Tellers Steak house Review

Quality food and our server was was excellent. Might have given 5 stars but asked the bus boys for more bread twice and both times it never came. This place is not cheap so don't go here if you are on a budget. The mac and cheese side is delicious and a great complement to many of the meals. The steak for two is excellent. The crispy Salmon is a great choice for those looking for something that is not steak, warning it is a little on the salty side. Went there for a birthday with a party of 6 and they comped the dessert and have the birthday person a $25 gift card.

First time visit with the wife. This place was great! Start to finish fantastic! Crab cake appetizer...great! Filet and T-bone steaks...great! Chocolate cake dessert...great! Server...great! Nick was polite, knowledgeable and came over the perfect amount of times. It was a bit pricey but the restaurant is Manhattan quality and worth it. They earned 2 regulars tonight.

I loved this place. The food is tasty, quality and the best.
I loved their stake, seafood, and more. I highly recommend the rib-eye with bone in, it's huge, but so great. I like the sweets & coffee too.

A very underwhelming experience to say the least. We had a reservation for 8 Saturday night for 8:30pm, we showed up 15 minutes early and were told there would be a little bit of a wait. We weren't seated until 9:30pm after having to ask the host if she forgot about us.

We sit down and to our surprise there's no porterhouse steaks left...

The fillet wellington was over cooked and as dry as a piece of cardboard...

We were brought the wrong bottle of wine twice and the waitress seemed annoyed when requesting what we asked for...

After a $1000 bill I Don't think any of us will be returning. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is because the restaurant is clean with nice decor.

This place is amazing lunch and dinner are both delicious and the prices are affordable and reasonable. Great place for birthday anniversaries or date night. Nice calm atmosphere and beautiful decor.

Overrated. Second visit and again the porterhouse was like shoe leather and it was charred which overpowered the steak. They are awesome in their attemp to make it right, however, they are not in the game of other steak houses.

Service awesome! Food awesome! Best steakhouse on Long Island. We always enjoy eating at the bar. It is a beautiful and very homey. The bartenders are the best and so are their cocktails. It is a must try!!

Steak, great steak, what else can one say about a mainstay. Bring your appetite and your wallet. Steaks are ala carte.

Doing a great job of hanging in there thru Covid, great takeout experience with discount flasks of undiluted and even sharing size cocktails, market menus of raw meats and sauces to cook at home and more importantly a delicious bone in aged ribeye with a wonderful crust we took home extra rare and devoured. The ambiance of out $7 Ikea coffee table really didn't do it justice but so it goes.

I love this place! Try their lobster mac n cheese and the fried broccoli (not too healthy) but something new and tasty. They have valet parking, a nice and clean place, good drinks, and the price is definitely worth it.

I mean if you're not giving Teller's 5 stars then idk man

High-class! And high-dollar, so be prepared to fork it out. The steaks are amazing though. They have some sides that are unconventional, but still delicious. It's a good place if you're trying to impress your significant other

Great choice for a special occasion or date night. Sleek ambiance and of course the service an food is top notch.

Sides we're good and service decent, but for the high prices all of the meat and entrees are the quality was not worth it.

In my opinion this is the best overall steakhouse in Long Island. I have been here multiple times and the porterhouse for 2 was always spot on. All of their potato related sides were great, as was their mac & cheese. The decor is really nice, the high ceilings of the old bank make it a very unique dining location. Service was also good.

Spent a couple of hundred dollars at this place but I won t give them a dime anymore.
Last time we went here the hostess basically shunned us that we didn t have a reservation. We said we would gladly sit in the bar for an hour... She said ugh ok ... Like it was an inconvenience to her that we wanted to spend money at this place. So we walked out and went to a nearby restaurant. I have spent many anniversaries here and I won t now... Please be careful on who greets your customers and how they do so.

The food was delicious and scrumptious three people my aunt had her own Entre my son and I shared London broil steakplus a la carte for sides 1 drink and 2 soft drinks $200 plus $50 additional post bday dinner with my Aunt and Son. Bring lots of $$$$

Just another steak house with usual steak house fare and usual steak house $$$$. Started with a vodka martini and cosmo. When my dining companion picked up his martini, it got jarred by hitting the menu and spilled about 1 inch of it (very small glass -top shelf vodka-$16) . The waiter took way the menu that got wet and did not offer to freshen glass-we asked it he would top it off and he did-WITH WATER! He probably thought it would be noticed, pretty chintzy considering the bill was over $300 for 2 people. Wouldn t go back, nothing special and the adding water to a drink instead of a splash of vodka showed bad taste.

Last night was my parties first experience at Tellers. When attending an establishment such as this you expect nothing but the best and the best is what we received. First off, our server Willy was hands down the best server I have ever had in my life. Then the food blew us away. We had the shrimp and lobster wontons, the scallops (as recommended by will) and the duck fat fries to start. We then had our main course which consisted of two orders of the ribeye and one beef Wellington. All delicious. Dessert was great too. I loved the experience we had at Tellers and plan on returning again soon.

