It's a beautiful place. It will mesmerize you with its lights and different themes. Every room is different from the other. You can stay in one room as long as you want. The only timed room is the "lantern room." It's color changes from white to yellow. You are only allowed to stay there for 2 minutes. My friends and I needed to line up again to get the yellow color. There is also a room where your kids and even your whole family can draw and the teamlab personnel will scan your drawings and it will be moving on the ground. So much to see! Take a look at the pictures. This is taken from my smart phone.

If you have chance to visit Tokyo, Japan now, you must see this exhibition - teamLab, Borderless.
Projections of images, musics(sound effects) and topography of each chambers are absolutely amazing and harmonious.
The contents which are various with different concepts and ideas made me spend 2 hours in there.
Before 3 pm, you gotta wait approx. 2 hours, so I recommend you to visit there after 3 pm.
One more thing. Be aware of wearing comfort pants and shoes.

The exhibits were good, some long lines, and rather expensive.

They made my partner change out of their doc marten boots (no heel) for the athletic forest, but left me alone with my redwing boots (slight heel). Seemed unnecessary and wouldn't change their minds when we asked to keep boots on.

The most incredible interactive museum I've ever been to. Some of the exhibitions were absolutely breathtaking. This is also a brilliant place to bring kids to - it's full of wonder for them, and almost all of the spaces have been created with thought for children.

TeamLam Borderless offers a magical experience for adults and children alike.

Arriving at the museum at 10:00 sharp for the opening time, still had to do about 45 minutes line to get into the museum. By the time we reached the entrance the line we did was already twice as long! So mi mindful of this.

Once inside you enter an outer worldly environment, with pitch black and dark hallways and rooms were there's only light and your imagination. Here you'll experience something completely unique.

Some rooms have some extra waiting time. The "suspended lights" exhibition (you sort of hang on a net) has a cue of about 25 minutes from were the ramp starts (entrance to the room). The "forest of resonating lamps" exhibition has also a cue of between 25 - 30 minutes from were the stairs start, but the cue can get way longer than that.

The "athletic forest" is by far the most fun for children. There they can run, jump and play in multiple dinamic rooms. There's a fantastic room, the "sketch aquarium" were you can make a drawing of a fish, it then gets scanned and you get to see it come to life in the gigantic digital screen. Amazing stuff.

Without kids it will take you some 3 hours to watch everything calmy, selfies included. With kids maybe add 1 or 2 more hours of playtime.

Incredible experience and worth the money. It was a really busy day due to the rain but we still had an awesome time. This is a great place for kids, there s a whole section that is all kid-friendly and very interactive.

Really worth while! Very different from your usual museum. Make sure to book tickets in advance, they're likely sold out at the door. Going on the weekend is incredibly hard, book tickets about 4 weeks in advance, even in off-season. Book about a week ahead for weekdays!

A museum with no map and no route and the artwork moves from room to room. You get to explore around and discover the different rooms. I definitely recommend that you should rest in the teahouse afterwards.

Amazing!

The whole area of Odaiba is worth a visit.

Over all excellent!! We managed to avoid most lines, no idea how, only lined up for one room (forrest of lamps) outcome - OK to Good, you get a fast minute in the room then they move you on. We waited 30 minutes for one minute of viewing, not long enough to interact with the lights. Some dark places and young kids get excited and you can lose them quickly. Free storage of luggage - fantastic. No cafe/food just drink vending machines. Bring snacks for little ones.

Innovative and very picture worthy exhibit in Odaiba. Lines can get pretty long but move quickly. If you are sticking to a schedule it's a good idea to get your tickets online.

Researching what you want to see before going is a must as the exhibit has no fixed routes or maps so if you should know what to look for to make sure you can find the exhibit you are interested in.

Really nice museum, very well conceived.
All the experiences are worth trying, as the digital environments are all different from each other and never boring.
The visit can take one or two hours.

An excellent exhibition and a really unique experience but it would be nice if the crowds were controlled a little better. We visited in the off season and it was packed. Maybe having timed visits and limiting the number of people inside at any given time to help with the overall experience. A lot of young girls/boys "doing it for the gram".

Such a wonderful and unique experience. Be prepared to spend a whole day inside as there are just so many things to see and do. Be pleasantly surprised when you walk into a room with ever changing art works. Remember to look for the glowing lanterns on the upper level, there might be a queue but it is worth the wait. There is also an athletic forest where you can participate in 3 dimensional bouldering, bouncing on a trampoline, climbing across an obstacle course.

Book your tickets in advance online to ensure that you get entry on the day you prefer as tickets are always sold out early. Don t try your luck at the entrance.

