It's a fun and unusual attraction that's reasonably priced. Don't expect to be totally blown away but it's definitely worth a visit for $30. Get there early in the day and do all of the things that have a line so you won't be stuck waiting inside....

This place is amazing. If you ever want to feel what its like to step into another world, this is probably the closest thing. We explored the place for like 5 hours and it was exciting from beginning to the end. A true once-in-a-lifetime expierience. Sugoi!

Awesome digital art museum. I went there early so I could enjoy some of the exhibits with less people around. People line up before it even opens so plan accordingly. A lot of people seemed to not know but if you download the app you can interact with some of the exhibitions as well. A lot of the stuff is camera worthy and I took my fair share of pics, but it's also nice to let the art sink in while just enjoying whatever unfolds in front of you.

The tickets were a bit pricey but I don't regret going at all. Like many others I expected it to be underwhelming, but it was pretty breathtaking. There were lots of exhibitions to see and experience as well. I must have been here for around 3 hours.

It was predictably very crowded, so lines to certain exhibition rooms could be up to an hour, but it was definitely worth it.

Got this one in Indonesia, but this Tokyo one is must-see... Got more attractions...you have to lining up, but the waiting is worthwhile. Better there early or at night to avoid long queue.

Huge queues for a selfie/ instagram experience. Every exhibition was overly busy, queues of up to an hour to see some lamps for 3 minutes maximum. Zero customer service and zero flexibility when trying to change dates on tickets already bought as the queue was just too big to even bother.

Save your money as the cost of 3200 is not worth seeing this stuff.

The worst place I ve ever been. They let in way too many people so you can t enjoy the rooms. Beside that the projectors are very bad quality and once there is a person standing in front/under it which happens all the time the lights are fully in shadows. Doesn t worth the money and the time!

Overrated. Great for first timers, wouldn't return!
Awed by some of the displays, however wasn't overly impressed. Overly crowded. Don't expect the calm, peaceful vibe expected in a museum. Instead be prepared to rush through the two storied gallery.

Having said that the museum also has some engaging activities that can keep you hooked.

We went after going to Teamlabs Planets! Can say I was truely disappointed after such a great experience in Planets and given that Borderless is the famous and more recognized of the two.
There were 50 minute lines to enter some rooms inside, exhibits seemed old and not as impressive as Planets. Would recommend visiting only Planets.

Such a fun experience. No map, no "rooms". When we asked where certain exhibits were we were told to just walk around "experience the art".

I definitely recommend arriving a few minutes before they open. We only waited in line for three minutes before we were let in. We were able to experience the entire museum in two hours and go into every exhibit.

I recommend trying to do the most popular rooms first: Lanterns, Crystal Forest and the Nest. If you do these first you will not have no wait time. Then you can do the other exhibits at your own leisure. Also the earlier you arrive the less people. We went on a very popular day, Christmas and because we planned accordingly we saw everything we wanted and beat the crowds.

Make sure you book tickets before making the journey out there as it's often sold out. Go early because it gets crowded quite quickly. It's like Future World (ArtScience museum Singapore) on steriods.

The best museum I have ever been to. It is quite unique. There are no maps because their concept is to wonder, explore then discover. It is basically a museum with all of its art pieces made out of light. It is suitable for all ages groups

This is a fantastic place for adults and kids. The light exhibits are awesome. A mix of amazing, relaxing, strange and brilliant. Just walk around as no map and basically find what you want on your own terms and pace. The lamps were my favourite room just absolutely a cool place. I would highly recommend this place. We arrived about 11.30 am and was busy but not crowded on a weekday. Easy to purchase tickets and to find.....look for the big ferris wheel.

It was a sensational experience that I will never forget. A perfect place to take photos and just get lost in the experience. My wife and I arrived around 1300 and just walked in with no line or wait. We left around 1700 and found to our surprise a line that just wrapped around the building with which could of easily been a 3 hour que.

A must visit if you're in Tokyo. A few tips -
1. Book tickets in advance
2. Try to reach the location 15-30 minutes before it opens (there is likely to be a queue already)
3. Once they open, go to the most popular exhibitions and go on it multiple times before it gets crowded (to get the perfect shot)
4. Don't be afraid to ask the staff on where the exhibition is, it will save you a lot of time.

Found this to be a mixed bag. Some of the pieces are mind blowing, beautiful and just cool to see. Some others are more bland, and was disappointed to see some re-use of projections in other places.

Overall was worth a visit to check out, as there are definitely some amazing things to see!

This place loves the camera. If you like photography, or want some unique photos for social media, this exhibit is a must. Keep in mind that is why most people are here though. Lots of people will clog the tighter hallways, and others will stand in the prime photo spots for long periods of time as if it is their personal photo shoot. I went with a night ticket, which has a reduced entry amount, so I can't imagine what it would be like with a full group. The art is amazingly crafted and the unique experiences are unforgettable. Sadly the charm does wear away pretty quick due to eighty percent of the exhibit being projections. Luckily there is a another section that is much more physical, and small rooms for individual art pieces. I spent about an hour and a half and felt like I had seen everything, and appreciated it all. Overall I feel like it was a very well designed exhibit and definitely a change from paintings and sculptures, but many of the pieces were just more of the same.

