What an absolutely amazing distillery. The story behind the husband and wife adventure and the product of their hard work shows in the quality of their spirits. I was visiting from North Carolina and their bourbon was smooth. Cannot wait till they bring their product to ENC.

Probably my most favorite of places tied for top 2 and we stumbled upon this thanks to a street/block party. I think I enjoyed this whiskey/bourbon more than any other place on the 1/2 trail we did. The drinks and rooftop bar are legit and I would come back here in a heartbeat and choose this place over the rest in town.

The Rabbit Hole Distillery is beautiful, modern and has a great story that fits this young company. We took a tour and Jarvis was our guide and she was awesome! She was able to tell the story, deliver the science and walk us through what bourbon is from grain to glass. Her passion for what she does at Rabbit Hole shines through and she's able to keep your attention to actually learn the science behind it all. I found that I like Rye more than bourbon but the tour is worth it even if you're not a bourbon drinker. I will definitely be back.

This was an odd experience. We walked in, a gentleman chitchatted with us for 5 to 10 minutes, and then we just sat there in silence until we asked so can we do a tasting? He responded no we can t we only are doing tours. This place gets kind of weird when we do tours. No space for tastings. We walked out.Definitely not a way to sell your product.

This is one of my favorite Urban Distilleries. I have been on this twice and have referred friends and family. The staff does a great job in explaining everything. The aesthetics and architecture are have a nice feel and adds a different perspective to the classic "Country" distilleries. My only complaint is the cost. It is a little pricey, but they do offer generous samples. I would also recommend hanging around and getting a cocktail. The view and ambiance is nice touch. We had a group of 4 and 2 of them dont drink. It would be nice if they had a non drinking tour price. I didnt complain seeing as I benefited from the extra samples. Thank You!

There's so much to say I'm struggling with where to start! Rabbit Hole is and will continue being a serious spirit manufacturer to reckon with. This Louisville site is tastefully designed w/ form, fit & function in mind. From the More

Bought the virtual tasting package for the quarantine. This was a wonderful and super fun at home experience with a couple of close friends. Adam did a super job walking us through their 4 bourbon/Rye offerings. The whisky is wonderful and we even had a special mystery guest join us for a drink. Highly recommend this experience. Thanks to Josh, Adam, and our surprise guest for a wonderful experience.

Learned awesome facts about Bourbon and how they distill it. You really get to see everything up close, which makes you want to work there for sure LoL. Has a great tasting portion at the end of the tour and and a wonderful gift shop where I learned even more information. Definitely a must go if you're looking for nice, relaxing fun.

This place is incredible. You will thoroughly enjoy yourself if you are a fan of distilleries. The space is gorgeous, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is truly a gem of Louisville. You owe it to yourself to check out this amazing space. The views of the skyline are unrivaled. This should be a top destination for any tourist visiting Derby City.

Absolute BEST Bourbon I've been fortunate enough to enjoy. (First off, it it ain't made in Kentucky, it ain't Bourbon) I've tried stuff from Woodford's to Turkey 101, Wathen's, Jefferson's and shoot even Papi once or twice. Rabbit Hole has earned a life time supporter!

After our second Rabbit Hole experience, I cannot say enough good things. Although we had a complication with our tour, they above and beyond took care of us. Shout-out to Josh for making everything perfect and our tour guide, Adam (who we also had on our last tour), who is quite possibly our favorite tour guide we've ever had. He is so knowledgeable and his energy gets you really excited about bourbon and he taught us some things about tasting bourbon that we did not pick up from other places. Everyone in our group of 10 loved the distillery and the Overlook bar. I recommend Rabbit Hole as a must-see.

This was our first distillery tour while visiting Kentucky and by far the best. Josh was great at explaining the process to us. Even though there were only 10 on our tour, he used a microphone when we were in louder areas. What made it so special is when we sat down for the tasting he explained how to look, smell, and taste bourbon. Make sure you budget time after your tour for a cocktail at their bar overlooking Louisville. The only negatives are every tour after this was not as good as Rabbit Hole and they don't sell their bourbon in our home state yet!

Excellent distillery inside a beautiful building! ...

Excellent distillery inside a beautiful building! The tour does cost $23 per person, which is high for the industry, but include five samples of their products. Before leaving the first floor gift shop, we tried a sample of their flagship wheated bourbon. We walked past their bottling line, which can bottle 30 bottles per minute, grain room, and barreling. They store most of their bourbon in Frankfort, KY, with Castle & Key. After this, we saw many different fermented, and their 48 foot column still. After walking up a few flights of stairs, we arrived at "Overlook" a cocktail bar and beautiful space to enjoy the rest of your tastings. We tasted the regular wheated bourbon again, rye whiskey, gin, and Sherry cask bourbon. I enjoyed the Sherry cask bourbon the most. Highly recommended tour and worth the price!

Unique facility, good tour, great whiskey

Tour guide Tom gave a detailed showing around the open and modern distillery. Rabbit hole offers a different perspective from the vintage bourbon distilleries. The tour ended with a 4 spirit tasting, all of which were top shelf.

Rabbit Hole Distillery is a great tour. The staff is friendly, the facilities are immaculate, and the product is tasty. You can really tell that when they built this distillery they had both production and tourism in mind. The only downside for me was we couldn't see the bar because they had it reserved for an event.

