Today was my first time in the theatre, previously I had only been by for wine tastings. I took my dad for the symphony, we sat on the balcony. The seats were nice because you could still see the whole stage. The sound was good, a bit hard to hear the pianist over the rest of the orchestra during the louder parts. One thing that was challenging was the washroom trip during intermission. Overall, I liked the venue and would return.

Long wait. Very knowledgeable staff about everything however.

Beautiful hall, nice staff, good concerts. Been here over a dozen times and the venue is well managed every time. Only issue I have is the washrooms - it seems like there should be more of them as lines are way too long during intermissions.

Awesome concert hall with no bad seats in the house! However, the washroom facilities are extremely lacking on the upper levels. Only 1 men's washroom serving the upper balcony and mezzanine levels. It took all of intermission (about 20 mins) just to make it into the washroom, and then there were still 40+ poor guys in like behind me!

Very cool architecture although the all grey interior reminded me of cement in the bay area. Of course, beautiful stage and acoustics. Was very honoured to be there for my friend's call to the bar ceremony. Would love to see the TSO one day.

I have only ever been to Roy Thomson Hall to see the TSO. It is a very good venue for classical music. The acoustics are very good. There are no bad seats. A person who is afraid of heights may find the steps in the seats in the balconies scary. As expected the refreshments are not inexpensive but they are higher quality choices. All in all a great place to see a concert.

The hall failed to meet expectations. The seats were ragged and dirty. Also, the acoustics were terrible. Lastly, we got attitude from several staff. They were rude, uncaring, and nasty; they made concert-goers wait in the cold, started an event late, refused to give physical tickets, and kicked everybody out too early. This place bring shame upon artists and audiences. Absolutely horrible.

Handel's Messiah Performance this year is amazing. It is a beautiful start for Christmas. The Mendelssohn Choir as usual rose to the occasion. I do not remember the exact names of the soloists, but the Soprano was angelic. The Altogether was deep an commanding, the Bass powerful.
Thanks Thompson Hall.

Not a bad seat in the entire house. Excellent sound system, every note clearly heard even from the back seats. Beautiful building inside, lots of natural light coming through the ceiling. Comfortable seats and helpful staff members. What else can you ask for?

Went here for the program "The Planets" by Gustav Holst. I was on the leftside balcony, third floor.

The acoustics of the room are very good, the sound was still balanced and undistorted despite my position. The only problem I had was with the nonexistant leg room and armrest room between persons.

Overall, it was definitely worth it. I plan to come again in the future.

Great place to see the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and other world class performers. Every seat has a great view although I prefer to sit further in the back of the theater so I can view everyone on stage. Nice staff.

Beautiful, elegant. Very easy to find your seats. Acoustics is not world-class (leave that to Bayreuth) but very very solid. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is very good. It's nice to come here with a monocle, since no one will laugh at you here.

The venue is acoustically good. It's got near 360 seating which gives a lot of viewing angles of the musicians. The seats are comfortable, not too tightly positioned.

It was built in a very modern style at the time, so I suppose it's showing its age that way. This is not to say that it isn't well-maintained. It's quite clean and bright.

Lastly, I found the myriad doors, ramps and stairways somewhat confusing. But it made my trip to the restroom an adventure.

An amazing venue in the heart of the Entertainment District! The home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra that never disappoints! I miss the music store and the opportunities to work as a volunteer for Soundcheck. Strongly recommend the concert subscription which is great value for the money.

You cannot beat the sound here! We heard the Toronto Symphony playing John Williams music which was fantastic! The only negative to this experience, is they rushed us out of the facility after the performance. We were meeting my son in Toronto for this, and there was no time to chitchat afterwards.
