving you a treatment plan to keep you moving forward. It's nice to see the human element still exists in dentistry and I'm so thankful for their caring staff.
Side note: Headache treatment? Not really something I think about when I visit the dentist, but when I let Dr. Baker know I've been having stress headaches and migraines she suggested a round of Botox. I was surprised to learn about this non-invasive, easy treatment available in a dental setting, but Dr. Baker took the time to explain the procedure, process and long-term plan of addressing this issue.
I am so, so, so happy to say that after a round of injections, I no longer have the same clenched, muscular headaches. I was waking up every morning with the same pain throughout my jaw and forehead, but it has completely disappeared! I can honestly say I never would have asked my primary physician about something like this, so it's awesome to know I can combine this type of treatment with my regular dental work. I'm even afraid of needles, but as always, the Gentle Dentist lived up to its gentle name. A painless procedure made everything better. Thanks, Dr. Baker!

Dr.Taylor and his assistants, Taylor and Joyce are amazing. Had been quite awhile since I have been to the dentist and was so hesitant, but realized I had to get some problems I have been having looked at and taken care of. Took an hour and a half for a routine cleaning. Was not gentle and kept trying to upsale extra screenings and procedures. I had them check if X-rays were covered they said yes, I went up front and was told sorry that was a mistake and had to pay before leaving. Will not be going back.

I want to thank The Gentle Dentist for the care for my brother and sister in laws. Both of them moved to Columbus after living in a place for over 60 years. They were afraid that the dentist they would get in Columbus would not be like the dentist they had known most of all their lives. The Gentle Dentist fit the bill!!! Both of them enjoyed their visit, received help with finances, and have upcoming appointments for some much needed dental care. I've always had amazing care at the Gentle Dentist. I enjoy great convenience with scheduling flexible appointments, and I'm greeted by an amazing and polite staff in a relaxing environment. The dentists and assistants are excellent, and I've never had any problems with the care they've provided. I got a bite guard made here with such precision that it fit comfortably the first time. I'm impressed with the attention to detail for the cleanings as well. It's so easy to have a smile walking out from an appointment with shiny teeth, and personalized attention. I switched to the Gentle Dentist about a year ago and had a good experience with my cleaning. I also had a cracked tooth that required a new crown and they recommended replacing an old filling. The temporary crown and filling replacement seemed to go fine.
On my next visit it was time to have the permanent crown placed. My problem was with the "tech" who fit and placed the crown. Since I'm not crazy about Novocaine I decided to forgo the shot since this should have been a relatively quick procedure. Not so fast! The tech set and pulled the crown at least a dozen times! After 5 or 6 tries I ended up having to go with the shot due to a lot of pain.
After finally making it through the procedure I was told that all service charges not covered by insurance were due in full before I leave. I was not expecting that and was not prepared so I had to put this on a credit card.
After about 2 weeks I still had significant pain on both the new crown and the replaced filing. Plus, the crown just didn't feel right so I made another appointment. The dentist told me that the crown looked fine and tried to make some minor bite adjustments. I was told that if the pain didn't subside that I would need a root canal, on both teeth!
Well, the pain didn't subside so I decided to get a second opinion. Glad I did, too! My new dentist found that the crown was too high in the back and my bite was way off. After one adjustment to the new crown and the botched filling repair, voila! No more pain. How glad do you think I am for not going to the endodontist? Beware.

I was dealing with an fractured abscessed tooth. The place said it opened at 7am! I m new in Columbus so I get there on time with my newborn son and the woman comes to the door half way opens it and says can I help and I said I m here to get examined and she says we don t open until 8 when it was other patients there so I wait until 8 and while having an abscessed tooth I m in extreme extreme pain and the doctor only prescribed me antibiotics and nothing for the pain and hands me out the door. I pleaded with the woman I needed something for the pain she insisted the antibiotics was good enough for the pain. I suffered for another day with a newborn kid until i found another dentist who could see the problem and fixed me up. I honestly believe it was racial motivated. The entire staff was white. I wouldn t recommend this place if I was in dire need.

Today was my first cleaning after switching dentist. I could not be more happy. They were thorough and listened to all of my concerns. I never felt rushed. Going to the dentist has always given me anxiety and the staff has eased that anxiety for me!
Super friendly staff and providers. Post COVID reopening i felt very safe as there were marked spots for social distancing and everyone was wearing PPE accordingly. Great dental office.

I really loved this place, so it is sad I have to give them a bad review. The staff and doctors are great!! But, they told me that they "accept" my insurance, but failed to tell me that they were an out of network office for my insurance. I had to pay for almost everything out of pocket.
I never have to wait longer than 5 minutes. I am always greeted with a smile , and anyone who works with me does their best to make me comfortable. I felt confident that I was being protected and had sufficient coverage to ensure my safety!

I came here on 1/4/2019 with my wife and 4-year-old son to do a routine dental check up and teeth cleaning. This my son's first time to the dentist since he was a small infant, and so he was a bit apprehensive. But he had a fantastic experience because his hygienist Lisa was SO amazing!! She was super warm and caring, and explained everything in a way that was fun and easily understandable for my son, throughout the whole process. I couldn't have imagined a better person to be my son's first memorable experience at the dental office. My son's dentist, Dr. Dexter, was similarly kind, and gave lots of helpful tips for caring for my son's oral hygiene.
My own appointment was stellar too. My hygienist Mike was obviously very skilled and also took the time to explain everything for me and answered all of my questions; my dentist Dr. Gall also provided very helpful advice with respect to my treatment plan. Nothing hurt, everything was comfortable, everybody we met was super friendly and nice, and the "welcome gift" of an electric toothbrush set was a very pleasant surprise!
My family is moving away from Ohio soon, and The Gentle Dentist is among one of the things I REALLY wish we could take with us!!

I have had issues with tooth sensitivity for years and this is the first practice to take extra precautions to keep me pain free without a head full of novacaine.
