I left behind a bag with purchases the night of Wednesday, Dec. 26 at the Main St. CTA stop. In the dark, at about 6:30 p.m., I simply picked up 2 big bags with purchases to get on the train for downtown Chicago and I did not look back to see if I had left anything behind.
The next day, I returned to Evanston hoping someone had turned in the bag. I picked it up on Thursday morning, much to my glad and relieved surprise from the kind CTA Train Booth attendant. My faith in humankind was validated. This had been my first shopping experience in Evanston. It had been such a wonderful day of good surprises. The bag had a yard of forest green wool fabric from Vogue Fabrics and several magazines from the corner Magazine Store. I will return to Evanston to continue discovering its trove of great stores. I am thankful to the honest caring person that turned in my bag. This kind human being rocks! And it happened in Evanston, IL!
