if you want to spend time in a dirty & ugly place come to Albany. it won't disappoint you. they Empire State Plaza we built right in the middle of the community kill what charm was left. so the the capitol of the great state of TAXES is just another trash bin. they are taking a beautiful state and killing its beauty and history.

Fantastic venue with great sound (sometimes the bands turn it up too loud, due to their experince in poorer rooms). Seats are comfortable. Bathrooms are limited as is beverage/beer service. You can park in the parking garage underneath for $5-10 and never have to walk outside - this is great in the winter as you can leave the bulky coat in the car. Not sure, but I do believe the bar is cash only. Note that there is not always a bar.

Beautiful center from the outside. With its unique shape it really stands out with the classic architecture accross the street with the capital. The whole open mall is wonderful to view and enjoy the reflection pond with the Egg as a backdrop as well as the buildings on the other side. It is really worth the walk from the capital even if you cant get inside. So many great reviews makes me wish that I could have gotten a tour or seen a performance there.

We went to see Rickie Lee Jones in one of the smaller theaters, seating about 500.. There were approximately 350 people there. The venue was intimate, clean and the staff were friendly and professional. We had a great time!

Possibly the best place to see a live performance in the area. The Swyer (450 seat range) doesn't have a single bad seat in the house. The Hart is about double the size at around 900+ seats. Both great acoustics!

Saw Mike Gordon here. The sound was INCREDIBLE. General Admission is not a good idea here though. Oh yeah, the concert was sold out when I went to buy tickets, but the ticket booth attendant worked some magic and somehow found me a couple tickets. It took a couple of hours but he pulled through. He went even as far as taking my phone number and contacting me back after getting with his manager. Totally awesome. Wanted to throw him some extra dollars for his efforts and he totally declined the tip. Customer service at its finest.

I saw a great group, Darlingside with a youth group orchestra. Can't recommend them highly enough. I found the Egg's sound bright for my taste. Individual voices got lost in the mix. I feel they should analyze the room and make sound corrections. I was in the small theater.

I went to my first show at the Egg on November 4, 2019 to see Boz Scaggs. The venue is beautiful, spacious seating with plenty of legroom and excellent acoustics. Definitely recommend coming here for a show.

My family enjoyed the Kid's Expo sponsored by Hannaford. Grandson had a blast, wife and daughter enjoyed the activities and gathered info from the many exhibitors. We posed with the Star Wars trooper and saw R2D2 roaming around!

I love coming to the Egg. It's one of those places you have to check out when you visit Albany. It is really a must do when you are in the city. You can walk around enjoy your surrounding and take it all in and relax.

I went to a comedy show held at the egg for 10pm showing. Free parking at the museum, then you can walk in at the entrance to the plaza near there. You can pick up tickets at the ticket booth there. The line to get in can get long, and everyone is ushered upstairs by elevator which can take a while. There's a candy/drink bar upstairs, but there's not really food allowed inside of the venue. Seating is pretty in any spot. Inside is pretty clean and beautiful with a decent amount of room. No pictures are allowed inside. I would definitely go again.

The Egg is the vantage point of Albany. The terrace offers great views of all the prominent places to see in Albany.

I visited the place on a day when there were no shows and reconstruction was going on in the lower level. The underground concourses leading to the Egg are good and something that I haven't seen in any other American city.

(PS - An edit/addition will be in place once I see plays or concerts here!)
