Great kids program. Great view. There is no sandy beach.
Had lunch and drinks. Great beer selection, and the food was great. 5 star star experience as you would expect.
This resort is quite lovely, however we just wanted a drink so we walked down the hill to Nelson's where we had very expensive, short pour cocktails that were completely forgettable. Oh well, you live and learn.
Lovely mid week lunch at Bashi. The food is delectable and well worth the price. Very nice service. The ambience feels miles away from the city.
The resort was by the sea and the atmosphere was good. Bedding arrangements or cleaning aren't very clean, so take out one star
Chose this place to get engaged and there isn t a prettier view. The grounds are amazing and everything is top notch
Absolutely beautiful. Huge property, bring comfy shoes. The grounds are beautiful and you have many choices for rooms and budget. The restaurants and entertainment is great. Lots of walking trails, beautiful views and pools.
Relax at the spa, take a hike or just chill at the pool. You will enjoy this beautiful resort in Palos Verdes. Make sure you eat at Nelsons. Make reservations. If you go in the summer they have a summer concert series. You honestly don't have to leave the property, you will have plenty to do.
Beautiful resort overlooking Pacific ocean. Great Sunday brunch buffet
Had lunch overlooking the ocean. Food was pricey but delicious. Service a little slow but very friendly. Highly recommend for a leisurely lunch.
It's a beautiful location, but all the prices are through the roof. At their more casual restaurant, Nelson's, it was $23 for 3 medium sized tacos.
Beautiful resort, staff so friendly and the food at Catalina kitchen was delicious.
Beautiful public trails contour around the resort with sweeping views. Restaurant was expensive but good. Service was great!
Started as an overnight guest for a wedding. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is super sweet and so, so helpful. And the food is delicious!
The Buffett at the Catalina was very good, but it's a bit pricy.
Beautiful five star resort sitting on the point at Palos Verdes. First class hotel with incredible amenities. Bring your gold or platinum Amex!
Great little spot right on the ocean. The golf course is a nice 9 hole executive course and the rooms are amazing. The cove is so peaceful but I don't think you can. Swim in it. Otherwise I strongly recommend the restaurants there.
Very great view of the sunrise and sunset from this property.
Wonderful and amazing location.. So beautiful!!!! The Casitas were beyond excellent with the oceanview and "felt like home" feeling. I didn't want to leave. A must experience to have.
Great resort. Lovely scenery. Only problems are that parking isn't free even if you are a guest. Parking is 30 something dollars per night which is a lot especially considering longer stays. Aditionally the resort is extremely isolated with the closest anything is a 20 minute drive away.
Excellent resort. We enjoyed the easy hiking trails with amazing views. Lots of great restaurants with a variety of food choices. Staff has been very friendly and helpful.
Goegepis location..best in Los Angeles but the restaurants especially Nelson' s could be better deaigned.
Absolutely one of my favorite resorts in California. The staff is amazing, food is always delicious, and it's just an all around fantastic place to visit. It's only a hour drive to feel like I'm on a tropical vacation.
This is a lovely resort. The grounds are very lush and beautiful. The family pool and water slide are very fun. The views are stunning. The walking paths are great. The front desk is awesome and so accommodating. The rooms are nice. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite since the adjoining room for our children was not available. It was a really nice room. However, the queen sofa bed was beyond awful. You could feel every single coil in it, and no topper was available to cushion it. We ended up getting a roll away, which was decent, and then folding the sofa bed back up to a side and using the bedding to just sleep on the sofa as a sofa. We are fortunate that our kids are young and we could pull that off. I don't think it's reasonable to consider the queen sleeper sofa as a viable sleeping option. Additionally the remote control for the TV's didn't work, we ended up unplugging the tv to turn it off (they're on when you enter the suite). But those are really the two flaws in the room. The food was all fine. We really enjoyed the hibiscus iced tea! We were here with a group of about 50, some golfed and enjoyed that and I heard that spa treatments we're fabulous.
Great restaurant food, service, and view! Pricey, but worth it!
This is a clean resort that is starting to show its age. Things are quite overpriced for what you get elsewhere although what can you expect in Los Angeles? The views are unparalleled as is the natural beauty of the surroundings. This makes up for some of the facilities which could do with a much-needed update. Also the food seems very overpriced for what you get but then again if you can't afford to come here you probably shouldn't ask what the prices are.
Nice place but they refused me a room to change from a business suit before going to airport after having been in a conference in the morning. The front desk told me to change in the restroom or pay $40 for a day pass in the spa. Ridiculous. The food was also bland, tasteless guacamole for example. Cocktails nice.
