A bit expensive for a claustrophobic adventure. At the top. Its packed full of people. Be prepared to park and walk quite a ways to get in.

A cool destination spot. Really informative museum.
The new redesign of the whole museum and park is absolutely beautiful. The museum especially is an amazing experience on it's own, offering lots of very interesting information about the history of the area.
A very spectacular monument.
In my opinion the most important building in St. Louis. It's worth to go early to visit it. In principle there are a lot of visitors, so the waiting period for the elevators is long.
When you up on the moment you have a spectacular view.
Recommendable when you are visiting St. Louis.
Fun! A great experience, even with COVID-19 happening. They are taking every precaution and making sure staff and guests are safe.
Not as scary as I thought it would be! Amazing view.
Went through museum since we couldn't get walk the required steps to go up into arch. Got a 4 because cafe was closed. Lots of Very friendly workers in museum. Totally loved everything in museum.
Fantastic view and worth waiting for a beautiful clear, sunny day. Museum below is fascinating and free (you just have to go through security) and the tran to the top is so unusual!
An amazing structure and well worth the trip.
Been taking pics of the arch n riverfront for years. It's awesome n magnificent structure is like coming home
It's really quite on the top and you can also feel it shake, amazing experience. The whole tour is worth it if you're into history and don't wanna read books. Overall great experience!
I lot of fun and I would highly reccomend staying at the Drury Inn and suites. Rooftop decks 3 minute walk to the arch and 6 minutes to the ballpark!
St Louis post card! The park is pretty and pleasant, and you can go up the arch using a tram. Not recommended for the claustrophobic crowd!
Very strange and cool place to see. Buy tickets to go to the top in advance though! When we got there the next available ride to the top was 3 hours away, couldn't do it without missing our fight!
So much fun! My guide was a little too talkative but obviously trying to show us a good time. Certainly friendly! Great view at the top. I don't have a fear of heights but a friend did and I'm sure it's something to consider. But for that, I say just stay further back when looking out the window. But it's a great view from the top!
The museum was extremely nice and well designed! Very nicely redone since I had last been there. It was just a little confusing on where the entrance was because the last time I entered at the base of the Arch.
Wasn't expecting security to be that of tsa quality with bag limits and such, but still wasn't terrible. A little slow due to a backup when someone needed their bag checked and no one was able to pull stuff from the xray.
Definitely worth a visit while in St. Louis! The staff is efficient and courteous, the facility is beautiful, amazing views and don't forget to have your kids get their JR Ranger badges.
Wish the arch was open to go up but otherwise a beautiful site.
Always a great experience. Our tour guide was pretty funny. Made the typical information more interesting. It was a gorgeous day so the view was fabulous.
Fantastic! Loved it & took great pix from every window looking out into the city.
Historic structure. Iconic symbol of St. Louis. Great views east and west.
New arch grounds look very nice. Museum feels much larger than before. Definitely worth the visit to see again.
My daughter and I loved it we had a great time I haven't been since I was a kid and they did a great job on the remodel. I wouldn't recommend parking in the bus lane because there was a parking enforcement officer just walking back and forth sticking tickets on people's cars
This place is very well constructed. We went to the tour and it showed how hard it is to build it. It is very high from the top view and cheap to go up. Like 13 bucks per adult
Pro tip: Pick the time you want to ride up and get your ticket in advance. The pre-ascent museum is good for about thirty minutes. If you show up later in the day w/o an advance ticket, you're wait will be longer than that.
What an amazing experience it was to ride up to the top and view the landscape. Perfect activity when traveling across the country with my son. He also loved it. The only thing missing was the riverboat tour, unfortunately, the water is ot if control this year and they are temporarily shut down.
This was a cool place to visit. The museum had a lot of local history about the city and surrounding area. Was able to come away with a lot of historical details about St. Louis and this portion of the mid-west.
By far a must see in your lifetime! Enjoyed this magnificent structure so much
Gateway Arch itself is great. The signage to get from the various entrances to the park to the entrance to the arch trams is poor at best. The stairways at the bases of the arch are exits but you don't know that until you try them both which is quite a bit of walking. The actual entrance is west of the arch but is not clearly indicated. Tram to the top is really cool but not recommended for anyone suffering from claustrophobia. The observation deck at the top offers fantastic views of St Louis and the Mississippi River but may be a little scary for those afraid of heights. Tram ride up is 4 minutes and the ride down is 3 minutes. You can spend as long as you like on the observation deck. We went on a Monday afternoon so the crowds were not that bad but I'm sure they're heavier on the weekends. There are pay parking lots nearby at Laclede's Landing and entrances to the park from there as well. It was $10 for the day to park.
