Lines were short and buying your tickets online is easy. All staff were helpful and friendly. I would suggest charging stations at every bench inside the Arch. You can't take pics when you phone/camera dies

Great park along the water. Lots of paths. Museum looked great but didn't have time on schedule to go in or go up to top. Interesting history plaques throughout. Secure, clean park. Good views.
The arch and surrounding area is always gorgeous and neat to see. The only downside was that the tickets sold out faster than expected. Definitely buy ahead of time if your planning to go. But the museum, grounds and arch are beautiful!
Hadn't been in about 20 years... They've done a fantastic job with keeping the museum updated and entertaining. My kids loved going up and being able to see everything.
The renovations downstairs were unbelievable, museum was very interesting, nice little shop and cafeteria as well. We spent a couple of hours on premise and enjoyed ourselves. If you haven't taken the ride up the arch you need to.
Even though we could not go up to the top, the info center experience was worth the trip. The staff is very friendly and engaging in teaching and talking about the architecture and history of the arch.
Line was too long to go up when I just went there recently after the reopening. But I've been up many times throughout the years, and it's definitely something you should do if you go there and haven't gone up. Lines were kept longer with higher security, but that makes sense.
The new and expanded museum is great; interesting local history. Expanded grounds are beautiful.
Enjoyed very much, plan on walking as there was no parking near the Arch for safety reasons. Great pictures from atop the Arch, weekends and summer might have less school groups.
So awesome. Jaw dropping. Nice clean park. Very inviting. Parking was very close and inexpensive. Enjoyed this very much. We can't wait to come back and do a helicopter tour. Which is conveniently located by the water.
The Gateway Arch of St. Louis is probably the best infrastructure of Missouri. They have construction going on right now so I strongly advise to buy ticket online. They always have huge line there at ticket counter. We enjoyed our trip. They have small museum at the basement of tower. The trip to the top of tower was awesome. You can see stadium and most of St. Louis downtown from the top. The lighting in St. Louis Downtown looks amazing at night so buy ticket around 7 PM. Parking might be very tricky so try to find a good location to park before you go to the arch. There are some parking at riverside but they close after 5 PM. At river, they have helicopter ride and cruise. Both of them are amazing. If you plan to ride those as well, get your ticket online. Enjoy your trip.
Lots of details and information given on the arch. Such an amazing visit. the employees knew the history and we're friendly I want to go back again and spend more time.
Going to the arch is definitely an experience everyone should have the chance to go through when in St. Louis. The view from up there is spectacular. I will say that the elevator ride is a little bit scary though.
Everyone should do it at least once. The ride to the top was interesting to say the least. If you're not a fan of tight spaces you may have some issues.
The pictures taken outside of the Arch come out amazing, especially when it's sunny. It's a beautiful monument. It's also worth it to check out the Museum for free and learn more about the history of St. Louis. The small cabins that took us to the top were most exciting (not recommended for claustrophobic people) but not as exciting once you get to the top. Very small space and it took us exactly 5 min and wanted to go down already. Beautiful view but not worth the 2 hr wait (personal opinion).
The views from the top of the arch were incredible. The museum that told the history of the arch was well presented and keeps your attention & isn't boring.
The arch is really cool. The museum is beautiful and seems newly redone. The exhibits really help you understand some of the st Louis history. The video of the building of the arch is a little dated, but totally interesting. (Granted, I'm a science/engineering nerd) the ride up is in a small pod. Definitely not for the claustrophobic. But it's cool (except not the temperature, it's steamy inside). The whole arch is an amazing engineering feat. If it was built today, I'm sure there observation area would have much bigger windows that supported larger views, but there's something about the small windows that makes it even feel more special. Go up. It's worth it.
Fun to be up close and they really made the surrounding area beautiful - wish they include more shady spots to sit Under Given the Missouri summer heat.