We accident ended up eating at Nelson s here on my birthday even though we weren t staying at the Resort but food was epic. Great service beautiful views and chill. A little pricey but it s a great place to chill and relax.
Was there for a meeting. Great meeting rooms, good choice of restaurants at different price points. The bungalows were superb with nice view of Pacific.
I have stayed there twice, each time it took an hour to check in on we came the second time because I couldn't believe that the desk at the hotel was so bad because of their teenage employees at the desk. Now I came there to have $30 per drink drinks in the hotel bar, only to find that the bathroom was closed and I walked 300 yards to find a bathroom, then I got confronted by a group of security people that said that they called the sheriff on me so that they could get me convicted of DUI, I would never go here again it's one of those hotels that cooperates with law enforcement to give DUIs after they've gotten you and drunk on there $30 drinks.
Gorgeous resort. Wonderful staff. Rooms are immaculate. Don't miss Nelson's on the water. Incredible!
very nice place
nice view good service delicious food
Very loud noise from trucks hauling propane around the property.
Beautiful place, clean infrastructure. Excellent service. Expensive prices.
The view is absolutely breathe taking! The resort as a whole is just amazing! I feel like I'm in Hawaii!!!
Came here for a friends birthday snd everything was great. Had a stellar massage at the Spa, great drinks by the pool, amd finished off the day with at the restaurant. The food was good and service was unbeatable!
Nelson's down by the water - great casual atmosphere, terrific food.
Stunning resort
Beautiful grounds, excellent meals prepared by the chefs. Fantastic location for a conference or a weekend getaway.
This luxury resort is located outside Los Angeles. Located near the exclusive residential area of Rancho Palos Verdes, you can enjoy the blue sea and the sky. The surrounding area is full of attractions, including Frank Lloyd Wright's Glass Church.
Ate breakfast at the spa area in the sun. It was phenomenal. Good food and great service. We had a amazing waitress named Maureen who went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the summer concert at Nelson. Live music every Friday and Saturday in the summer. Start time is about 6 pm.
Wait time for beer was very long though.
I went to take a coffee. I loved the place. The service is wonderful.
Amazing resort, one of the best I've ever been to! Beautiful views from just about anywhere on the resort, excellent pools all on the ocean, lots of walking trails, great service, and great food. Will definitely be going back!
Beautiful property, excellent service, great food...we make memories everytime we come. This is our 9th year coming- every year. It is our family's special place.
Nice place. Beautiful scenery but the price for parking a bit ridiculous. Make sure to get validated so the parking will be reasonable!
its a great place. someone was hosting a private event here. very clean and lots of rich people come here to have a great time. great view of the ocean. there's valet parking.
This place is super nice. Beautiful ocean views from the terrace. We went during happy hour just to eat at one of the, I believe, 4 restaurants in the resort. The happy hour menu was only option for food during happy hour, yet it was very reasonably priced; same with drinks. We didn't stay overnight, just visiting family nearby. We then went to lounge and socialize in an area of the lobby near a huge fireplace. Pretty pleasant. Definitely will come back, during happy hour!!
Great location (on the coast) with beautiful views. Valet and self parking is free only for Mar'sel or else it's $10 or ?$20 overnight. Mar'sel had great customer service, views but the food doesn't hold up to everything else it has to offer. Mushrooms were too salty. Filet mignon was a bit too dry. You'd expect more from such a nice restaurant. The salmon was actually cooked to perfection with great glaze to it. The lobby is pretty standard but it's the views and location that make this place special
Beautiful accommodations and surrounding scenery. Pool security is very present and helpful
We're not fancy people, but we felt like we were when we stayed at this resort. We were upgraded to a Casita, which was so beyond expectations. We spent a lot of time walking the beautiful property, enjoying the views and the weather. We also spent a lot of time at the pools, one of which has a waterslide that your kids (and you) will enjoy. We were given champagne while waiting to check in. But of course it's expensive. This is a once a year type of splurge for us. If you're a regular resort goer, don't miss this one.
Honestly this is one of my happy places. BUT, the parking was crazy on a Saturday!!! Valet (with validation) was $10, same cost as self parking which is why it was full. But the views, ambiance and kindness of the staff cannot be beat. Love this place!
The Terranea Resort is as beautiful as it is luxurious. The resort and all the employees go beyond to make your stay as decadent as you could hope for. The scenic view is breathtaking. The food choices are wide range enough to appeal to all. It is a five star resort, so please expect five star prices. So worth the treat!
Here for a public event. Beautiful view with friendly staff.
Extremely accommodating staff with great attitudes and extra clean facilities
Fabulous location, clean spacious rooms and very polite staff.
