Very efficient, friendly and helpful. Don't go if you're claustrophobic, the cabins are extremely tight and small. I was dizzy going up and down the arch. Otherwise it's worth it, especially on a sunny day.

Another St. Louis must do. Enjoyed my trip to the top very much. BE AWARE though, if you are claustrophobic this is not for you. The tram ride is 4 min up and 3 min down and you are put in a small circular pod big enough for 5 people. Ours had four adults in it and I was super happy there was not a fourth. The views from the top are amazing, so if you can handle it do it! Also, before getting on the tram the make you watch quite a few videos that are mostly about the time period the arch was built.

Omg I'm so glad I visited here! It was really easily accessible- you can just drive right up to it! No paying for parking or anything :) It really is something I'd tell everyone to go see if you ever have the chance - its huge and breathtaking!

The Museum below the Arch was very informative regarding St. Louis history, with some hands on fun. You walk thru the museum to get in line to go up to the top of the Arch for viewing when its your scheduled time. Each pod (elevator) holds 5 people. Due to COVID, only the people you came with are allowed in the pod with you. Once you get to the top, there is a step that will allow short ones to lean over to look out of the small windows. You CAN see EVERYTHING! You can go back down in the pods and back to the museum to look around if you did not get to see everything before your timed entry to the top. There IS a food place there (expensive) I paid $12 for a water and deep fried Ravioli! Lol When you are done, walk out of the museum near the food place, walk down the steps, and go to the River Boat for their cruise! This makes for good pictures. The lawn around it has nice benches and sidewalks and information posts along the river to the Arch. The green lawn around the arch use to be the main village/city. The old church still stands and is in use today.

Love the arch, you can park close for about 10 bucks or a bit further for half that or even less, it was kind of chilly so we parked close. Don't forget to use the front entrance now and check out the world class museum either prior to or after your trip to the top. A big thank you to the will call agent today who was able to move up the time of our trip since I scheduled it incorrectly. We did not stay overnight this time, but you can grab a room for less than 100 a night most the time. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Its beautiful arch . You can take a trolly inside the arch and reach the tip of it and take the whole amazing city view . Adult price is $13.00 and child 5-15 is $10.00 . The view from capitol is amazing

Was really cool. 630 feet high at the top of the Arch. There is a Museum, Restaurant and Gift shop under ground under the Arch. Great to visit this historic site, especially for families.

If you walk to the arch from the river side finding the entrance can be confusing, it's not at the archway it's up the hill and actually built into the hill but once you're aware of that, the signs are easy to follow. I definitely suggest buying your tickets online in advance. We walked into the entrance and walked right through security to get to the tram entrance. We did not eat at the cafe but it smelled delicious. There are vending machines for those not interested in the cafe but are thirsty or just need a snack. There is definitely a lot of history here and if you enjoy history lessons this is definitely a must see.

Well what can I say the arch is always a heat place for city event and a stunning view. If you never been to the arch go check it out its free! Haven't been to the top well also check that out :). The city lights and water are stunning and I hope to get pictures that's not from my phone soon!

Interesting how the arch was built. The system they use for how people get on the trams to the top needs improvement. They let anybody in who has a ticket instead of boarding by reservation time like at the airport.

Iconic American spot. Arrive early. There is a new entrance on the west side of the arch. It would be helpful to plan ahead if you are going. When we went they were sold out for the day. We were unable to go up to the top. We ended up honing through the new museum. It was busy for a Sunday afternoon.

There is a viewpoint across the river on the east side. It is a decent walk from parking, so be prepared if you are going with someone with mobility issues.

It's an amazing monument. Order tickets online to avoid Iines. Be prepared to do the equivalent of an airline security point checkin (no metal/belts/phones). No strollers allowed at the top of the arch, but they have a place to park them. The museum has been completely redone (opened July, 2018) and is very interactive (touch screens, lots of videos, etc.). The arch is a must do, if you're in St. Louis!

We were in St. Louis for 24 hours and we're so glad we went to the arch. The museum is free and very well done. The documentary film went into detail about the construction of the arch. The line for the tram ride to the top was rather long, despite have timed tickets. It was worth it, though. Even the food at the cafe was far better than expected. Highly recommend going here. Great family outing.

A work of art and amazing engineering! The gateway to the west. If you are visiting St Louis this and the AB Brewery tour are musts on our itinerary. As well as a Cardinals game if you are visiting in the summer. Recently had a (2) year makeover and completely updated. Have fun!

It s always a good place to visit and they do have fond memories. We were treated as a child to a big trip into a big city of St Louis. Born in the country a being able to see this as it was being constructed was unbelievable.

It s still pretty amazing when I m able to travel to go see it. At one time my mom used to drive all the way there once or twice a week so she could be a tour guide.

The last time we were in St Louis we were able to go down to the District and we couldn t believe how high the water level was because of all the flooding. Roads that I remember at the bottom of the arch closer to the river are all gone you could barely see the street lights hanging out of the water . It was a incredible site.

A lot of changes have gone on in that area since the arch was construction in 1967. They had to get the area below the arch or salad so it wouldn t flood. It s really cool all the history in the museums that are free to the public for you to explore about the entrance to the great west.

I WOULD recommend you go have a visit because it does show you a lot of history and how it was constructed. You can even take an elevator to the top and the view is incredible.