Such an incredible place. A must place to visit when you are in Odaiba. Make sure to buy ticket in advance so you wont need to queue up for 2 times. Kids will enjoy this place as well as adult!

Heard really great reviews about the TeamLab Borderless exhibitions thus decided to pay it a visit. I had gone to the one in Toyosu without realising that there were actually a few in Tokyo - I only found out because I felt that the exhibition ended quite prematurely and there was a few missing exhibitions which I had seen in photos of others. Nonetheless it was still a great experiential experience like never before because the one in Toyosu was the only one that had water displays. But felt that the price (about 30 USD per person) was not exactly worth considering how short it was.

Had such a blast here! Suitable for all ages, the installations and interactive media were mesmerizing. It s easy to get lost because there s no directions and you are meant to wander around so prepare to spend at least 2-3 hours here. Also, do head there early to avoid queues. Some of the queues were at least an hour long so we decided to skip it. Would definitely head back if I m in Tokyo.

So much rooms to explore and interact with, that you would need to take your time and immerse yourself with the experience. Also, wear flat shoes if possible, because heels will get in the way especially at Athletic Forest.

This is a must-do activity when you visit Tokyo! It s best to book your tickets online well in advance, since it s very popular and they often sell out. Arrive early if you can, and expect it to still be busy early in the morning.

There is no map at teamLab borderless, which means you will wander around aimlessly to discover all the artworks (which is part of the fun!). There are so many different rooms to experience - they are constantly changing with the digital designs moving, so it can be slightly disorientating. If you re travelling with a group, you ll probably get separated and lost if you don t stick together! There are flowers, waves, waterfalls, stage lights, animals, balloons and the famous lantern room (which you ll need to line up for) to see across two levels.

Make sure you also have a cup of tea and matcha ice cream upstairs at the interactive tea room, where growing flowers and vines are projected onto your tea in real-time.

They have an area for you to store suitcases whilst you visit the exhibitions.

What a shame. Perhaps they are good at "art" but they are hopeless at operations. On the day we went many people abandoned tickets they had already paid for because it was so poorly organized. They sell too many tickets and they need timed entry to manage the wait times.

Too many tourists, should have timed entry. Can't enjoy anything because all of the basic sheep taking selfies.

Staff keep ramming people in to the museum but don't wait for people to leave before others enter.

Highly recommended for a different artistic experience. The combination of creative projection mapping, interactions and ambient music is really cool. Art moves from room to room, so make sure to come back to a area you've been to before. It feels like a different kind of world! It's better for women to avoid wearing short skirts, as they do work with a lot of mirrors and other reflective surfaces, even on floors.

Amazing experience, one of a kind! I would recommend buying tickets online as it s very popular. Areas such as Forest of Lamps and Floating Nest are very popular and require queuing for 40-50 mins so would advise getting there early.

Amazing art exhibit! There are many rooms to walk in, and since there isn t a guide/map it s always a surprise.

Try to go during the weekdays since weekends are going to be extremely crowded.

The exhibitions are interesting and geared towards Instagram/social media fiends. That being said, come early (slightly before they open) or just an hour before the last entrance time. The crowd will be massive whether it s a weekday or a weekend, and be sure to avoid golden weeks! Good luck. In addition, once you head to the athletic forest (up the stairs), you can go back downstairs but it s a little difficult to find so ask the staff!

It was very busy when we went. Some rooms were very beautiful like the endless lamps (one hour wait) and the Crystal room (huge, no waiting). Did not think the Nest was worth it (one hour wait to watch a 5 minute light show while laying in a net). Very beautiful. Instagramers dream. There is a small cafe with drinks and ice cream. Wish they had done something with their in between spaces. The waiting areas for the big exhibits were just blank black walls. The bathroom was blank. Some of the rooms do change over time and that was neat. One visit was enough.

A spectacle with quite frankly, some jaw dropping visuals. Can get quite congested so recommend going either very early or towards closing hours to be able to wander around at a leisurely pace, otherwise expect to wind and weave through the crowds!

Such an underwhelming experience. This was probably cool when the technology came out but in modern times it was such an disappointment a complete waste of money. They even said No refund at the entrance. I understand why now. Everything in Tokyo has been great, except TeamLab.

Wow just wow! We had a blast there, spent over three hours inside and would stay longer if we hadn't had to leave. Don't want to repeat other reviewers, will only add that second floor has a great area for kids of different ages to play with projections, climb and so forth, they can even draw their own picture and have it scanned and it will travel along the museum. Also, there is a "nest" area where you're supposed to lay down and take in the visual art & music - and that's the only drawback of the museum I could think of. Line to get inside of this "nest" is huge, attendant inside allows maybe 10 min of time per group, certainly not enough to watch a single show - in fact he's not timing it to any show. So if there is a line - don't bother standing, enjoy the rest the place has to offer.