Went there for V Day, even at 9pm it was hopping so this place is no hidden secret. Set in a renovated bank, you can tell they spared no expense on the renovation, because the place looks fantastic. Nothing bad to say about the service. The Waiter was attentive about a certain food allergy that existed at the table. They have on the menu a bone in Filet Mignon which you don't see everyday. The food was spot on in it's preparation.

Had a very nice birthday dinner experience my fiance treated me to the staff was professional,friendly and very helpful and the food was great

I celebrated my nomination earlier this evening in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a marvelous evening and the venue was indeed one of the reasons for this outstanding gathering. The crew collaborated in a pleasant manner, the meals were delicious and my guests were extremely delighted. We shall absolutely return for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

Fantastic ambiance. Coolest building a steak house could be in on Long Island. Steak could be a tad warmer but the sides make up for it. Really would give it a 4.5 overall (minus .5 for the steak) but I have to round up to a 5. Service is great as well.

Always amazing! From atmosphere to Food and hospitality. Tellers is one of my favorite places. Prices are up there, but its cause its all High Quality.
The Prim Rib as shown was delicious. They also make prefect Vodka martinis.
I can't praise this place enough.

Perfect! The Staff, Food, & Drinks were Perfect and on a Friday at 7pm! (July 28, 2017) Welcoming smile from the Hostess, Nice bartender who made me the best Margareta while we waited for our friends. Then a Great waitress, nice, personable, professional. Most important: The Best Meal, everything tasted wonderful!! Steaks were all done perfectly, and to our order. My friend raved about the fish special she had. The apps, sides, desserts, everything was at its best!
I always have a good experience here, lunch, dinners, Sunday specials, and it gets better each time.

The food is always amazing, service is great n the atmosphere is very nice. Perfect for grabbing a drink and burger at the bar, or an amazing steak dinner. Their desserts are great to!

I had the lobster roll with duck fries and the bacon appetizer. It was reasonably priced.

Spent the evening at this beautiful restaurant. Ate outdoors. The weather was perfect. Waitress was extremely nice. Food was wonderful. The only downside was I couldn't finish my meal. Yes the food was that good. Very plentiful.

Delicious and bountiful. The food is AMAZING. I brought my best friend here for dinner and the service is exceptional. The on site manager came over and greeted us the waiter Pete and Rene was pleasant and Angel went above and beyond to accommodate our request. I would definitely return for a great night out! Remember to come on an empty stomach because you will leave full and tired.

Food was excellent. Only complaint is outdoor seating does not have heaters.

Long wait times, even with reservations. (Over an hour) Lackadaisical server attention and over priced and burnt steaks not worth the inflated prices. Entrees do not include sides and seemed rushed. Disappointed with Lamb, Porterhouse, Filet Mignon. Duck fries & tots were delicious, but contrary to what the server said, the full does not feed 4. Would not recommend until either the service or the food improves.

Great food and service. My steak was perfectly cooked. This is definitely a high end steak house, but well worth the cash! Enjoy it!

Had dinner about 2 months ago food was poor the tables to close together not the Teller's I remember of old went down hill will not return again.

First i want to complement our server Chris P. on his attentive and knowledge of the menu.Secondly we had the $19. luncheon which was delicious from appetizer to entree.This is a great special! I have been there 4x and will continue.

Very classy steakhouse, people come dressed for a night out which isnt too easy to find these days. Great setting in an old bank, inside is very upscale feeling and the food matched it. A very good night out on Long island

This is easily one of the best steakhouses on long island. If you don't believe me come there get the petite filet, lobster mac and cheese with some duck fat fries and you will be in heaven. Of course a glass of cab to wash it down. A+++++

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. It was our first time here & we loved it. The look of the place was amazing, both inside & out. The food was delicious. The service from the moment we walked in was very friendly & nice. Definitely will be coming back.

High end steakhouse with a very professional staff. Portions are generous and food is out of this world. Would reccomend a million times over.

I just left this establishment and this isn t the first time I left this place very satisfied. I took my father in law for his 50th birthday here and he very much enjoyed his Boneless NY Strip Steak as much as I did. We also started with the shrimp and lobster wontons and they were amazing. Billy our server gave my father in law a gift card that was very generous. Definitely coming back.

Excellent lunch prix fix. Service very polished yet friendly. Bread basket lacking but all food otherwise top shelf.

The service was 5 out of 5. The ambiance is dependent upon where you're seated. The best place to be seated is actually inside the restaurant with the high ceilings and windows. The prices are decent but the food is just mediocre. My expectations were high as coworkers and newsday both raved about this place, but the apps were cold, lukewarm at best. The clams were very small and so were the crab cakes. We asked to move in order to get the best seating and they accommodated us nicely. When we sat in one of the booths, the seats were broken so it was kind of uncomfortable. We ordered the wellington which was the size of a baseball. Very small. The fries were nothing special at all. The drinks were okay, but a beer was 10.00. I mean overall I believe it to be way overpriced, i know you pay extra for the environment, but the giant trees aren't real so I'm not sure why such an extra upcharge. I mean, I cant decide if I'd ever go back, probably not with all the other delicious places in islip. The staff was wonderful
