Always enjoy swinging by Alibi for an after dinner drink, was super stoked to see the Storm Flanders Sour on tap. Veggie burger is mediocre and mushy- so I ll probably avoid coming back to eat!

Hands down one of the best places for drinks and casual/semi casual meetups. Best beer menu in town, solid food, but probably don't go for fancy cocktails tho available too. Spacious, wonderful venue and I've never had a bad experience with service - the staff know their stuff about. Be adventurous and try new beer while here. Usually moor drinking and talking gets done here than eating per se. Oh and don't forget about weekend brunch.

Came down here for a high school buddy s reunion and was blown away. The beer menu here is extraordinary and changes all the time. I would suggest going with a flight of beers to really take advantage of their selection. The food was decent but it s really just there to complement the drinks. A hidden gem near downtown Vancouver.

Tried to reserve seats for 8 two weeks prior to a bachelor party, and was told no reservation required. They'd make room for us.

Half our party shows up and we're told that the wait could be upwards of an hour and a half. We put in our name and had elsewhere to wait.

The other half of our party shows up and gets seats for 8. As soon as the first half gets back, we're told it's a restaurant and that we have to be VERY quiet.

3 of 10 had one beer, and when one tried to buy a round, we were asked to leave.

Manager was rude, and food and drink have to be ordered at the bar if downstairs (no waitresses).

We picked a different location and will never be going back.

Didn't have a chance to try beer or food, unfortunately...

A fantastic place for beer lovers, easily the finest selection of draft beers in Vancouver, if not all of B.C. The staff seek out kegs of microbrews from around the province and sometimes beyond, and the list of some 20 drafts is constantly changing, so it is always worthwhile to stop in and see what's new. The food is "gastro pub," so a bit more upscale than typical pub grub, but very tasty. Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

The Alibi Room offers brunch from 10am-2:45pm on weekends and they have a great selection of bennies and egg scrambles. This self-proclaimed "Modern Tavern" has a rustic feel and is a great joint for a relaxing night over drinks on the east side of Gastown. They specialize in providing a huge selection of craft beer on tap from across the province so this is a must visit for beer connoisseurs!

The staff here are pretty chill and accommodating. One of the better selections of craft beer in the city and tucked away for a fun adventure with your friends. I used to live around the corner and this was, and still is, one of my favorite spots. The basement is pretty cool too. I highly recommend checking this spot out.

I love this bar. Great beer selection, great food, friendly staff. Downstairs is great as you go up and order your own food and beer at the bar. No waiting around. I'm yet to have a bad night at Alibi

Great ambiance and likely the best selection of craft beers of any bar around. Unfortunately, it's a wait during peak hours. One quirk of this place is that they have these long communal tables, but always leave one chair empty between parties, so a lot of space is wasted. I wanted to join some of my friends that were already seated, but staff informed it it would be impossible because then I would be sitting next to another group. Weird. The things we do to visit the best bars.

Great beer selection and cool decor/atmosphere. The vibe of this place reminds me of what a lot of the Gastown bars used to be 10 years ago before they all gave up and fell into the typical Donelly Group mold. Had/have lots of good times with friends here.

Came across on yelp. Highly rated and good reviews so we gave it a go. Glad we did. Beer list almost made me weep with joy and the food was excellent. Moderately priced. Was packed when we got there around 7ish but we didn't have to wait long for a table.

Very chic bar with a cool ambiance. Great for a night out with a few friends grabbing some beer and food.

They have a wide selection of beers which all taste great. Food also is surprisingly good! Almost better than their beer ahaha.

Highly recommend checking this place out on the edge of Gastown.

Alright, maybe it was the 12 year anniversary beer list... But nah. It's always great at the Alibi Room. There's always a local (or many) you can't get anywhere other than the brewery. And the staff are knowledgeable and helpful in ways you don't get most other places. I come back again and again for great service, amazing lists, and a fantastic night.

Off the beaten path, tucked away at the north end of Main St. so most people are unlikely to stumble upon it by accident.

The Alibi Room is a destination for Vancouver craft beer enthusiasts however. The offer a deep-cuts beer list favouring those from the Pacific north-west. Note the ones that are Next-up as they will follow once the one above has been drained.

If you're lucky, you get an opinionated server that can provide additional information and suggestions. Well worth a visit for people who aschew big box brews.

The Alibi Room is the place to go to if you're looking to go out at the end of a stressful week but want to shy away from nightclubs. I would totally go here for drinks after work with friends or coworkers as well although it is a bit of a farther walk from the Downtown Core.

If you appreciate good craft beer, you will have a pleasant experience at the Alibi Room. They have a large selection of different brews and I like how the menu indicates how hoppy or malty the beers are.

As for food, selection is pretty limited. However, food quality is definitely a step up from pubs/bars.

If you're wandering around Gastown or East Side, I definitely recommend checking out this place!

When for the burger. Was over cooked and dry. Had the making for a good burger otherwise

One of my favourite bars in Gastown, Vancouver. Customer service is always amazing and I love the atmosphere of this place. The decor is beautiful and simple. I also love the idea of long tables so it looks almost like a beer garden, indoor. They got great selections of drinks and you can also do a flight of four for around $15. It s a great spot for a chill night and drinks with your friends because the location is far enough from the chaotic side of gastown.

The cornerstone bar/restaurant of Vancouver's craft beer scene. Nigel was one of the first restauranteurs to see the eventual rise of good beer a decade before it really happened. Despite lots of competition now the Alibi is still the premiere bistro bar in which to sample the finest BC and the world has to offer on tap. Great atmosphere all nights of the week and a very solid food menu to boot. Can't really go wrong here unless your palate begins and ends with more industrial beers like Bud, Molson and their kind.

If your looking for craft beer and a low key environment this is the place for you. The feel when you walk into the alibi room is that of an English pub. The selection of beers is never anything less than mind blowing. Highly recommend to anyone looking to drink something unique and off the beaten path.

There was lots of beer. Like, lots and lots. So if you like beer and cider of different types, you might enjoy this place.

It has a cool ambiance and a nice layout. The basement is less styled but great for overflow.

If you can check it out, worth a look.

With such good reviews I expected better service. Seated at lower level which only has bar service, I ordered and paid for the meal ahead of time. An hour later, five visits to the table by staff to confirm my order, and my friends having already finished their meals, I finally received mine. Understandably mixup do happen when things get busy, however it was the sense of complete indifference of the staff which bothered me, as in I already paid so who cares if my food was an hour late.

The Alibi Room has one of the best beer lists in the city. They have over 60 craft beers at all times. I've had their burger a few times and I've never been disappointed. My wifes favorite is their cilantro wings. I'm not a fan of them since I hate cilantro. Overall the restaurant has a great chill vibe thats always busy. Its worth stopping by.

Great atmosphere and selection of food and drinks, but the staff weren't very friendly when our party of 13 people arrived. We were flexible and nice, but they were crabby to have to take in more than a party of 10.

It's much better now with the new menu with lower priced items. They used to charge $20 for an average tasting burger so I would always only order beer there. Now with items like a $14 chicken burger with really good fries, I will probably be ordering food with my beer from now on. Their taster set or frat bat is still seriously over-priced, though.

This place has the best fries and beers. I'm a huge fan of sours and you cannot get them at very many places. Plus there is 50 or so taps and they change every three days. Great place for drinks and food.
