The Continental Club Review

This is an excellent place for anyone wanting to experience local Austin performers. The continental club is a classic austin venue with great music, a nice bar and a family friendly atmosphere.

Toni price and band are well worth your time. Fun.

I enjoy attending shows at the CC; however, I had a negative experience with a bartender once who was extremely rude to me and was more interested in drinking shots with a young tattooed woman seated next to me at the bar. Thankfully,that seemed to be an isolated incident because I've had good service for most every visit I've made since then.

Small, with great music. Impossible go wrong if you choose to go there to have a beer and listen to good and real music. I bought even a cap while I was there. loved

Great atmosphere, great prices. Stopped out of the blue and heard an awesome Blues Band.

They were pretty rude this time we came around to Austin. We were there for a few hours and then we went to grab pizza and came back and they had a cover this time... The show wasn't starting until another hour and there was hardly any seating anywhere.. The guy kept coming up to us to ask if we were staying or not... It felt like harassment because we were just trying to finish one beer and pay out.. I was pretty disappointed this time around.

Always fun here! This time I caught the Greyhounds, who were playing some new tunes. There's ice cold Topo Chico if you aren't drinking.

While I was in Austin, my hubby asked me to stop in. I bought him 2 patches. Would have loved to hear a band. Went in late afternoon. Looked very fun inside.

If you miss Kinna old country music, visit here. Good musicians playing music and sing.

Not my favorite in Austin.. awkward seating arrangements and way overpriced... Good music though

Always a great place to catch some local bands that will make you leave with a smile and want to go back for more.

One of the Classic Clubs for music...great residency s for stars not touring...always good music.

Great music. They have updated the women's bathroom. Disappointing. It hadn't been cleaned in 50 years. Now it's clean and boring, other than the graffiti on the he walls. So I added my own. Always a good time at the Continental.

This place is timeless and classic. There aren't many spots like this in the US.

Stop in around five and avoid paying the cover and get some happy hours deals.

Great live music club that exists since the 1950s. Good sound and friendly atmosphere. We've been there twice in a row to see Junior Brown, Marti Brom and Big Sandy & the Flyright Boys, two fantastic evenings.

The Gallery has low cover charges, attentive, polite and appreciative audiences, a small venue, a reasonable bar, and outstanding music.

Great music venue. Was able to easily get a good spot and see the stage. The band playing at the time was really good. One note: if you re expecting fancy cocktails then this isn t the place for you.

I have been coming here for ages and it continues to not dissapoint! This place is a must see for austinites and tourists alike. you can catch some of the best "true" austin music around with their weekly acts (toni price, etc).

The drinks are reasonably priced. Its small so not a bad seat in the house.

The Continental Club is fantastic. I went to go see Ben Kweller's show with openers Whiskey Sisters and Dan Goebel. It was a fantastic show and such a cool venue. The bouncers are really strict, but with good reason, they're doing their jobs with great pride. The shows are always fantastic, and everyone's always having a good time.

The music is great, the staff and patrons friendly, and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Fun (but small) venue for live music. Show up early if you want a good spot. There is some limited tall seating in the back. The twice-a-year Elvis show is super fun.

Unique place with live music. Worth a visit to see the decor and catch some local bands while enjoying a beer!

Totally Texas! This place is awesome! I am from Ohio and they had a killer band on a Monday night that made it feel like a Saturday night. Really good time. Would definitely come back.

Some good music happens here. Small and intimate, you get to know the musicians. Drinks available at the bar. Informal and comfortable.

Old School Austin Bar with great live music at Happy Hour and beyond. Laid back people of all ages. Go get your groove on!

Unique experience, but both bands that played this evening we're not very good, especially the lead singers.

This is Austin! Music starts early and ends late. Funky, red, retro throw back place. Dance and drink and hang out with tourists and locals alike. Drink local beer. Keep Austin weird.

Austin staple, they may be blocking every view and block with new condos but they cannot take away good old Continental Club!

I would say great Dive with great Music. Good drinks, and the bands we saw were fantastic.

Classic atx establishment. Good sound. Tables. Reasonable drinks.

Cold Lone Stars for cheap. Great stage setup for live music w/ surprisingly solid acoustics.

A wonderful, small music venue with some incredible acts

I was hoping for the Continental Club that is in John Wick. This was not the same Continental Club but it was still nice. The Continental Club in the movie is a hotel and I don't have a coin but this Continental Club had great service.