AMAZING!!! This was such a unique experience that I absolutely recommend! Make sure to buy tickets in advance as they sell out pretty quickly. Even with a ticket expect to wait for about an hour or so. Once inside selfie sticks and flash photography are prohibited. While backpacks are allowed you'll probably enjoy yourself more without one. And you'll look better in pictures without it! There are lockers available for you to use.

Expect to spend several hours exploring in here as there is A LOT to see and do. It will be crowded so be sure to bring your patience with you and just enjoy every moment.

I won't say too much because I don't want to spoil the experience for you! Right next door is a super cool hands-on Toyota showroom, a huge Ferris wheel and a Bellagio-esque shopping mall.

Being on my last day there, there wasn't any more tickets. Teamlab was about to close in an hour, and they didnt accept me even though the place was almost empty. They should at least open up tickets availability 1-2h before closing time!

Excellent place to visit for both adults and kids. A visual feast. You will need to buy tickets in advance as it gets sold out pretty fast. As with most popular places around Tokyo be ready to que for a while.

Enjoyable in company with friends or couple,as well
We were like kids enjoying drawing so much! And then seeing it going alive even better

Digital, lights, art and interaction give audiences next level of artistic sensation. People can download an App to play specific theme of lighting performance. Dark room filled with dancing images such as butterflies, flowers, sea waves or abstract art let audiences immerse in it. People slide down a slope to play fruit ninja. I can see everybody enjoying the stay.

Honestly one of the coolest experiences I had in Tokyo. The MORI is an awesome interactive art museum that is simply mind blowing. The detail and beauty that the artists put into each exhibit is amazing and the ability to interact with the art by touching the walls is great. It takes awhile to get through because every room transforms into something different, making every walkthrough a new experience.

Defnitely a great place for kids as well because of all the interactive elements on the top floor, including the 3D bouldering and swinging bridges I included pictures to. The light sculpting was one of my favorite rooms, and a very interesting exhibit. Will definitely come back.

Very nice experience. I really liked the rooms with the hanging LED (especially during rain mode) and the room where you walk through some leaves with the simulated river. But my favorite was the room where you can paint some figures (for example a crocodile) and then they move around the room. Very nice details!

A must visit for locals and tourists alike. You must reserve tickets ahead of time (it was around $3300 I believe?) but it s super easy to do. I recommend going a little before it opens so that you can be one of the first inside. We easily spent 3 hours walking around, taking pictures and exploring the rooms. It s great for families too!

The most popular rooms are pretty underwhelming if you have seen similar installations. Not immersive enough.
But some of the less popular ones like the light sculpture room is really breathtaking. Make sure you stay in the room for enough time to see different shows

Is not open on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month, hours on google do not reflect this. Used up our last day in Japan going out here for no reason to find it was shut. Saw at least 10 other groups within 15 minutes doing exactly the same thing, cringed when I saw a couple asking how excited they are to go to team borderless. The photo is of the only sign showing they are closed right at the entrance.

I would never return. It's a lot of money for what it is. Yeah, it's kind of cool, but it's a lot of the same type of light projections. The lamp room was one of the best, but you wait over an hour for 2 minutes in a room. One of the other things we waited for, also over an hour, was totally stupid, lying on netting over a short movie projection. For kids it's probably great. For art lovers, not so much. I thought it would be way more creative than it is.

It's quite unique.

It's quite unique.
But there are too many people, we were going on weekday and it was very crowded. We were standing in line and had a hard time seeing the line.
The staff is wearing black, so it's very hard to spot them in the dark. The app is pointless to install. Not recommend for people using wheelchairs.

The price is high and too many people

The building is easy to find from the train station. The tickets are easy to buy on the website. The exposition is something that took my breath away. A completely different way of experiencing arts. Even if it was a Sunday there was enough space inside to enjoy the experience. Better to wear comfortable shoes to experience some features inside.

The experience proposed is definitely unique. My wife and I spent 4 hours in there and we left the building satisfied by it. Please beware, you'll need to buy tickets in advance as it is usually sold out. It is also not cheap, 3200 Yen (but again, worth it). If you are not adventurous, you will miss some of the experience, as some of the rooms need a bit of searching. It's a bit like a maze and it's up to you to go find the rooms. There are activities for kids as well and a few rest rooms in the exhibition. For the ladies, please note some part of the building have mirror floors. Don't go in there with a short skirt if you can.
