Not as exciting as the reviews make it to seem. Big rooms with some mediocre projection mapping. Can take about 2-3 hours if you want to see everything as you will have to wait in line for some of the rooms. Could be exciting for kids and for someone that haven t experienced or don t know the tech behind it. I expected more.

We had a good time at teamlab just before new year. Don t expect to be blown away by the experience. But it is very well put and well organized. Our daughter who is into design and drawing loved it and liked to interact with the exhibition by submitting her own designs. Our older son was less thrilled. Anyway, definitely recommend to go.

Wow! The interactive, dynamic, multi-room-scale light displays here are unlike anything else we have experienced. Plan to spend several hours to fully soak it up, as the visuals change over time and there are loads of ways to interact that you may not expect
(eg. the growth of flowers from your feet if you wait a moment in some rooms, bursts of petals from your body against a wall, or the schools of glowing blue fish that dart around a person or hand held close to the surface they are projected onto). Hard to explain, awesome to experience.

Awesome place! Just do it! Well worth the effort. Go on a weekday in the morning to avoid standing in line for ages for entry and the 3 speciality exhibits that require timed access. Get a tea at the tea stop inside for something different.

The concept is good the reality is poor. Also it s boring after a few rooms. The site is very clean and the interactive tea room is fun but for me after that. it s very average. Worth a few hours if you ve got it to spare no more.

Awesome! Words can t describe what it is. You really feel like you are part of the light! I enjoyed this more than Disneyland although it s a lot of waiting time here and there. At the Floating Nest they will ask you to take off your sandals.

This place was Amazing. So much to see and do with all the interactive spaces. You can easily spend many hours here. The picture I am including is of a forest of colored rock trees you climb through that make sounds based on the colored rocks you are touching. The trick was to stay on the same color till the end.

Beautiful, creative, fun, moving and so, so immersive. We loved this experience. It really brought a sense of childlike wonder to our day and we can't fault it. The tea room experience was worthwhile too and a nice chance to relax halfway through. We'll be checking out planets next!

Great for 2-4 hours and a really wonderful experience especially if you haven t been to a Teamlab exhibition before.

We did and I think everyone left hungry due to activities that are low-medium physical in nature.

Very beautiful and worth the money but you end up lining up inside the museum which I found a little claustrophobic (unusual for me) as you're in a dark space with A LOT of people. A line for one of the rooms was over an hour so I didn't bother due to time constraints.

..super cool for adults and kids alike..a highlight of our Tokyo family trip. To avoid long queues plan to be in Palette town in the morning, (easy access by train), buy tickets online in advance and go on a weekday to avoid the crowd. you may see snips of our 10-day family tailored trip to Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo in YT channel @kaylaperezrosit

Often stunning, with so much to see, if not nearly as immersive or exactly "borderless" as advertised, but still well worth the hike if you give yourself enough time to explore and soak it all in.

Just be careful if booking online!! I made the mistake of accidentally booking a session at sister site Teamlab Planets instead, and was none the wiser until I was held back from entering and coldly told that a refund wouldn't be possible. I'll own my goof, but judging by the staff's reaction, this must happen aaaaaall the time, yet they do nothing. Definitely put a damper on the experience, but don't let me stop you! Just learn from my mistake!

we did not just get a light show - we got a trippy spectacle experience. this was definitely so much more than expected. be sure to check out all rooms. but there is this one section where you "float" on a some netting, and view the light show above -- this was less than impressive, it felt too short after a really long wait in the queue for it.

Its different experience...very good for getting great pics and amazing views created using lights on walls. Using leds ,lamps, balloons. Even has some activities like walking across...has too many things to do usually you can complete in 4 hours if you are little fast...very crowded most of time..its a good one time experience liked especially by girls...

We only had an hour to explore but we enjoyed it. The dark and loud overwhelming music in some of exhibits might frighten younger kids but once you get to the Athletic Playground, their delight will outweigh the fear. Free coin lockers for storage and just a short walk from the Toyota showroom.
Go early and special at least half a day to get the most of the experience.

Way too crowded for a weekday, can't imagine the insanity on weekends! Had to wait 30 mins to get in then another 30 mins each for 2 rooms, expect double wait on weekends! It's basically a modern funhouse with projectors and mirrors. Not allowed to sit anywhere and workers are somewhat pushy. Due to the wait times, you would need 4 hours here.

Absolutely stunning in every room of the exhibition; would highly recommend budgeting 3+ hours to slowly wander the entire place as the art in each room changes over time. If you arrive early, it would be a good idea to head to the Floating Net exhibit before the lines get too long (40 minute wait at about 14:00). There is also a cafe serving tea and a tasty matcha ice cream in the middle of the museum that definitely shouldn t be missed. Overall an incredibly immersive experience well worth the price and time.

It is nice and all, but going on Marine Day was just so bad. Long queue to enter even with e-ticket (queue was up till the roadside). Even more queues for some of the exhibits inside. Staff were always pushing to queue up 2 by 2 like as if we were school kids. Just so unpleasant. Hard to enjoy when it is super crowded. Better to go on off peak period.

Really trippy exhibits. I'm giving it 5 stars but there are some caveats.

1. Wheelchair and strollers are not allowed.
2. Slightly too expensive
3. Very crowded, try to find off hours to go. Mostly tourists (such as myself)
4. Ticket buying system and entry into the facilities is really poorly designed

We spent two hours here, but I think most people are spending more. We had a very active two-year old with us and so everything had to be accelerated. There is a toddler section on the second floor that was great for our child, but the rest of the exhibits were a bit scary for him, so we had to rush through some rooms. A 4-5 year old would have an absolute blast here.

I've never seen something like this, so it's worth going if you have the time and money.

