Rooms are small, but they're proud of them Very expensive for what you get. Parking is 22 dollars for valet, 17 dollars if you park your own car. Not worth it unless you want feel special by paying too much.

The Safari room and the historic element are wonderful. The pool is pathetic, as is the hot tub and the hoity toity feeling in the gift area creeps me out. I'd say this place is a little inconsistent.
However, I have enjoyed a wonderful catered lunch in one of the large meeting rooms/ballrooms during a conference, and I've enjoyed volunteering for their gingerbread house making day. Considering it's so fancy of a place, I thought it odd that we used graham crackers instead of real gingerbread, but to each his own.
Amazing experience every little detail was taken care of. Was there for a fundraiser and couldn't have been happier with the event venue and performance of Staff. Everyone was extremely professional courteous and helpful. The food was beyond exceptional. Drinks are always filled, coffee and OJ LOL, but truly a historic venue. I highly recommend for any kind of event checking out the Davenport
This is the most beautiful building West of the Mississippi River in the US. Even if you don't stay here. Stop in and have a meal or a drink a walk around in wonder & awe.
Recently stayed for a family members wedding. We came up from Arizona excited to escape the heat and enjoy a happy life changing moment. Unfortunately, upon arrival they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the high volume they encountered on October 13. After we checked in we went to our very small room. We decided an upgrade would be worth it, considering we would be hosting a few people before the wedding. We asked the receptionist to have our luggage moved to our new room while we enjoyed the cooler weather and had a bite to eat. We were gone for a few hours, plenty of time to have moved the luggage to our new room we paid extra for. On arrival we noticed no luggage and being on a fixed schedule due to pre-wedding events we were not happy. After, I am sure an hour has passed we finally receive our luggage. I think of this hotel to be a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, not their service thus far. That's not the half of it. We asked for extra hangers took an hour if not longer. I also needed dry cleaning for my dress. I read the top stating if items were received at 7AM they wouldn't be ready until 5PM, knowing I needed to be at the wedding around that time I gave my dress to the man who delivered the late hangers hoping it would be ready the next day before 4PM. Well what another disappointment, the next day rolls around and I don't think to check on my dress because why would I need to, bad idea on my part called at 2PM, day of wedding and was told they didn't know what needed to be done when clearly marked on the ticket it said dry cleaning. I told them to just steam the wrinkles out. While I was helping my boyfriend get ready I realize my dress should have been done by now, I had to call again at 3PM. It was delivered 30 minutes before I needed to leave full of wrinkles, horrible! Worst "luxury" hotel experience. I didn't mention the sink stopper was broken and wouldn't open, no housekeeping services (employee stated he was off and couldn't come back) and to top it all off after spending $600 for only 3 nights with horrendous service, the receptionists told my boyfriend after we discussed the issues we experienced that "those things happen sometimes" what?! are you joking with me.. if that's acceptable at this hotel I will never spend a dime there again. Sincerely an upset former customer!
What an incredible slice of Americana. Steeped in history, amazing architecture, the decor is incredible. Feel comfortable to walk in and wander and check everything out. The Grand Ballroom is not to miss. The food there is good. A wonderful cozy setting for a romantic get.
This hotel was amazing. The staff was second to none, very attentive. The rooms where really well appointed and clean. The hotel was beautifully restored and very cool to explore.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of downtown Spokane. The holiday trees were spectacular as well however with that attraction the hotel was extremely busy! So busy there was no place to park and walking around the second floor was just a mass of slow moving people all looking at the trees. Aside from the holiday season mass of people converging on this hotel, the room were spacious and the large shower was a great touch!
Went to Brunch for the first time on a visit with family. It was absolutely beautiful inside. The service was impeccable. Seating was very comfortable and selections for dining was exceptional.
Great Server (Ashley, April 2014). Wonderful food. And the most potent Long Island Iced Tea I've had at ANY place outside my home. Thank goodness my commute was to the elevator. 5 Stars!
This place is over a century old, but it is renovated, well thought out and decorated beautifully. The staff are all helpful and together they coalesce into a warm and inviting place to stay. Whether you're in town for work or pleasure you won't go wrong staying here. The rates are reasonable for the quality of hotel we're dealing with here. I strongly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.
I very much would have liked to stay at this hotel. However, after my wife called to make a reservation, the woman on the phone was quite rude when we asked about a different rate that we were given earlier that day. I will take my business elsewhere.
Great stay in a beautiful historic hotel with friendly, hospitable staff. The rooms are huge and we loved the large walk in shower, king sized bed, mezzanine setting on the 4th floor, excellent 9th floor room views, and Peacock room cocktails. I would fly to Spokane to stay there.
The Davenport is simply the best hotel in Spokane. Right in the middle of the city, the location is ideal and the rooms, food and service are second to none! It's the best spot for a romantic night away and the most elegant brunch on Sunday mornings.
The historic Davenport Hotel is truly an amazing experience. The service is impeccable, and the amenities are abundant. The ambience in the hotel whisks you away from business and work. It is worth it to spend some time looking at the photographs and the amazing architecture and Decor throughout the hotel during your stay. Be sure to try the soft peanut brittle... And make sure you take some home because you will be hooked!
Absolutely gorgeous historic building, every detail is insane. Every bit of moulding, picture frames, everything, it feels like you stepped back in time to a grander era. Service was great, very friendly! Beds felt way too stiff and firm at first but ended up being very comfortable, pillows were awesome. Hotel restaurants were great too, nothing complimentary though. Amazing desserts available till midnight, eat them in oversized chairs in the ballroomesque lobby by candlelight!
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Spokane! Make sure you know which one you are staying at as it is across the street from the other Davenport. The rooms are quite spacious and the bathrooms are huuuuuge.
Spokane's historic downtown hotel is worth a visit. We passed through on New Year's Eve. The hotel is beautifully decorated for the Holidays and a great photo spot.
This place was beautiful. A friend and I had actually gone for the Sunday brunch with champagne. Boy was it delicious! They not only had breakfast items but lunch specialties as well. All of which was very tasty. Unlimited buffet for $49 per person which isn't too shabby. I definitely recommend the brunch! As for the hotel itself; well it was absolutely gorgeous inside. My friend stated that it's definitely one of the nicer hotels regarding its antiquity.
Very nice hotel with excellent amenities. Had room service breakfast which was on time and very good. Inexpensive considering the quality and service level. Really the only down side was the basement pool. However, since the pool is mediocre it seems not many use it. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves for the whole hour we were there.
Absolutely rate this local hotel in Spokane. Nice rooms but the best feature was the staff. Diane on reception is hands down the best receptionist I ve met. Made us feel completely relaxed after a very long journey.
Service is always welcoming and personal. I am a member of a group that meets once a month in the Peacock Room. The ambiance and the staff keep us coming back.
We went to see the decorated trees and the Cresent window displays. Unfortunately the tree auction was over. We walked thru the upper balconies and viewed the other displays. The Cresent window displays were wonderful. We also went inside to view the large Santa and the gingerbread house displays. It wasnt very well marked where the displays were located so we ended up visiting all 3 Davenport Hotels. While there we also visited the gift shops. I was disappointed that the staff failed to greet us in the shops and in the hotels. Customer service was not there and this was at all 3 hotels.
Great historic hotel with updated amenities. Hint all the restaurants have the same menu. Choose the location that you love best. I'm partial to the lounge.
Loved this place! Rooms are large, with period style furniture. Bath is large marble, great shower and large soak tub. Bed was comfortable great nights sleep. Staff were professional and friendly.
