Beautiful design, love the layout but too many corners were cut 1st and worst thing is they didn't insulate the walls, I heard everything in the room next door. 2nd the bed was most uncomfortable. The 3rd and Last thing is petty but still I don't appreciate having to use this little half ironing board

Stayed here w my girl. It was okay. Speaker didn t work tho kind of a bummer. They should remodel the rooms tho. You can tell it s getting run down in some rooms because I can t speak for all tho.

Stayed a few months ago. Nothing worked including the remote control. Went to office multiple times the night desk girl was extremely helpful. She finally was going to put us in another room however we decided just to take the working remote from that room. At 8am after 3 phone calls 2 knocks on the door and A maid walking in it was already check out time and we had gotten disturbed multiple times and had very little sleep. We were beyond patient and at check out ony offered 25% off our "next" stay. Apparently the room had changed over even though we didnt change rooms. I expected more considering 5 hours of the stay was constant interruption.

I love this hotel. Staff is friendly and go out of their way to make me comfortable. The rooms are nice & clean. We were especially impressed with the warm greeting and professionalism. Everything was perfect and highly recommend.

It was alright. The television wouldn't change channel & they forgot to order my complementary pizza. The room set up was cool though.

Nothing but buzzing from speakers in other rooms, terrible staff, broken glass in room, staff lies to the management about what happens and they refuse to refund my money.. left after being there only a few hours.. save your money go to some place else!

The rooms are amazing for the price. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend coming here for a get away. I will be returning very soon.

I didn t even want to give them the one star. The room was OK but when we got back to the room people were complaining saying our music was too loud. Now remind you there are speakers in the room and no sound proof what so ever. People saying that they were complaining about the music, with the so call office calling and saying can we turn the music down, the lady at the front desk came banging on the door like she was the police. We did not open the door bc we did not know who it was. Second she calls and states servers people are complaining about our music so we turned it down, and turned on a small Bluetooth speaker as big as a cell phone w/o no bass. Got another call saying people were trying to sleep. Really your trying to sleep at a place like this. My guy friend that I was with went to talk to someone at the office they stated that he was harassing the lady at the desk which he was not!! The Assistant so call manager was called DANA who was very disrespectful and rude and told us was we going to stay or go but did not offer us no refund and also stated that she was busy and we can call her Monday, but was on the phone. The staff there was just rude and Not welcomed at but hey what do you expect when it s ran by unprofessional people. Also the staff was ghetto. I WILL NOT BE returning here and will fight to get my refund back. You are better off going to the Sybaris which is wayyyyyyyyy better than here and at least the rooms are sound proof. Do not waste your money or time go spend your money else where. I am beyond disappointing with this place. Needs to be shut down

This is a great place to stay. The staff is friendly and pleasant. They are very accomodating and the rooms arw lovely. I will be here again very soon.

Overall the place is a little dated compared to Aura and other comparables, but the pictures online are very accurate. I am writing this review because my husband and I stayed the weekend for our anniversary and left ill with black "stuff" in our mucus. We found out 24 hours later that we both had respiratory infections. I believe it was because the room was a smoking room and we are not smokers. There was no ventilation to accommodate the room for smoking. I have spoken to someone named Joe about this a few days ago.

It's not what it used to be! Went there for my honeymoon. It was horrible!! It was dirty!

My husband and I checked in to this place about 8pm one of the worst experiences ever. The room was not clean, tub was a mess the floor was not swept or mopped. I even found a rolled cigar in the bed luckily I check sheets before laying anywhere. Talked to the office staff they were friendly about helping to accommodate me however the owner not so much. I was told they would take $50 off the room and I can have extended stay. I have yet to receive $50 off. If you want to have an romantic night with your significant other this is not the place to be. Thank me later!

Not as nice as the Sybaris. Rooms are outdated and not very clean. A standard hotel room would have been a better bargain.

Called ahead of time was told rooms where available at $209 asked if it was better to book the room over the phone or come to the location the lady said just come many rooms available get to the location it's only two rooms at totally different price its $50 more i'm very disappointed I drove all the way out of my way to location to a lady that don't even know what i'm talking

Loved it will be back soon just wish there was a way to get the room I see on the website. Other than that perfect

Last nite (7/30/2020) was our 1st & last time at the Essence Suites. We've heard about this place for yrs and were definately hyped up. The pleather around the bed frame and above the bed was peeling. There were cigarette ashes on top of the fireplace and the room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. A spider was on the couch and a little bug was crawling in the bathroom. The room was outdated and was NOT worth the almost $300 my husband paid. The phone did not work. Grout was around the kitchen sink and the bottom of the sauna was peeling off. Certain areas of the floors were not swept. We should have gone to the Sybaris. The only reason I did not relay this to the staff was because my husband was so e/xcited about taking me I didn't want to appear like I was ungrateful for his efforts.) However, when I thanked him for a wonderful nite. He said we will not be going back!

Bday for my lady a beautiful room nice and clean and friendly vibes

1st time there other then a mix up when I got there saying my reservation was canceled got it worked it and after that it was very nice and relaxing. Great customer service friendly staff.

We loved our stay. With just a small hiccup at check-in which was taken care of right away. We were just so pleased with the cleanliness and all the great amenities our room had. Our one night stay felt like a mini vacation. We look forward to our next visit.

This is the second time my hubby and I came here for our anniversary and we love it

I am extremely disappointed in our stay. At the price point, I was expecting an immaculate room. I booked the essence suite to celebrate our anniversary. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by the smell of smoke. The "mood lighting" just covers up the dirtiness of the room. We found black pieces of what looked like hair all over the room. We were informed that they were just fibers from the bedding which wasn't black We turned on the jacuzzi tub and black dirt came out of the jets. We were informed that only happened because we turned on the jets before they were completely submerged with water. I don't think dirt should come out of the jets regardless. If we hadn't driven 2 hours, we would've canceled our reservation. Please don't waste your money. This is just a super 8 with some extra amenities.

