Nice cozy bar with great music. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting for 5:00 in the afternoon. I could understand that level of gross after a weekend night but for a Monday afternoon it was a little crazy.

Classic blues joint. Good prices on drinks and nice staff. The table service is a bonus. Somewhat limited seating if you go late night, but a good afternoon drop in for tunes and a cool off from the sun.

Not usually my scene, but I am glad I stopped by while I was in town. I really enjoyed my evening with Nikki Brown. She had a wonderful voice and had a talented supporting cast. Low key atmosphere, somewhat similar to what I anticipated being a New Yorker. I thought the $15 cover was high. I usually pay $10 in NY. Aside from that, it was a fun evening and I also love that I didn't have to pay for parking.

Never really know what you'll find ... unless there's a band you're following or have heard of and they're playing one night but, half and maybe even more than, is going to The Continental Club and you have no idea about the performers any particular night ... that's the magic of this historical, Austin landmark ... you'll find an amazing band playing and if it hadn't been for that night, your life would still be the same! Can you even imagine it ... well try to ... and head to The Continental Club ... they have the bead on new talent, pure talent and a good grip on known talents ... stop by and hear for yourself!

Super venue for live music in the middle of Austin s popular live music scene. Small and intimate, you will have a true local
Live music experience at one of Austin s most popular spots. You are likely to see a memorable show and have a blast at The Continental Club and afterwards, stop by Homeslice for an authentic slice of New York pizza!

One of the remaining old Austin gems. SoCo is turning into a Dallas strip right before our eyes but Continental Club just keeps on truckin. Great music venue, super divey, and very good mix of clientele. Parking can be a painting when SoCo is crazy but you'll find somewhere eventually. Just be prepared to walk a little.

Come for the experience. Tickets at the door are $10 a pop. The bouncer wasn t the friendliest when we asked if food was being served inside (since our show was a 8pm gig) and he said no to which we asked can we bring food? if you want, but we don t like it (he later elaborates that it ll be fine if we clean up after ourselves). Came on a Saturday night and it wasn t full. Saw Soulman Sam for $10. The club was OK. Smells of a place with not much ventilation and average acoustics.

The Continental Club is an Austin destination for great music of every genre. The downstairs can fit larger acts and more people, but my favorite is the upstairs and I'll get into that below. They don't have a crazy drink menu which is great as the drinks remain well priced for such a classic Austin joint.

Best show: Tameca Jones every Thursday night and it's totally worth a late work night. Tameca play in the tiny romantic Continental Club gallery (upstairs) and she's perfect for the room. Ms. Jones should be coined Austin's Beyonce with her amazing voice and crazy energy that she brings the room. I highly recommend this for a date night.

Pretty cool, intimate spot for live music. Not exactly my cup of tea but I can see the appeal. It is an intimate space, so it'll be loud and crowded. But any of the bands I've heard there were great. They also charge cover.
