One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. They have the most comfortable beds ever and have numerous hot tubs placed on the side of the mountain. Right next to the ball park as well. I love this place
Everything was fine until the night front desk person get involved. He refused his name, refused to take a message until I asked. I had to ask him to stop yelling at me. Then he said I'll just say you yelled at me and this conversation will go nowhere. Kinda place that only nice when your giving them your money.
Now that I'm getting rude responses from them. Let's talk the pool. Due to social distancing they moved the chairs apart. Which of fine, but their chairs were parked right in front of the bee hive. There is a sign that says avoid the bees, but the hive is literally next to the pool. People were playing volleyball and the ball would roll over there. The pool is littered with bee carcasses so good luck with your little ones or you bee allergy. You could go to the other side yes, but there is limited seating due to social distancing.
Beautiful resort. I stayed here for a week on business and must rave about this place!!! The staff is incredible and the food is delicious! My room was so comfortable and I had a ground floor patio with a view of the pools. Even in December, sitting outside the bar area was so warm and delightful thanks to heaters and attentive bar staff. I can't wait to bring my husband out on a getaway!!
I like many things about this hotel. My favorite was that it had its own hiking trails on the adjacent Butte. I also liked that the pools were beautiful but they were not heated when we were here so they were pretty frigid. The hot tubs all along the mountain are really cool. I wasn't overly thrilled with the room, it seems like they need an update. Everything was clean and the service was good. The staff were generally very friendly.
Wait staff was amazing. They encouraged us to try the chicken and donuts.. AMAZING!! The Thai Shrimp another OMG! And the flourless choc cake.. which again amazing.. top all that amazing with the view!!
My favorite spot to stay in Phoenix. Great service, phenomenal property and a view to boot.
This is a gem in tempe which not easily visible from outside. Very good service by all employees and a great view of the city on top of the rock restaurant.
Nice place for Christmas party
Miliband
Stayed here for the weekend while we were in town for a funeral. Lobby is beautiful and had an indoor waterfall that's very peaceful. Staff have been very professional and helpful. The pool area is beautiful and we spent several hours unwinding there. The pool itself could be cleaner. I was disappointed that the beds were full sized, not queen. It was rather "cozy".
Clean and well kept. Friendly staff and adequate parking.
Lovely resort. Beautiful views and grounds. Very friendly & helpful staff.
Very friendly, welcoming staff at this hotel. Clean room, but spread out. Great restaurant! Would certainly stay again.
2nd time staying. Love it. Just a great Phoenix atmosphere on top on nice rooms, amenities and friendly, welcoming service. Top of the Rocks restaurant on property and great as well. Several hot tubs strategically placed in the rock. Really cool place.
Great resort. Amazing pool/pools. Epic views from the restaurant and food was way better than average Marriot. Built right into the Butte ( still not sure what that is exactly but there is a tennis court and cemetery on site just Incase )
Food is alright. But special really but good enough
I have been a loyal elite Marriott member for over 10 years and stay at Marriott locations all over the country 2 to 3 times a month. I have never been treated so poorly by the staff and managenent. We ended up packing up and leaving early during a family Labor Day weekend because I refuse to contribute one more penny to a hotel that treats their customers so bad. To spend money to stay at a hotel that repeatedly disrespects me and my family was extremely disappointing. I am beyond words.
It's an ok Marriott, we'll see after all the room renovations are done. Rooms prerenovation have the musty smell with popcorn ceilings. Not exactly the most inviting to elite status as well. No concierge or M lounge, no room upgrades.
They don't allow smoking almost anywhere. Pool closes early. Small beds
Beautiful views! A very nice luncheon meeting with an excellent fillet.
Nice place for a meeting, outlets at every seat to charge your phones, ect. & Comfortable chairs.
It is the best resort I have ever been to in or out of the United States. Many pools outstanding service great views and great foods . Really visit and all other resorts will be second rated at best.