It is unfortunate that most of the places that I remember, the great restaurants and clubs that have great music are now gone.

Aside from the fascinating architecture and engineering achievements from the 1960s, the arch offers a great museum in the base which gives wonderful tidbits of Midsouri history. The exhibit has plenty to keep the kids engaged in learning while the adults take their time reading. The staff is extremely helpful as well. I was approached several times by the staff, asking if I need help or would like a quiet place to feed my baby. This was a great family experience and I would encourage everyone to visit.

Awesome way to spend a half a day or a few hours getting to go up into the arch and have awesome views of the city and the surrounding area. Plenty of parking it's the river isn't flooded you can park for free on the riverfront. Then it's a short walk to the landing area St Louis where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to get a tasty bite to eat. Booking tickets ahead helps immensely immensely so you're not standing in line for long periods of time. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. They have a snack bar inside and I could take a star away because they don't serve Coke products but I won't because that's not fair.

This was my first time to visit. Over all it was a very cool experience! Very nice staff. We were late to go at the 9:00 am ride that our tickets were originally for. Thankfully, we were able to go without any complaints on the 9:30am ride. It is a tight fit inside the egg as we called it. The egg is the ferris wheel type tram pod that takes you to the top. It s a 4 foot opening to get inside of the door way. The windows at the top are much smaller than I expected. You have to lean way over to look out of them. It was a beautiful view! I did enjoyed that you have as much time at the top as you would like. They have a large gift shop that the end. I would go back again if I m with someone who has not visited before.

The whole family had a blast! We only spent a hour there but if you kids are 8+ they could spend 2-3 hours in the museum portion. Great view and agree covid restrictions make this a better attractive because of less crowds.

The view from the top left me absolutely speechless. The ride to the top was a little nerve racking, but once we reached the top it was worth every second. It was also great touring the inside and going to the gift shops and learning about the Arch. I look forward to being able to go again.

It has been years since I had been here. Since the renovation/new entrance was completed I figured it there was no better time to take the kids to the Arch! Ton of fun stuff for the family. If you are headed to the top you have to ride in a small special elevator. It can be snug but as a bigger guy it wasn t uncomfortable. The view is amazing! I don t enjoy heights too much but was completely fine with everything. Museum was pretty cool even my kids (age 2/5/6) found interesting things to interact with. There is a ton of space for a picnic or nice stroll. You can buy food and drinks there too or down at one of the places on the riverfront.

There's a lot here for people willing to spend the time. The presentation before getting into the cars that travel up the Arch is cute and cool and history-packed. The museum is rather good as well. And this was the right time to see it, weekday in November, no crowds, we didn't wait in a line anywhere.

Really cool tour of the arch. I like how they give information about it everywhere. The movie was pretty interesting on the building of the arch. Wish there was more about the internal workings.
The museum is free and amazing! Very interactive and modern. I spent a few hours walking around and didn't quite read it all, but great info about the history of the United States.

Its definitely cool, and the looks feel of the place has a 60s-dish feel to it, which I dug (even the elevators to the top had that feel). Only draw back was security, and then the line to actually go up...I'd recommend going early, because by midday the lines for both were LONG.

This was a fun and interesting place to take the kids. Don t go if you are claustrophobic. You ride to the top in a tiny capsule with four other people, and the top is like bring in a medium sized airplane cabin with no seats- just people milling about. Still, neat views and fun history lesson.

well laid out with lots of displays and information. helpful staff who knew their script. the views are impressive if rather samey since its all flat. the national pride and memorial aspect probably offers more to the American tourist than the international traveler. worth the visit when you are in the city but i wouldn't go there just to see this.

The arch itself is gigantic and an astonishing feat of construction. It's located at a highly picturesque location. The wait time to go to the top can get a little longer at times, but it's totally worth it.

Although my kids are 14 and 12, they proclaimed our visit to the Arch as 'Awesome' and 'Totally worth it' so I'd say that's pretty high praise. :) It was a good visit and can be completed in a single morning or afternoon of your choice.

It has been almost 10 years since our last visit. We came on a very unusually cold day and had no wait in line but have heard that wait times can be up to an hour. If you are claustrophobic, you will not enjoy the elevator ride but we thought it was a blast! Views from the top were awesome!!!!

Coming over the hill on I-70, it was quite a site to behold. It seemed larger in the distance than we imagined, but we kept getting closer and closer and it kept getting higher and higher in the sky.
Such a unique monument, it was impressive to see along the river. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction going on so we didn't get the experience we hoped. We couldn't walk all around it, and it opens surprisingly late in the morning, we didn't get a chance to go up as we were just passing through and had to be going by 10:00 am on Saturday. We hope to visit again after the construction is all finished up.
It was still worth stopping to see, walking under it makes you feel pretty insignificant under this towering beauty. The location along the river adds to the aura that you feel standing beside it. A fun place to just sit and watch the river go by, the boats as they pass beside along, and the people like myself, necks arched to look up at this shining testament to westward expansion.
We arrived at roughly 8:00 am on a Saturday morning with a pickup and small trailer. We managed to find parking less than a block away and there were several small shops open in the area for breakfast, but the gift shops were not open.
If going on the weekend, getting there early seems like a good idea to find parking, but plan to stay a little longer and enjoy more as I hope to do next time.