Purchased the virtual tour during a recent visit to the Louisville area. The experience was absolutely outstanding. Adam did a great job describing and answering all of our questions on the four bourbons included in the package. The tour was very relaxed and informative. Can't wait to go back for a live tour after everything is opened again. Highly recommended!

Building is gorgeous and it s stops about there. Sub par product and bar upstairs had the slowest/ most miserable bartender ever. For the $ they charge for drinks the experience and quality didn t match expectations.

Didn't get to do a tour, but the facility was very nice and the staff was polite. Wish they had samples available of all their products. For example, they had a vodka (not made by them) that the bar upstairs wanted a third of the bottle price for a 1 oz pour. We bought one bottle blind given that, but my have bought more had we tried it. Also need to label the bar. One of our guys got off the elevator on the wrong floor and was told he couldn't be there without a guide, but clearly it was very easy to do.

Great informative tour with a science twist. As a food science major i found it fascinating to view a hipper never distillery. Their merch was bomb. We got chocolates with our tasting (mo chocolate mo better). I will say our guide was bomb. She was super sweet and knowledgeable. We had a group on our tour that was giving their own tour and talked over her, but she handled it like a boss. Will tell people to check it out.

This distillery is one of the best place to visit by far. Add this on your list when you are on Kentucky Bourbon Trail. There are lots of places to eat near by as well.
All employees were very friendly. We didn't make a reservation, and the tours were booked. They offered us to go up to the Over look Bar, and that was the best thing ever. The view was very nice. The place was cozy. The best part was the drink, something that has Tiki in its name (in the picture with orchid) and another drink was very good too. I think they were best cocktails we had for the whole trip. I would recommend everyone to go try this place.

Beautiful, newly constructed distillery. Do a great job of explaining the process and taking you throughout the process, even getting up close and personal! Probably one of the better tastings of all the distilleries I visited in the area. They get dinged because they don't let you keep the tasting glass. Every other distillery let's you keep the tasting glass and most have cheaper tours so they need to get that on the level.

Did a virtual tour 2 days ago with my roommate and it was a blast. Adam was so great and so knowledgeable. I have had the Sherry Cask finished bourbon before but not the others and now I think cavehill is my favorite. The virtual tour was a blast it was almost like being there. Once this virus clears up we plan on taking a trip there to see the gorgeous distillery in person.

Update got to try their founders collection rye. It is hands down the best rye I've ever sipped. The bottle and case are gorgeous. Truly a collectors item but the whiskey itself is just fantastic. Words can't describe the complexities of flavors.

I am giving this a 4 because there was room for improvement. This is an interesting place, they definitely max out the allowed amount of samples, and you get an up close and raw view of the bourbon making process. That alone makes it 5 star in my books! The guide was friendly, but he spoke so fast that I seriously doubted he was from KY. Which isn t a problem, the problem was we couldn t understand half of what he was saying. We were also never told that there was a bar. So, we just left at the end. It was only now when I was reading other reviews that people are talking about a bar.

I really think that the space is perfect to have fun music and lights and I could have sworn that I saw that while passing on the street one day. But none of the party atmosphere was happening the Saturday night we were there.

This was the best tour we did in Louisville. Their open fermentation tanks showed us the different stages of fermentation...and we got to taste each one. They're the new kids on the block and everything is automated and transparent. The tastings were well-explained and delicious. Highly recommend!

Called ahead to check out the Overlook twice and was told that the bar was open to the public until 6- we called around 2PM just to be sure because we had to plan our itinerary around coming to the bar. We arrived via Uber to be told that the bar was closed for a public event. Super disappointing, waste of our money, and poor customer service.

Beautiful space built to educate about Bourbon (which I dislike the taste of). Enjoyable tour, and good learning experience, followed by a tasting in the beautifully done Over Look. I enjoyed it even though it didn t help change my opinion on the taste of Bourbon!

Took the 1 hour tour on Fri the 10th, Tommy was our guide. Very modern facility, built with tourism in mind. Enjoyed seeing each step of the process up close. Tasting happened in the bar space on the third floor. Bar had two glass walls overlooking the city, outdoor space and several different modern seating configurations. Guide was very thorough in explaining the proper way to taste the spirits, there is even a sensory board on the table for comparison. The entire staff here was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are very dedicated to the craft of bourbon making. I would recommend this tour, its a great break from the older and big name distilleries.

Rabbit Hole has won several awards, including winning best straight bourbon in show, double gold at the New York World Wine and Spirits competition.

Its straight bourbon is the only one made with barley as secondary flavoring grain, and it is made with 70 percent corn, 10 percent malted wheat, 10 percent honey malted barley and 10 percent malted barley.

This was one of the best tours I ve ever been on. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the tasting experience was extremely engaging. Plus, they had gin on their tasting menu too). The building is beautiful, and the bar upstairs offers amazing views of Louisville

I would highly recommend going on a tour of this facility. I m sure I ll be back!

As a Wright State University Alumni Bourbon Trail guest, we visited this spectacular place! Our guide was outstanding and the post-tour tastings were delicious! My favorite was the Heigold and the whole Rabbit Hole experience comes to mind with each and every sip! This place is a "must see" stop!
