Excellent venue that doesn't seem to have a bad seat in the house. The process to get up to the theater from main concourse is a little bit of a burden and time consuming especially after waiting to get into visitor parking lot. Would park on Street and walk into when but hard to manage with 2 little ones and temps in the teens. The venue is worth the wait in line and provides a great overall experience, just factor in extra time for parking and to get into theater.

Great place, I've been bringing my family and friends here for years, from ballet, to mermaid theater, to the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. Always a great show. Wish there was a bit of signage on which side was left vs right side of Hart theater. But always a great experience.

Went for my DIL's graduation. Impressive building! If you park in ANY of the nearby structures, take pictures, write down your structure name, streets it's on...do whatever it takes locate your vehicle after!

I love seeing a show at the egg. There's not a bad seat in the house. When it's a musical band Acoustics is excellent. Parking is reasonably priced. Take the elevator and you are there. Always a great experience

Been going here many years and this place has amazing sound and great seating no matter where you are . I was there to hear a band called the Suffers. I think the sound was just amazing but wish there was a little more promotion of the band. Small venues are great like this because you can interact more with the artist. Will be going here again.

Great small venue. Loved the projector screen for the far side. We had L orchestra seats, last seats in the row...part of the stage is blocked off by the speakers, but the screens take care of that! Just have. I had a hard time not dancing... that's the only real downside to this venue in my humble opinion.

Great quirky venue as you're quite literally in a giant cement egg. I've seen two shows there now and each time finding parking was a breeze ($5 for events), the staff are friendly and helpful and there isn't a bad seat for either stage (the big stage or smaller stage). Do be mindful of what elevator you take though as getting back to your car can be a little confusing.

Beautiful place! A smaller more intimate setting. We saw the Chris D'Elia comedy show (as you can see from the picture, we got to meet him!!!!!) and it was great! We sat in the "pit" about 5 rows back from the stage and it was amazing seats! However it seemed like all the seats would be ol considering it is a smaller venue. The only negative part is how they get you to the correct floor of the Egg, we had to wait in this huge line to be put on an elevator packed with way too many people to get to the correct floor. Rumor had it there was an escalator somewhere that you could use, If so definitely use that. Also the very small Bar there only serves a small selection of beer and wine, as well as a few candy treats. The bar is cash only so use an ATM..... they dont check anything so bring in your own alcohol.... nips!!!

I purchased tickets for go see Burt Kreischer for 1/23, it was icey out that night, multiple winter weather advisories, and completely unsafe to drive, they refused to switch my tickets to the next day or issue me a refund. I will never let these people take my money again, 80$ down the drain.

The unique architecture is appealing though it does lead to a little confusion. I've had many friendly and enjoyable experiences here for concerts, comedy, and children's programming. Parking can be difficult and /or expensive, but that's downtown Albany. Very friendly staff, from ushers to elevator operators and at the box office.

My own experience at this place was quite good. We were there for Adrian Belew's performance. In terms of being a performance center, it's way above average - acoustic, spaciousness and lights are better than expected.

Love concerts at The Egg. Great acoustics in a surprisingly intimate hall (the wood makes it warm and cozy, physical & audio) I have never had a bad seat here no matter how far back. Very nicely designed performance space.