This place is great. It's not very useful... It's an arch. Not even a double arch, like McDonald's,which is very useful. But it's got style... And it's shiny. That's about it.
Very cool experience. We waited an hour to go up the arch and took amazing shots. You just have to be patient since there are hundreds of people and to go up, it s a tight space but every cool to go see it.
Excellent place to see St Louis and its amazing views
We accidentally brought along pepper spray that was attached to my keychain and were treated like terrorists by the very unprofessional and rude security staff. They were downright disrespectful and irrational about the situation at hand. After wasting about an hours worth of our time, they gave us a $130 fine. I believe this is ridiculous for such a petty mistake. They let us back in and we rode the tram to the top of the arch. I was not very impressed. Although the view from the top was nice, it was not worth $16. The windows to see out of are very small and the arch was filled with so many people we could barely move. I believe this attraction is highly overrated. Also, there was trash everywhere surrounding the arch. I am very upset with this national monument and would not recommend it to anyone!
Had a wonderful time. Journey to the top is 13 dollars a person. If you are claustrophobic, the journey to the top is a 5' 6" x 6' cable car the rides up the inside the arch that seats 5 people with 8 cars in total. Once at the top you can come down on any side at any time when the tram becomes available to return to the bottom.
This is a beautiful place. I'm not one for heights at all, but this was easy breezy to go up the 630ft to the top and the view was breathtaking. Came when the rivers wer flooded and was able to get amazing photos of it. I'm from Colorado and we have nothing like this. Very breath taking. Make sure to take photos when you come. Pricing is very good and inexpensive.
I took my son to the St. Louis arch had a great time... i m originally from St. Louis but moved away so it was nice seeing my hometown ... there s a whole museum inside the arch which is really nice for the kids
I have been here years ago. They have remodeled everything. It looks great. The entrance was nicely done. You didn't feel like you were being funneled under ground.
Great museum and the ride to the top on the Tram was great too. Great view from the top. This is during the Pandemic and all safety measures were in place. Enjoy!
Loved it but not clear with the entrance a lot of walking a lot specially for parking..you better be ready for a walk
The museum was recently renovated and enlarged. Very well done and free. We didn't do the trams. Definitely worth a visit.
Great place, beautiful, and clean! The museum is amazing and keeps a lot of history of this wonderful place! Worth a visit
Wide open, clean and comfortable. An enjoyable experience
Fun experience and a lot of history. Tiny capsules to ride in, but overall neat.
The ride up and down was pretty fun the view was pretty amazing I wish I would have bought the documentary movie to watch more of the construction of the arch.
The gift shop is pretty cheap sweaters for $28-42 t shirts for like $12-30 I'm rather happy with my purchases!
The museum is very well put together and has a nice flow and the new improved touch screen info pannels were mostly working.
I absolutely love this 60's styling I mean everything is concrete and stainless steel and round reminds me of an airstream camper.
Wonderful museum. Well worth the visit. Lots of interactive things
First time visiting! We purchased our tix on-line and went up at night. City lights were amazing!! Buy your tickets ahead of time!
The gateway to the west. slot of fun inside, great views from the top. so long as heights don't bother you ,!
Very impressive structure...
Great accomplishment of man...
Had a tour it was affordable and was fun to see. The tour guide gave history of the Arch as well what occurred during U.S history during the period of the Arch was being built. Overall enjoyed the tour
An amazing engineered structure inside and out! And the museum will give many history lessons.
Unfortunately very quiet. But beautiful arch. America will win this virus. Never give up! We are strong enough!
Once view of the city from 680 feet in the air. The price isn't to bad either. It was an interesting movie on how it was built. Suprising that no one died while building the arch cause no one was wearing safety straps. Lol.
We have always wanted to visit the Arch and now we can mark off our bucket list.
I really enjoyed this. Had a great time and the staff was friendly and help my friend when he got scared to death. Lol.
Couldn't go up top because of a three hour wait for one seat.. but looks cool from the outside
Love to visit the Arch. Too bad the ride was closed due to covid, but at least the gift shop and museum was open. Hopefully my next trip back it willbe open.