Enjoyed staying here. Support staff are very accommodating.
I was there for a professional conference and the property was beautiful and it was in a great location, in the middle of Tempe on top of a butte. Definitely worth checking out.
If you're a gym-goer, go at off-peak hours. Limited equipment means it will likely be full in the mornings (~6am).
Very open spot and an amazing place to hang out with family, Highly recommended.
Love this resort! The pool is amazing and the architecture is not something you see very often in Phoenix. The resort is built into the mountain and has numerous waterfalls and hidden hot tubs. It feels like you're in Hawaii without having the 5 hour plane ride. I definitely recommend this resort for couples and families alike.
Great view of the surrounding city from the nearby butte. You just hike up a little trail for a minute and you can see the entire city, as well as planes landing at Sky Harbor. The hotel rooms themselves are pretty average but reliable, like most Marriotts. However, the pool area is lovely, especially when they light it up at night time. The hotel itself is in a great centralized location, as it's relatively close to the airport, ASU, and Mill Ave.
Great location, close to Sky Harbor Airport. Beautiful views, 2 pools, 4 hot tubs. The service has been wonderful, with very clean rooms.
Company party. Was surprised there was a valet charge for a company party. The banquet room seemed dark, almost felt like a basement. Over all it was fine, but I probably would go again
Gorgeous hotel with amazing views. Service was excellent. Location close to the airport. Rooms are clean and very nice.
We had a Christmas party there and the view was stunning the food is over the top the staff is amazing....do your self a solid...book a week....you will be living like movie stars!!!!
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week, last June 29th through July 4th. I used to live in Phoenix and want to move back. My wife had never been to AZ and told me the only way she would consider moving there is if she could More
First class and tucked in the mountains. I love all the waterfalls. This hotel captures Arizona.
A little dated but very nice. Clean, great pool and bar
This was the hotel booked by our bride and groom friends. Their excellent taste in each other carried over to their choice of this property. The staff was friendly and the amenities were ample. The view of the buttes from the fitness center almost made me forget I was on a treadmill. We enjoyed a few hours of cool sunshine by the rambling pool area. Even numbered rooms look in to the pool area and up to the lobby and Top of the Rock restaurant. Odd numbers face I-10 and the mountains in the distance. Our even numbered room on the third level was just below the pool deck, and that was a nice quiet place. A few reviews of this Marriott mentioned the excessive walking from building to building. It seemed like any large resort hotel and was not a problem for us. We are still wondering why guests pay $10 per night to self park in a lot with ample spaces.... We would stay here again.
I love staying at the Buttes hotel. the food is excellent, and the hotel very nice.
This hotel is so wonderfully unique! The pools are beautiful and the water slide was as much fun for me as it was for my kids. The staff was kind and took extra care to welcome us and make sure that we were confident navigating the hotel grounds.
My wife and I have come here for our last two anniversaries. It is top-notch from the moment you pull into the property. The rooms are modern, very clean, and have beautiful patios to enjoy the mountain views. Top of the Rock is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Phoenix, too, with absolutely stunning views of the city. The staff is excellent across the board - very fun and personable - and they truly know how to make a special occasion like our anniversary even more special and memorable! If you are staying anywhere in Phoenix - for business or pleasure - this is where you need to go.
The rooms are very clean. The entire property is beautiful and so much to do! We ate breakfast at the market place, they had the most delicious buffet! I would definitely recommend it. only complaint I have it that I paid for room with a view and it was pretty much a just a rock and a tiny portion of the pool. Other than that, everything went well.
Went to enjoy the pool.horrendous services.all pool attentands too busy on their phone
Had a great experience wish there would have been a couple more waitress' servicing the patrons at the pool was
Nice amenities, that I did not partake in. On my next visit I plan on using them & testing out the restaurant(s).
The room was ok, but the architecture of the hotel is stunning...built into the rock!