They really have upped the museum! I love it! Everything about the Arch is the same as it was when I was a kid. Kind of cool to have a memory trip in the tiny tram to the top. And the lobby is beautiful. Great experience and my 4yo loved it.
My only issues with this was the staff that was incessant on being rude when you were going through security. The guard was throwing everyone's stuff and tossing bins into the machine with such carelessness.
This is my third visit to St. Louis and time finally allowed me to go up into the Arch. Great informative movie before the ride to the top and beautiful views from the top. Something you must do at least once.
The view is incredible & beautiful! Although the tram ride is a bit tight and venlitation is low it was worth it once you reached the top. There are 16 Windows on each side of the arch. It takes about 3-4 minutes to go up and down. There is a free Museum & gift shop. I would recommend on prebooking your tickets online!
This place was awesome! I ve never been before and was excited to see it. The price was a bit high for the ride up ($16.00), but I realized that workers gave a mini history lesson and helped make your experience more educational and fun; our tour guide was JJ and she was kind, funny, and favored by our party - give her a raise! I would totally recommend this place to others, but beware of the tiny elevators up; they re a bit tight!
It's an arch. There's a ride in it. The wind will blow you around at the top. Great place for a live concert or to just walk around and enjoy the city. The Mississippi River is dynamic and you could get lost for a few minutes in your own thoughts.
We stopped in St. Louis for an overnight place to see and added the Arch to list. We stayed downtown nesr convention center and walked here. The limes were short and the people here all loved their jobs. They helped us with everything we wanted to do and see. The ride up was cheap and very cool, my ears popped a few times as you go up 600 plus feet. The views from the top were so awesome we could have stayed all day. The rangers here were very helpful pointing out buildings and sights from the top. When we go back to the area this stop is back on things to do, it was that good. We might try for evening ride up to see the cities lights.
Had a great experience here! Couldn t believe they have a lift/tram inside the legs of the arch! And the way they work, really interesting! I got the tickets for only the boat cruise and the arch but will be back next time I m there to try the movie. The view from top was awesome! And vertically down you could see the base of the arch! The pictures look as if taken from a satellite!
Such an amazing experience! From the museum to the top, this is all so impressive. The tour guide speaking in the introduction needed to have a mic, as it was hard to hear...but other than that staff was helpful and friendly. One little tip is that the trolley to the top may make you feel funny...I'm not usually afraid of heights, but looking out the window at the inside structure of the arch was a bit unnerving! Once reaching the top, the feeling went away, thankfully!
This review is for the Google Map app itself. Used the app for a 2,100 mile road trip and had no issues ! I would like to suggest one additional option be included for the settings. For me, having current weather conditions would be beneficial. Ran into a torrential downpour that made driving very dangerous and could not get a clear radio signal.
The only place my 14 year old son found interesting on our week long road trip. Visiting here was really inexpensive and a perfect opportunity to rent a bike and explore the historic area. Going to the top is a must while visiting. Parking is limited so be prepared to pay for it at any of the small lots or the garage nearby. Total for my son and me was about 30 bucks between parking, arch, and bike rental.
Quite nice and organized. Should visit on a bright sunny day though. Tram to the top is a must and it is better to book online as the queues can be long.
Very cool experience. Not cool if you're at all claustrophobic or have mobility issues. They are working on developing an "equivalent experience" to meet ADA standards. Museum at base of arch worth an extra hour or so.
Best parts were the film and museum. Ride to the top was ok. Best part was seeing inside arch. Elevator is small, the view from top very nice, but same as you d see from a tall building. Standing underneath it was amazing!!
This is an absolute must-see. Located in St. Louis at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, it has stood for decades and is the true symbol of entering the west. The ride to the top is worth it just to be able to say that you were there. Great view of Busch Stadium, too!
This has always been one of my favorite landmarks to visit in my lifetime. The recent renovations a couple years ago make it even better now than it was before. I remember how much different it was years ago and the museum is definitely a nice added touch. This place is definitely worth visiting if you are ever in the St. Louis area.
