Beautiful Hotel! Clean, wonderful breakfast, fun happy hour and considerate staff. I think that being in a residential neighborhood was very nice. A bit far from the beach, but that may be an advantage. Not noisy and busy at all. We had a corner 4th floor room. 2 balconies and extra large bathroom. Smallish closet. Room had a pull out couch and lounge chair. I would have liked streaming services on my TV and a welcome gift at this rate. Well, I'm up for a change from the Marriott. Meh. Go and enjoy, Stacey

The room was Large and comfortable. Every single thing about this place was perfection! Staff, room, amenities, all of it! We will be returning!!
The breakfast is awesome. Close to plenty of things to do. They even have a small electric vehicle that you can have run you to places that are within 3 miles! but as I had my own car with me I even did not try it. I had parked my car with instapark my always favourite!

This little gem hidden in Santa Monica was a great find. Beautiful hotel, nice breakfast, great service. The room was gorgeous, with a nice balcony. Kinda swanky, but can be casual too. Enough restaurants & bars nearby. It had everything we needed. Great shampoos & conditioners and the bathrobes we're SO SOFT! We really enjoyed our time at this little get-away!

A nicely appointed hotel in Santa Monica. Some rooms are better than others. I've stayed in an ADA room on the first floor - had a small balcony, street noise wasn't bad. 308 is wedge shaped with a tiny window. 310's pretty good, overlooking the courtyard.. There was another one (don't recall the room number) that looked out onto an alley and I think a senior housing complex. Continental breakfast has some good elements and some consistently bad elements (like the coffee and the ham and cheese croissants). Rooms are spacious, hotel is quiet. $25 a night to park a car plus the City of Santa Monica will charge you between 10-15% of your total bill for its own parking tax.

I'd go back here in a heartbeat. If I am ever in the Santa Monica area and can stay for more than just one night, this will be my choice. Bicycles to use to ride along the beach at no charge? YES PLEASE!
Complimentary continental breakfast featuring non-typical fare and was presented beautifully.
Front desk staff super helpful and really pleasant to deal with.
The room: spacious, comfy, quiet and LUXE.
It may not be on the beach, but it's super swanky at a reasonable price for the area.

Small (but not so much) hotel very well located in Santa Monica. Courteous service, fair parking, good breakfast (not sensational) and great accommodations. I think that for the price of the daily rate I could have a better breakfast. Few options on the menu for dinner or for emergency quick snacks. I recommend it, but it is worth trying a slightly better cost-effective one.

I love this place! We stayed here 2 nights awhile back and just love how cozy the hotel is. It definitely has it charms and doesn t make you feels like you re staying at just some big hotel chain. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and we love using their courtesy car service to get to restaurant. Highly recommend this place to stay in Santa Monica.

Fantastic Hotel, so laid back. Great location and the house car will drop you anywhere within 3miles (approx). If you don't fancy the walk. Staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of chose and coffee. Rooms were big, clean and well serviced. Hotel is very quiet, felt like I was the only one there. The Ambrose was close to work while I was in Santa Monica and I would stay again.

This is one of the dirtiest hotel I have stayed at in a while. When we arrived, the shower curtain smelled like strong body odor, the pillows smelled like someone's oily scalp. The carpet in the room leaves your feet feeling dusty, I had to wear shoes in the room! The whole night we could hear the guy in the next room snore. Equipment-wise they have a cathode ray tube TV from the 80s.

The bed mattress was either too old or cheap, the springs have mostly given out.

Parking was not free.

Breakfast croissants were good.

Would not waste your money! Unless you show up looking like you have money,, you won t get service they guarantee, if even!. The manager is worthless and rude. If you even want ice, you have to call front desk then wait until someone is available. Certainly not even close to being a 2 star hotel when it could be 5 stars if managed appropriately. Don t pay the price when service is way below the price you pay!

Loved Hilary at the front desk! She was very welcoming, friendly, and inviting. Upon arrival she told us all about the hotels features and when we came back from dinner, she invited us to sit by the cozy fire outside which was very relaxing.

My friend and I stayed at the Ambrose Hotel for her bday celebration. We enjoyed the accommodations emensely. The guest service standards were excellent. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to improve our experience. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The robes and sheets were so soft. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel uses all green product to clean so it's a toxic free environment that
Is family friendly. Overall we really felt at home at the Ambrose Hotel and we made some new friends in the process. Including John at the front desk he was everything you could ask for in a consierge and more.

Went to visit a friend from out of town who was staying there...turns out they have a happy hour from 6::00-8:00 and there's a great outdoor seating area so we started the evening there. The bartender (Drew) and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also provides a Tesla with a driver for guests to get to nearby restaurants or shopping...a really nice perk. I'm impressed and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Santa Monica/West L.A.

We stayed here for work some time ago (about a year and a half ago) and had a great stay. But this time around I found the hotel to be unkempt, run down and the staff generally slow and not too pleasant. We had a lot of issues with a gentleman at the front desk and they key making process. Keys never seemed to work which meant we kept having to go up and down from our room to the front desk to have them re-make only to get back up (several times) and realize they made them wrong again!
The upgraded room also did not math the pics online at all. The room was tiny, triangular shaped and extremely uncomfortable. We did not get refilled toiletries in our room during the 4 days there. Also, they do not provide you with drinking water in your room (which seems crazy to me given our room was over $350 a nigh and I felt like it was coffin sized). Generally this was a bad experience and I know we won't be booking here for work trips again.

Eye surgery? This is perfect because it's dark. Nearby is a large surgery center specializing in eye surgeries, so this is common. My mother stayed here after her cataract surgery and will do it again. Also, you can relax and sit upright in their London-style taxicab.

Expensive, lackluster. $100 facilities in a $300 package. Sure it is Santa Monica, but still... Normal room, not bad, it was clean. But nothing more than a comfort inn, the gym was meh, it had breakfast though. And I guess at least it had a gym and breakfast for such an expensive place.

We visited this wonderful and well-known hotel here in our area last weekend. My partner and I enjoyed our stay in this place. The surrounding was so relaxing. They also have a huge swimming pool on the rooftop, and it was so refreshing. I highly recommend this place for those who wanted to release their stress! Cheers!

The Ambrose has quickly become my favorite place to stay in Santa Monica. Warm, caring and helpful staff, cozy rooms, and great amenities. I wish the hotels by the beach had the same feel as the Ambrose. The breakfast and local shuttle service are nice touches, but I should mention they're not "free" - you'll pay a $25 "guest amenity fee" for these services. Being shuttled around in a Tesla is a nice touch, though.

The Hotel is a charm! I have nothing to complain about. The rooms are great, the attendants are super attentive, the breakfast is a delight. In addition, they have a car that takes you up to 3 miles away (ie, takes you to the main points of the neighborhood). I recommend!

The location of the hotel is great, near all the family activities as well as two casinos. The lobby and recreational areas are very nice, newly renovated, and the staff are super helpful and friendly. It is a great hotel with good staff, well-cleaned rooms and has a lot of good things to do. We will come back and recommend the hotel to my friends and family.

Great sized rooms with a modern, chic look. Quiet at night with a hotel that offers great amenities. Very polite and attentive staff, especially Hillary at the front desk, she made our stay that much better. I would recommend this place to a friend or family member.

I had an absolutely amazing time with my mom at The Ambrose Hotel. I was there for a dental procedure by Dr. Sam Muslin and Hilary, Greg, Alfred, Matthew. and everyone else there helped make our time together truly memorable. We loved the wine nights, the bike rentals, the peloton bikes, the coffee, and just the people. We highly, highly recommend the place and will definitely be back!!!!
