This place is gorgeous, it sounds great and our seats despite being one of the cheaper options were in a great spot and very comfy. Cannot recommend enough especially if you can take advantage of their student pricing. Concessions are slightly pricy but it's to be expected.

A beautiful place for concerts. The inside architecture is really beautiful and designed to optimize for the best sound quality. I highly recommend coming here for a classical concert...the sound is just amazing.

Went for the early morning rehearsal of four pieces of new music. Some of them were being performed for the first time. The members of the TSO are very experienced and skillful. The conductor was unbelievably knowledgeable and commanded the entire orchestra effortlessly. He's very kind, encouraging but firm with his visions.
I was so happy to witness the magic happened in front of my eyes and seeing the four new pieces of music from four young artful Canadian composers being performed from fine wine to champion. Would definately be back for more.......

Having the privilege to watch a show there is incredible. The sound is amazing, the set up is pretty special and they get a great line up of performers. Reasonable concessions and an intimate seating setup. Well connected to transit. If your favourite artist is playing at Roy Thompson Hall find a way to see them.

Excellent seating, clean area, friendly staff. Security asked us to empty our bottles of water but the stations to refill water pressure so light took 5-10 mins per person...and the water was luke warm at best.. disappointed!

The same unique Lee Chen flavor for past 5 years! I have to say the chef really done a job to maintain the same quality for such a long time, that I hardly can see in many Chinese restaurant! Always enjoy the beef short rib stew with home style cooking! Will do my team building dinner here in Chinese New Year.

The orchestra played the symphonies to all the original trilogy Star Wars films here.

That is worth 5 stars!

I tried the new intermission drink pre order service. Ordered before the show, and my second drink was ready for me right at the front, no waiting in line!

Hope to one day see them play to a showing of Indiana Jones or Looney Tunes!

The mst beuatiful and magnficant classical music experience in my life although I only have 3 experience. Only thing is there can work to engage to different communties in Toronto. They are one of jewels of Canadian culture and I am waiting to see them even better.

The lay-out of this Concert Hall is wonderful. Circular, cozy and just right, with doors leading into balconies and mezzanines in a way that disperses crowds efficiently and gets everyone to their seats in a happy fashion. The staff are friendly and helpful. A treat attending a concert at Roy Thomson Hall.

As a venue this place has its pros and cons. There is lots of lobby space so waiting before a show does not feel cramped. However, bathrooms are awkwardly located (going up several flights of stairs then down several flights while going through many doors!) and some parts are not easily accessible (stair access only). The actual theatre is great. Chairs are okay and not cramped for leg space for a tall person. Reportedly the underground parking is terrible to exit, as people tend to leave shows early to get a head start; however I tend to take transit (walkable distance from Union Station) or park offsite.

Visited the Roy Thompson Hall yesterday to experience the Handel's Messiah performance, and it honestly wasn t my cup of tea. My music taste aside, the singers, choir, conductor and musicians were all extremely talented and managed to capture the attention of the entire room throughout the duration of the event.
The concert hall as a whole is engineered and constructed magnificently meeting both aesthetic and auditory perfection. Voices and Instrumental sounds were projected throughout the room in a way that I haven t experienced before.

As a conclusion, I do suggest that if you have never experienced this venue before, it is a must-visit at least once in your lifetime, especially if you are a resident of the GTA.

Underground parking right across the RTH is around 10-20 dollars from 6pm to 6am. Saturdays specifically it is $15 for an entire day.

One of the most amazing experiences this to see the Philharmonic orchestra perform with a movie playing behind it. better than any movie theater this will blow your mind away and give you a true experience of how the sound of a movie should be. My wife and I love these series regardless of the movies

Great venue! Beautifully decorated for the holidays and the venue itself has a beautifully designed architecture. The acoustics are also wonderful and the atmosphere was just great when watching a performance by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. It is recommended that seats further back are chosen if you d like a better view of the orchestra. We were seated in the 5th or 6th row and we were only able to see the musicians on the edges and were not able to see the band instruments or percussion.