Great resort and staff. Issues with wifi and refrigerator
2 month after staying there they charged me an additional $400 on my credit card.... i almost didnt catch it.... it was a mistake on there part they double charged me..... and 2 months later!!! how does that even happen? never stay here again, BAD BAD BAD RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
View and architecture are really cool, service was good, but food wasn't great. I probably just ordered the wrong thing because my colleague's was much better, but mine was weird and too adventurous for me. Also it's part of a hotel, which was a bit odd.
Very tranquill and relaxing. Made you feel comfortable and family orientated. The swimmimg pools and jacuzzi really were just perfect right by the cabana bar. Great way to spend the summer.
Beautiful resort incredible staff highly recommended!
Great location close to the airport with very nice views and great staff. The rooms are very clean and modern.
Flew into PHX on an early flight and had an hour to kill before my appointment - stopped in for a coffee and read WSJ - very nice property - valet guys were cool - all good - next time in PHX I'll try and stay here
Had our company Christmas party here. Was well catered.
The entire hotel is out dated, for the amount they charge for a nightly stay they really should upgrade the resorts appearance and rooms.
Great service and food. Love the pool setups. Restaurants are amazing. Will come again!
Awesome experience received a massage from Rachel at the spa, pool was awesome
Clean, front desk staff excellent, and porters top notch. Surrounding are beautiful.
The spa was excellent. The pool was a lot of fun after with great service from a busy bar
Beautiful atmosphere, perfect for a large gathering
It is in a beautiful location with a nice swimming pool. The rooms are pretty nice.
Smaller than expected room for price point. Nice venue and location.
Not a bad place. I think it's a beautiful location and has a unique style. The only downfall, they charge $15 a night for parking and $15 a day for resort fees. Not to mention when we were there, the slide for the kids was not in service. There also no grills in site. We made it a great time.
It's a very nice hotel, rooms are clean and look modern. The rooms don't have microwaves though. The pool is very large and both of them connect with another pool. Service is very polite and as soon as you check in they call you to ask you if you need anything.
Front desk Humpty Dumpty at 11:00pm June 1, 2020 was unbelievably rude and out of line I would NOT STAY HERE outside is beautiful but rooms r just average to sub par for the price. Judging from the reviews looks like corporate Marriott need to take a good hard look at this and see if that's who they want representing their name cuz I sure wouldn't
It was nice. I didn't take advantage if any of the resort as I was out late all day for business. But it seemed like a great place with many options.
The hotel was nice and very unique built into the mountain. The food was ok, but not great and some things were not good at all. (Except for the steak at the Top of the Rock, that was to die for.)
We filled out the door card to have the cleaning staff come between 10:30 and 12:30 and placed it on the door the night before. We went to the spa and got back to the room around 3 and it still wasn't done. Not a big deal but why make choosing a time an option if you aren't going to follow through?
The spa was amazing and that was tv's best facial we've ever had anywhere. I highly recommend the spa.
Every staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. I was extremely impressed with the staff's genuine interest in making our stay a pleasant one.
Really nice property and staff. The rooms feel a bit dated and could use an upgrade. Pool area was nice but the bar closed early that serviced them. Be prepared for tons of kids. Had a great meal at Top of the Rock.
Fantastic location with a staff that goes above and beyond!
We have been coming here for years. Was a upscale 4 star under Westin. Since Marriott took over their have been changes. The front desk staff always looked so professional and polished. Not anymore. Thought I was checking into a 2 Star. I always loved The vanity in the bath. A great added feature. Now they re removing them! The clientele has changed over the years. I talked with a lady at the pool who thought the same thing. The air conditioner in our room was soooo loud, I didn t sleep well at all. I think our years with this resort are coming to an end. Time to move on to another....
Very nice resort in a beautiful location. Be sure to take the (free for guests) morning walking tour up the adjacent butte.
Pool area is spectacular. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Fitness center top notch with a great view. I will say that the room itself was just average at best.