Fantastic place to visit, very fascinating, however the lines were long & lots of waiting. I believe they allow too many people in. With less people the exhibits could be more enjoyable. They could do with better signage or more maps of the exhibits. Quite difficult to find your way around. All this said, it's still worth a visit if your prepared to wait around alot.

Liked the novel idea of digitally produced light effects. Though the sky show was disappointing, not worth waiting in queue for half an hour. Rest was nice.butterflies which would at my touch actually saddened me.

This was an incredible experience. I booked the tickets online the same morning. Got an e-mail with the QR codes and walked in no problem.
I went with a friend and although we had read that the average time spent there was 3-4 hours, we really weren't expecting to do the same. How wrong we were. 3 hours flew by while we lost ourselves inside this amazing space.
The exhibits were genuinely mind blowing and the seamless transitions made it feel like a different world. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
We went early afternoon on a Wednesday and it was quite empty until around 4:30 and that's when queues started to build for specific rooms.

The photos you see is not the same when you are here. It's not vivid. It looks like your normal projector in the office. But for some reason, your camera makes the photos more vivid and hd vs. Real life.

But definitely it was interesting

Everything is perfect except from queuing everywhere. Even if you purchased the tickets online, if you arrive there one hour later than the opening hour, it took another hour to line up outside of the show before officially entering it. That s a pain.

I thought by going in the late afternoon, and after golden week that would be quieter, but alas there was a fairly large crowd of visitors. Some of the areas are exceptionally good, others are just average.

I'm still confused as to why hundreds of people, including myself, queued for an hour to view the Floating Nest exhibit, it was possibly the worst one of them all.

It's good for pretty pictures but that is about it. Not worth the cost. Also the lines are ridiculous - even once you are inside be prepared for more 30 minute lines for some of the exhibits and to hand over even more cash or you can't even enter some of the exhibit rooms.

Absolutely stunning. I was in there for four hours and only stopped because my legs hurt. Everything is so beautiful, if you let your mind wander a bit it is super relaxing. Some of the artworks can even be interacted with.
Tip: Wear wight (or at least bright, but not neon) clothing, so you can merge with the scenery.

SO COOL! So many unique interactive pieces of digital art. Definitely an experience. Make sure you show up at 10am (opening) because the place was a MAD HOUSE by noon which made it less enjoyable but from 10-12 it was great and I d recommend it to anyone!

Fun and interesting how you interact with the exhibition, we loved it! You should wear some shorts (or they provide you one) because you walk through a pool, also there is a mirror as floor so you may consider not wearing a skirt.

This place is gorgeous. Awesome art lighting display. Recommend to purchase the tickets online prior to your trip in case of ticket getting sold out. Do expect queue for about 20mins to view the forest of lantern exhibit. You get about 3 mins to view and take photo of that exhibit.

Amazing amazing - absolutely speechless with the creativity, light show, and the amount of detail in each corner of the gallery.

Loved every moment that I spent almost 3 hours in there haha!

This place is, in my opinion, one of the best attractions Tokyo has to offer. Tickets are a bit pricy but it's totally worth it. Purchasing said tickets online in advance is a must, since there is quite a long wait in line even if you have them! You should schedule a full for hours in the museum at least. I totally recommend for a magnificient experience.

Awesome experience. Beautiful exhibits. This is a museum that you get to explore yourself. Some exhibits are interactive. Take your time as you guide yourself through each exhibit, it's easy to get lost in the maze of exhibits and you don't want to miss any. Get here early so that you have time to explore and beat large crowds.

Amazing Digital art! There are different rooms to enjoy. From Athletic Forest, BUTTERFLY room, flowers, transparent Humans, cave, etc! Make sure to go through each room! There is also a place for kids to enjoy in the Athletic Foerest!

Magical!!! Incredible lights and showcase. It took us two hours to see the entire museum because of the long lines. It is great for families and there is an athletic section with various games for children. You can also draw or colour art and have it showcased on the projectors-- this is quite cool.

I had the unique opportunity to have followed the launch of this museum on its opening day - it is incredible !
Waiting time was very long however totally worth it. I cannot really say that it is a museum as it is so interactive. From far the best "museum" / "exhibition" I've ever been in my life!
Make sure you buy your tickets weeks/month(s) in advance, let's hope it will not end up like the Ghibli Museum where it is just impossible to get tickets.
Love Digital Museum Tokyo !

A great exhibition let down by terrible customer service.
Loved the art and the experience and spent a good 2 hours here. We didn't choose to queue for the popular attractions, but that was our decision and we enjoyed the rest.
The customer service upon entry however left us flabbergasted and disappointed with our visit. My friend purchased 6 tickets and as we were all arriving seperately distributed them to us (as per the instructions on the website). However when we arrived our codes said that they had already been used. Apparently when distributing the tickets there was a further step that was not made clear to my very careful friend where the QR code had to be reset. After speaking with the staff and presenting the booking details we escalated our issue to the manager. The manager was rude and argumentative and suggested that foreigners often got this wrong and always expected the issue to be rectified and that no exceptions could be made.
TeamLab, we did not try and get in for free. In fact, 2 of us paid twice due to you being so inflexible. If you're suggesting that this has happened to people before then your system may need to be reviewed. We were so disappointed by your manager's attitude that it impacted on our visit.
The exhibition is not worth paying the money we did (twice). Definitely worth paying once. Group bookers, beware!

Amazing experience! Get there early when it opens (10 AM) if you want photos with fewer people in it. Around noon to 1pm, the place was packed (but still extraordinary nonetheless).

Don't wear a skirt or dress because there is a room with mirrors on the floor.

Overall I spent around 3-4 hours in here, taking photos and admiring the digital art.