My husband and i stayed there about a month ago for a night It was wonderful the staff was so helpful and polite the room was beautiful a long with the roses and the rose petals! My husband and I are going back for our anniversary and i am looking so forward to it! I would recommend this place to anyone for a night of romance!

For the price you get the same type of basic floor level rooms. They do basic sanitation. The robes and things included arent worth the money. The fridges leak, some rooms have broken soundbars, and only one type of light. These rooms are not worth 200+ at all. Save your money or Get a CoolRoom instead

The service here was excellent from check in to check out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and very clean. I was celebrating my birthday and I was completely wowed. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions or simply a quick get away. They go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Thank you to everyone at the essence suite. I will definitely stay there again.

I was there 1 August 2020. Room looks nothing like website photos. Not worth the $300 for the night. We will never come back. Bathroom sink was broken, DVD player didn't work at all and whirlpool tub was leaking. Just awful.

It was ok, they could do some remodeling to update the spot.

They are getting no stars. This is not a place to go if you want to actually sleep at night. The mattress was paper thin and the room was outdated. Also, we woke up to visitors. There were two types of bugs in the bed and on the floor on my wife's side. We dressed and got out of there in world record time. We took photos and showed to management. My wife asked if owner would accommodate us in any way and staff said probably not. Maintenance happened to come in while we were checking out said, oh, there's a bug problem in that room.

Very nice place to relax. They addressed my problems rite away. I enjoyed everything. TV could be bigger along with special channels. Overall nice place for couples or just relaxing.

The fireplace didn't work in our suite, but w we were given a bottle of wine for compensation.. Otherwise, the room was absolutely beautiful!

Went for a romantic night out only downfall was the size of my hot tub. I stayed in the same type of suite before and the hot tub was way bigger and so was the sauna. But we had fun.

We loved the Essence Suites! We had the Super Essence Suite and we had a blast. We will definitely be returning soon! The suite was clean and the hot tub was Everything! Very relaxing

Terrible service . I went there to spend my anniversary and the room smelt like straight weed. This place is literally a notch above a crack motel. I asked to get an upgraded room and they made me pay out of pocket. Literally the only difference was a steam shower. DO NOT COME HERE. Thank you for nothing Rosa.

Good place to get away from home & enjoy a night away...& not to mention the swing that comes with the room!!!

First off it's in a secluded location tucked away from plain sight. My room was clean the check in was SWEET got here early and they allow me to check in anyway! Fun amenities good accomodations.

I enjoyed my stay overall I just feel the room could ve been cleaner. We saw a spider but nothing else and we stayed two nights. The staff was awesome very helpful with the tech issues we were having in the room. We didn t get our free pizza but it also wasn t mentioned to us. Checking in and out was smooth. I definitely plan to return.

The customer service was great but we had to be moved rooms because the tv wasnt working in the first. The biggest issue was filling the very small tub (my boyfriend and I didnt fit together)the hot water ran out. I thought hotels were supposed to have huge hot water tanks. I wont be back.

I would never recommend this place to anyone! $250 for basically a regular style hotel room. I'm so disappointed that we drove almost 2 hrs for this. If you want real ecstasy and worth your money..Clinton, IL. Sunset Inns has fantasy rooms worth their $250 a night. This night was such a waste of time and money. I wouldn't even give it 1 STAR!

The location is near many restaurants and it is very easy to find. The property is very clean and the building is fairly well maintained. The staff is very helpful and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. My one complaint was the mattress. It was very firm and hurt my back.

Me and boyfriend visit here and it was amazing !! We had one problem and they handled it with so much class and professionalism we will definitely be back !!! Good Job essense suites!!!

Room was nice, turned on jets for whirlpool black stuff started to come out of them, even after draining the tub and trying again so we couldn t use the tub, place had ants and other bugs crawling around. The floor of the shower was dirty so didn t use that. Sound system didn t work properly so couldn t use that either. The only thing nice was the room unfortunately. Also when I talked to the assistant manager and told her that when I did call the front desk to complain about the whirlpool jets that night no one answered she made it seem like I was lying because they always have 2 people at the desk and they are open 24 hours . Kind of rude. I didn t make a fuss about them not answering that night because it was late and I said I would just let them know once I checked out since I was checking out in the morning.

Great get-away place. Cozy comfortable and quite relaxing with incredible accommodations.

It's a sex Shack plain and simple the rooms looked fairly clean but just the idea of a thousand other people using it for that purpose kind of turns you off

I just left its not a bad place at all , I mean you pay for what you get. The fire place did go out but the staff was really nice and she offer me to stay longer, I wouldn't trust the swing tho lol,the room is small . I loved the steam room my girl love the tub. .. The stereo system was the best . .. If I could change anything it would be the swing, it needs more care. Thank you

Nice place, but still fix some problems to the Wi-Fi plus lik on the hot bath. If they fix those problems, i give then 5 stars.

Wife and I enjoyed our overnight getaway. Petals and Pizza was right on time. Room layout was perfect. Steam Room and whirlpool were very relaxing. Larger tv would be a nice upgrade along with new paint and caulk work. USB plugs would be nice as well. House keeping need some additional work as well. We look forward to our next stay at Essence.

the customers shouldn't be able to listen to music it was these 2 woman and they were playing music really loud and smoking weed out side and a couple of there friends came and it was like they were having a party. me and my boyfriend couldn't enjoy our night I will never come back here. I didn't complain because I didn't want no problems with the people
