This school is overall disappointing ,Ive never came across more disrespectful boys ever knowing that this school is catholic and the curriculum and disaplyn is suppose to be more high standard then public school is just unbelievable.Im a victim of harassment from these gentlemen .These young men need to be immediately STOPPED!!!!!!!!

I am a current student of the Mount and its an amazing school. You will certainly make close friends here. Teachers really do care about how well you do in school and if you need any help, they'll make the time for you. The staff also very nice. This school is great to make kids into mature young men and future leaders.
It was a great school back in the day. I graduated in 1979. Sadly it has become a shell of its former self, as is the Bronx in general. The poster that stated it's better than Iona Prep, has no clue!
Graduated from the Mount in 1974....Great education and prepared us not only for school but life.

Mount Saint Michael Academy for Boys is a great and outstanding institution. Mount gave my son an opportunity to become an outstanding academic scholar. As an incoming freshman, he was a C/D student. As a sophomore, he became a second honor academic scholar. His confidence, character, academic, and behavioral performance excel in and outside the classroom.
Most students can complain as much as they want about the school, but there is one thing that each student at Mount can say about the institution. The faculty and staff cares about their students and community. They teach structure, guidance, and excellence to enhance the character of boys to young men. It is not easy for young boys in the Bronx, New York, but for an institution, such as Mount Saint Michael Academy for Boys, to persevere from its inception in 1926 to the present day to create young men during challenging times, you will know your son, nephew, cousin, friend, or neighbor is receiving one of the best education to easily compete and succeed in life.
Mount has high standards and hold each student, faculty, and staff to them. If a student is unbecoming or not following these standards, the school will either suspend, expel, or will not allow the student to continue his education at the school. This displays accountability and integrity. So please read the School's policy and rules thoroughly. It does not matter the grade the student is enroll at that time.
Mount Saint Michael Academy for Boys teach it students that life is full of challenges and obstacles, and it is not easy to obtain success. However, with the interaction of faculty, staff, students, and school activities, there is a roadmap to succeed and obtain goals. Their values-Responsibility, Integrity, Perseverance, Professionalism, and Accountability- is the essential of a Mountaineer.
Although I graduated from Saint Raymond's HS for Boys in '91, I am happy that my son is attending Mount, and will be graduating from the institution in 2019. Young men do not complain. Young men have fortitude to deal with situations to be successful. Mount Saint Michael Academy for Boys is not for every young boy, but all young men are made for Mount Saint Michael Academy for Boys! The choice is yours.
