Staff were very rude and unhelpful after I was instructed to ho into the store to collect my device by Telstra over the phone. The staff in store didn't want to help or even listen to the person on the phone from Telstra complaints she even commented on how the staff had very poor customer service. The staff in store then informed me that they can't do anything that Telstra on the phone says as they are not a Telstra store. Very unsatisfied I will ve taking my business to Optus in future as I have been back and forth for the past week with the store and Telstra.

I live 40 minutes out of town and phoned ahead to confirm they d be open. I was politely told they were.
I arrived 20 minutes before closing and was told the eftpos machine was turned off and I couldn t buy the $200 worth of cases, protectors and accessories I d confirmed were in stock. No F s given by the reception staff at all. 3 staff on and no capacity to make a purchase? Waste of time.
We ve got all our small business services from here, 5 mobiles, our NBN, eftpos line, house line, business phone line, & yes (fax) All the staff have been helpful, considerate, and always eager to help. Great customer service
Went to upgrade mobile and got salesgirl that hardly acknowledged me, to busy listening and laughing with other staff. She was going to charge me $60 to change my data over to new phone but if I was nice to get she wouldn't charge me with a big smirk on her face. Not the first painful time, won't be going back at all, grow up staff
Service was very bad. Could not help with the product I had purchased from our state of SA, knew nothing about this Telstra product.
Don't bother calling them, it redirects to overseas call centre.
Be very careful of Wangaratta Telstra store, the staff are extremely manipulative and don t fully explain the terms and conditions of what they re signing you up to. Very very disappointed.

Unpleasant experience. My brother (14) and I (17) went to look for phones today. We were polite as we walked in and said we are both looking for new phones. Jess, the sales assistant was abrupt and unfriendly, purely making a judgement on our age. When we requested to look at phones she said "but are you 18?" - confusing since buying a phone doesn't have an age requirement. She did not really explain any of the phones, and we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I asked if there were other phones she assumed they would be too expensive and did not show them to us. I understand some youth are disrespectful but treating all young people like they are not genuine customers is rude. We will simply buy phones elsewhere.
The staff member listened fixed my problem within minutes.

Help....We went in to buy a new phone - a Samsung 8 - and came away with an extraordinarily expensive mess that is taking days to fix.
We were given a 'free' Nighthawk modem to connect to the internet. (Its actually not free at $45 a month.)
We were advised that we would not need our present wi fi and on that advice we disconnected it.
But... the new Nighthawk system didn't work in Beechworth and left us with out any internet access at all.
We were assured that our new system would be cheaper..only $150 a month but now we look like paying $250 a month.
Five days later it is still a mess and is becoming very expensive (to get reconnected) and a lot of time consuming phone calls to Telstra to try to sort out this mess.
Jess was very helpful after a Telstra rep had advised me to go to the store to get a purchase made via Telstra Rewards that was faulty replaced. As Jess explained, the store is a Franchise and not a Telstra owned store. She assisted with notes on my record to assist with my issue. I feel for the staff when they are told by Telstra reps to just go to this store or that store not advising that they are privately owned.
Told to wait 45min well over an hour got to talk to them. Explaind that the plan I had brought from them and had the receipts for was not the plan that was on my account. "Nothing to do" with them just go online to sort it out. I brought it from them and they set it up. No help with the issue. Jess was disinterested and completely unhelpful.
Will not be getting a phone at this shop ever again. I purchased a new phone and wanted all apps downloaded to new phone. They said they could do that. After signing for new phone then they said it was $60.00 to download from old to new phone. Rang telstra customer service and they said they aren't allowed to do that.

Young bloke I talked to there was excellent. Really helped me understand what I was looking for in a phone. Would come again just for the customer service.
Walked in to pay a phone bill maybe 1 or 2 other customers waited for half an hour while there were 5 other telstra customer service attendants free including the manager who walked around chatting with colleagues . This is not the first time this sort of ridiculously lazy service has happened.
Signed my partner to a service that was not suitable for her needs. Be sure to take someone with you who is internet literate. The staff is not there to help you......

I know and understand the need for extra health precautions when visiting in store but my experience at the Telstra Wangaratta store yesterday was sub human. Curtesy and general customer care and acknowledgment was replaced with authoritive disregard for customers feelings. Yes be safe but he kind and welcoming too. I walked out of the shop feeling dreadful and decided I didn t need a new phone that badly.
The staff are deciptful, manipulative and arrogant. They hand out faulty phones and take no responsibility for it.
I have a four month old 8+ I went to get replaced. I tried to call the store over 20 times but no answer, so I decided to go into the store in person. (1 hour drive from where I live)
Long story short, they inform me of all these RIDICULOUS new terms and conditions they neglected to point out while going through the process of purchasing the phone. After sitting there for hours, even signing a new contract and being handed a new phone. I am told my four month old phone can t be replaced because it s NOT SIX MONTHS OLD YET!? and if I d like a replacement I have to pay over $300 upfront or wait two months and keep paying my bill for nothing.
If I had been made aware of the things I was today, I would have never signed a contract in the first place.
Today I wasted over 5 hours of my life and ended up walking out of your store with my broken phone in tears.

Always a drama at Telstra but Mel wasn't too bad considering some of the efforts I have had in the past. Doesn't seem to matter how many years of loyal service you give you are still treated as though you just signed up.
Went to sign up for an nbn plan,i was in and out in 30mins.Then home i went.
Horrible experience, completely useless. Went in to purchase a new phone, was served and forced into making an appointment even tho we simply just wanted to purchase the phone. We were told we could buy the new phone outright without the need of a Telstra plan. Came back a hour later and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. We were then told that we actually cannot buy a new phone outright without a Telstra plan, something that if we had been told 2 hours prior when we originally walked in would of saved us a lot of time. Will not be going back clearly Telstra still don't care enough to look after their customers. Poor service.
Left numerous messages - no return call. Had 3 numbers they could ring on and not one message left. Informed Telstra via complaint process, and they took the Franchisee side, sending me an email confirming that they had tried to contact me. Liars!
If you want your wallet liberated of money go here. If it is service you are after try another Telstra shop. The one in Wodonga is fantastic. Pity that the technician who served me (Nick) who was fantastic was let down by the rest of the team.
Principal should look up the definition of customer service, and try applying what he/she reads!