If you ever get the chance to take a ride to the top of the monument, I would HIGHLY suggest it. Looking out across the city from the observatory filled me with a child like sense of joy.
The monument is AMAZING. Seeing the video on how it was built was really interesting and I enjoyed it. Taking the team to the top was a cool experience, and even my mom who is afraid of heights, enjoyed it. The views are amazing from the top. I'm really glad we went as the sun was starting to set. I would have given this review a 5 if it wasn't for the unfriendly, rude worker in the food court. I couldn't find a separate listing for them, but everything else was great!
Parking was far away. There are continuous rides going up and down. They let people off at at the top and let them stay as long as they want and it is a small standing space about 4 to 5 feet wide. The Windows are only about 6 inches high by maybe 2 feet long. People are shoving and shoulder to shoulder. The tram has 5 seats crunched together in a circle. Security will x ray everything and do a body scan if detectors go off.
Beautiful area just off the Mississippi. I'm going to rate it a 3 simply because getting in and around this area has so many unique challenges. You either park in the city side and walk or come in from the river side and deal with pedestrians, horse drawn carriages, or people in their vehicles stopping every 200ft to take pictures. Road construction season was in full swing and it was nearly impossible to get to the park from the river side. It didn't help that some crazy high snowfalls also lead to massive flooding in and around the greater St. Louis area. Maybe it was just the time of day we went? I honestly could've gone without seeing it.
Beautiful park. Nice museum and gift shop. The VIEW. Interesting elevators - creepy but fun - like an amusement ride. Price wasnt bad - 10 kids and 14 adults. We parked 2 blocks away @ the quick parking lot for $4 (2.5 hours on a weekday night).
Amazing historical museum and the ride and view to the top of the arch breathtaking. A view of Missouri on one side of the Mississippi River and Illinois on the other side of the river interesting feature.
Ok... If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or use hearing aides, the low sound quality of a cement structure makes it exceedingly difficult to hear the narration of the video. The website says they have captions for deaf people, but when I asked for captions, I was told they don't have captions. And they don't. They really don't have captions for deaf people. Was grossly disappointing as my assistive hearing device doesn't do that great of a job to begin with, but then put it into an echo chamber of a concrete theater to see how the Arch was built and it's a disaster.
Fed run program and they don't have the captions that are openly proclaimed on the website where I bought the tickets? Disappointing because they are supposed to adhere to ADA laws. Oh well.
This must be the smallest national park. I'm still surprised it is one. We had a really short stay and due to covid we weren't able to go to the top. The museum ... a bit hard to follow and hard to relate some topics (Indian War) with the significance of the place.
Superior National Park!!!!! Excellent educational experience!!!!! Learning from our past is the best way to improve our future. They don't sugar coat anything.
The tram ride up the Arch is amazing!!!! Spectacular views and incredible experience.
The documentary movie was informative and entertaining too.
The Arch Cafe has an excellent menu and very reasonable prices. We really enjoyed our lunch!!!!
OMG!!! It is one thing to drive past in on the Highway, but to experience it up close.... AMAZING!!! The construction of the Arch, is Incredibly Beautiful. It's so simplistic, but jaw dropping! I hadn't consumed enough alcoholic beverages to brave the ride. Matter-of-fact, there isn't enough alcoholic beverages I could Ever consume to make me venture on that up, over and back down. I tip my glass and hat to the brave souls who did! The grounds are beautifully manicured and the inside areas are meticulously kept. The weather that day was sunny, with a wonderful breeze. A perfect day to spend at The Gateway Arch.
This is my home state landmark and it is just so wonderful the grounds have been redone and they're still working on the riverfront but it looks so nice and soon there will be Riverboat rides please visit Meet Me In St Louis it's my home state
I love this place.it looks fantastic and definitely an engineering marvel for 1968. The tram is an interesting experience.the tiny pods are fun to ride..and the view from the top is spectacular.if you are claustrophobic then don't bother to visit this place
