I really hate to write this review because I've had nothing but positive things to say about the Davenport Tower in the past, but over the last weekend, we had several experiences that really tainted our views on the current state of customer service at this hotel. The Tower has been our go-to for special occasions and, as a military family, we have always been able to enjoy the generous military rate for the rooms, both on official duty and off. This past weekend, staying on official military orders, we were upcharged for having two people in the room versus the flat government rate that is offered on the site. When I inquired to management about this, they offered no recourse and just said that was policy. This is the first time we have ever been upcharged in the 19 years we have lived in Spokane. We also had to call the front desk twice overnight (once at midnight, once at 1 AM) due to rowdy neighbors who were fighting and throwing things inside the adjacent room- when we brought this up to the front desk, we were brushed off with an insincere apology. Finally, the Davenport charges a $10/day fee for amenities, such as use of their shuttle. Throughout the course of several nights, we were only ever able to book this shuttle once- and were never given any alternate arrangements. The whole experience was thoroughly disappointing and not what we expected from our past experiences with the Davenport and their customer service.

Beautiful hotel with safari theme throughout. For the animal lovers, the only taxidermy I saw was a tiger that died of natural causes at a zoo. The rooms are spacious with walk in shower and L'Occitane amenities. My only problem was the super-soft mattress, I prefer firm. Those who need silence might be bothered by the trains that run past in the night, but it was muted enough for me to sleep OK on the 12th floor. This is a Marriott hotel and the Marriott app on my phone says refrigerators are available in all the rooms, but that is incorrect. They are only in the suites. Parking is a little awkward. You have to choose valet parking for $22/night or self-park across the street for $17/night. We had lots of stuff in our car, so we chose valet because it seemed more secure. We also had to use the bell staff to haul our numerous bags since they don't make luggage carts available to guests.

Clean, beautiful rooms with amazingly comfortable beds. Staff was helpful, respectful, and made quick work of any request. My wife and I use the Davenport as our go-to overnight getaway and always leave refreshed.

We staid in for two nights at the Davenport Tower during phase 2 of reopening during the Covid-19 pandemic. The hotel wasn't fully operational but they were doing their best following the CDC guide lines. The hotel itself is very very specious. The rooms are big, clean and with comfortable beds. The mirrors are a bit too much, but at least it give you opportunity not to forget to comb you hair before going out :)
There was no housekeeping wile we staid but they were nice to bring us fresh towels and to pick up our carry our food boxes. The staff was very confused with the breakfast coupon situation, the problem was resolved at the end. It is time were we all have to be a bit more patient.
The hotel is in great location, right at the riverfront park corner. The view was spectacular in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are great, however my customer service wasn t great. I booked a room and paid in advance for it, then found out that I get a discount through my work so called back in. Customer service said sorry can t help you, but if you would have called us within 24hrs we could have adjusted rate. Usually all the Davenport hotels are wonderful and have top notch customer service, this time no. I asked for free parking, dinner credit; nope!! Sad too because we only stay at their hotel..

Beautiful place. Excellent service. Historic building, beautifully maintained. Modernized where it counts.
Note that there are 4 buildings. The old/original hotel, the Tower, and two others. We stayed at the Tower. The double queen room was beautiful.

A wonderful experience for the weary traveler. I stayed at the Davenport Tower on business and was nothing but impressed at the staff, the hotel itself , and all of the fine detail I experienced while there. The Bar has the best happy hour in Spokane and the food is exceptional as well. Looking forward to my next stay.

Another great hotel in downtown Spokane. It has a bit more of a classy vibe than the modern Davenport Grand. Both are great spots with great locations and central to most things downtown. I had a better rate here than the Grand and they seem comparable.

We got The Honeymoon Suite for our 22nd wedding anniversary. The room was absolutely beautiful. There was a hot tub in the middle of the room and shower for two. There was a kitchenette with small refrigerator, microwave and Kurig machine. The bed was possibly the softest bed I've ever slept in. There is also a big screen TV, fireplace and a couple of lounge chairs.

Delightfully surprised by how good our room smelled. Great, clean, room LOVED the shower.

The only thing I would say they can improve on is giving better directions on where to go i.e. elevator location (we had to leave to park) when we found elevator we weren't told we have to use our key cards, so we had to dig around to find our cards again while other passengers waited on us (sorry!) We had to try multiple combinations until the elevator moved... which was annoying, but finally got it to move.

Lastly, the valet guys were friendly, however the ladies inside the valet area were not as friendly as they didn't even acknowledge us or at least say "hello" or "welcome" or "elevators are to the right..." I was looking forward to a high-end experience and that moment fell flat. All I'm saying is it's an opportunity to improve the customer experience. :)

Once settled in we decided to order room service and the lady on the other line was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. She quickly turned around any shortcomings we experienced earlier that day! Overall great stay and would consider The Davenport Towers again.

This is another very nice Marriott property. The rooms are more modern than the historic Davenport across the street, so they are larger & in my opinion, much nicer. The lobby, halls, open areas, etc are clean and generally nice, but nothing special . . . so get your room in the tower & hang out across the street.

Very nice hotel! Beautiful design and decoration, wonderful staff, and very clean. This hotel is very well maintained and so unique! We stayed at the safari themed hotel (our first experience with this line) and I have to say I'm really looking forward to the English Garden themed hotel next time! I highly recommend this hotel if you need to get away, relax or just unwind. Worth every penny.

WOW, great hotel. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Be careful, the beds are for sale and you might find yourself ordering one after you leave. Their Happy Hour seems to be the goto place even for some locals. I would highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Spokane.

The hotel was fine. BUT, I was ripped off by Priceline on behalf of the hotel, so, the hotel conspires with Priceline to cheat its customers. Davenport will help booking agencies get more money out of you. I had that happen with Davenport and Priceline. Priceline got an extra $34 from me with Davenport's help. Do not trust either what they say.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful rooms! Most comfortable bed. Before we even arrived in town we had a notification that my room was ready to be checked in. It was fast. Front desk agent was a gentleman. I can not remember his name but he couldn t have been any nicer! Not to mention the beautiful lobby. And it was in perfect walking distance of everything!!!