Fun experience, definitely tight spaces up at the top. It gets quite crowded during the middle of the day. Excellent views though. The museum down below was a nice place to learn about the history and the cafe was a convenient place to get lunch. If you're visiting St. Louis I would recommend coming here.
The architecture is astounding. I know, this arch is featured all over tourist stuff, but seriously, go there. You will feel like a teensy little ant when you stand beside it! Its enormous! They also have a little pod you can squeeze into to ride to the top (I didn't get the chance, but I'm sure it's a thrill-seekers dream)
The surrounding city is full of architectural engineering
This structure is larger than life when standing next to it. There are tours to the top but I would recommend booking those in advance. They are running through covid, remember your mask.
Great place to see in the city. It is the highest structure and you can get inside it, take a lift to the top and enjoy the beautiful views to the city. You also have some tour, including the history of construction and a quiz. You do not have a snack bar up there, but you will never regret about that.
A fun educational monument! Highly recommend going and take in the view.
14 bucks for adults and 10 bucks for kids. The gondola is a little small and crampy. And so the top level of the arch. But worth the view. The ticket is not so expesive and the exhibition about the west journey is very interesting
Nice visit. Still under construction but enjoyed the trip.
Awesome experience.... loved it. The museum underneath was great
Absolutely loved being on the river ALONE enjoying the Arch and walking the Riverfront. Beautiful foggy night, Amazing Graffiti walls, even a $26 fine for parking ( WELL WORTH IT!!! )
We had such a fun time here!! We loved the underground museum and the experience. A must see and do if you're in the area!!
Good place to visit. An amazing peice of engineering for them to have an elevator to go up given it's shape.
The park is so beautiful. I love everything they've done. The bike and jogging trail is really nice too. If you haven't gone since the expansion you should. It's a beautiful experience
Awesome place! Is very interesting to see how it was built. Want to go there again.
I have never had a bad experience at a National Park and this is no exception. The museum was beautifully done and my kids enjoyed the junior ranger program.
The Gateway Arch is an amazing destination. They have recently improved the visitor's center and the exhibits are very nice. The $13 adult and $10 fee to ride the tram to the top is well worth it. You can stay at the top as long as you want and the views are amazing! I was very cold inside, so I would recommend a light jacket when you visit!
It's a great experience to travel in those pods up to the top of the Arch. Our previous generations were such great innovators and this is just one example of how the creativity and hopefulness to do something great came into fruition in a society without computers, mobile phones or laser rulers.
It is interesting, however the security seems to be more intrusive than necessary. Once you get passed the security, it isn't clear what options are available to guests. I noticed several people who had to exit and return to get what they needed. Perhaps more would be gained if more employees were available to assist visitors and to answer the most frequently asked questions. Those employees would probably be more aware of suspicious activities and be less intrusive than the security personnel are. Perhaps security should be more about going through basic security protocols and being vigilant about the activities of guests to enhance safety and security to make visitors feel more like guests and less like cattle.
Great experience, a true marvel. Great views above and under the arch. I haven't been the Jefferson? Park he completed upgrades, will have to return soon!
Would have been better if we could go up. But nice.
A unique experience. Not for the claustrophobic. The view from the top is the only plus. It was too crowded and chaotic to really enjoy the moment.
First time in St. Louis and had to visit the arch. I'm not big on going high up in small enclosures but it wasn't bad at all. Was pretty awesome to see and experience.
Awesome place to learn the team is fun and the view from the top is awesome good tour guides
Always a great time and learning opportunity. The view from the top is amazing. The recent visitors center redesign is fantastic.
Excellent crowd organization to deal with covid-19 restrictions. The diligence and attention to detail made this visit second to none
A must go place if you visit st. louis. you will be amazed to know its history and its making. a highly recommended tourist place
A definite visit. Just make sure you do this really early or late in the day because it is not as busy. You can buy tickets online as well. The observation deck is small and the ride upstairs is not friendly with claustrophobic folks but you get to see a stunning view.
Even though I live in St. Louis, this is still one of my favorite places to come. The park is clean, beautiful and a great stop for tourists!
Beautiful, clean & very knowledgeable and friendly staff! There is a lot of information to read. It is a museum like almost because of the vast amount of information provided.