Love the showrooms, very interesting and absolutely worth a visit. My favorite is the tea room, don t miss it. Prepare to wait in the line for 1-1.5hours, and there maybe more queues inside... go around 5-5:30pm to avoid waiting in a long queue.

This place gives us a surprise. As it's border less as it said. But after the long line, you will need to queue up to enter the nest which is highlight room and limit number of people to get in. This queue might take you up to two hour waiting. So I decided to leave without that.

If you ever thought of buying a projector. Buy an Epson. After visiting borderless, you will want one just to display all the elegant overlays.

Overall it is a great experience. Lines can be long for some of the events. I would 100% skip the bird's nest show.

Amazing experience. Worth the line up to get in. Buy your tickets online in advance otherwise the tickets may be sold out when you get here. We came at about 1500 and the tickets were already sold out. We were there for about 3+ hours and didn't finish it all.

I had booked online well in advance. When I went there on the due day, there was a 1h30 minute wait even for ticket holders. I was not able to wait as I was with someone with a handicap and could not stand up for that long. Teamlab refused any refund. They should sell tickets per time slots rather than one ticket for the day and end up that crowded. Definitely not a good experience, and not worth the cost. I do not imagine that it would be a pleasant experience to be in a place that crowded either.

It was lots of fun, I think I would have enjoyed it much more if there were not as many people there. Also if the staff were less intrusive. And a big thing to think about if you like wearing skirts or dresses, one of the rooms has a mirrored floor. So I would recommend wearing shorts or pants.

This place is really nice right now with limited crowds. I visited a few months ago and while it was nice then it was chaotic with so many visitors and people taking selfies. There were a lot fewer visitors when I went this time and it was a much more peaceful experience. The place took safety measures like requiring masks and temperature checks on the way in.

A very cool but also pretty expensive experience. The art is fun but be prepared to wait in lines and dodge people desperately trying to get instagram shots.
One of the displays was closed for maintenance, but there was no discount in the ticket price.

Amazing experience. You have to see for itself. Lots of crowd. Expecting long line even you purchasednthe ticket in advance.

Unlike any art form I have seen. The story of each exhibition hall creates differences mood. Such a fun experience

The project is interesting, but the overall experience is close to torture.

The developers lack common sense and understanding of crowd control. This might be remedied by selling tickets for a specific time. Instead you buy a ticket only for a specific day, and upon arrival, wait on a long line, outside in the elements, for over an hour. Once you ve been herded inside, you wait on yet more long lines for specific installations, and when you finally get to see them, you re rushed through.

I hope they get their act together. The prices are steeper than any other museum I ve been to in New York, Paris, and Amsterdam. Visiting a museum is a multi-faceted experience, and lack of consideration for the viewer made this one near impossible to enjoy.

If you see only one museum in Tokyo this one is it! Stunning. Like living in a huge interactive screen saver. Make that a dozen screen savers, bleeding into each other. Few if any exhibits are on a simple loop - they evolve, they respond to you. This is the museum for the 21st century brain.

Amazing experience you should definitely check out when you are visiting Tokyo. You can order tickets online on their homepage and when we arrived at 11 am there is no queue at all. We got in within 10 minutes. Remember to wear flat shoes as the floor is not even inside.

Not against teamLab being popular and loved by everyone! But some of their work simply don t work with a room full of people, such as the forest of lambs . Mori should limit the visitor number to ensure visitor experience but not push people through like cash cows.

This place was amazing! I came here during the Fall of 19 and it wasn t too busy. So many different rooms where you can take pictures. Some are more packed than others, but it s worth the wait.

Interesting idea and the digital display is indeed captivating but the price is a bit dear, and it's not very intuitive so you end up going around in circles. But worth the stop if you are in Tokyo.

So cool. Get there super early (before it opens) unless you want to be queing for hours. I'm only giving it 4 stars because of the length of ques outside and inside. They really should change the tickets to timed entry

TeamLab Borderless is a place that both adults and children alike would enjoy. There are some attractions with ~1 hour waiting time like The Nest and the Floating Lanterns room but there are exhibitions along the waiting line to keep your mind off the long wait.

We had seen many photos and videos from friends that had gone to teamLab. We were underwhelmed when we first went in and I felt a bit confused with what some of the art work was trying to portray (maybe I was looking too deeply!!)
Our mind quickly changed when we entered the LED lights room. I didn't snap any photos as I was in awe! We even got a little lost at one point!
The dandelion room and parade were also favourites.
The many selfies in inopportune places were the worse part and that is not teamLabs bad.
UPDATE: Wear flat shoes!!

What a great, modern, and futuristic approach to art exhibitions. Every artwork moves from room to room and each room is unique, offering different interactivity and experiences. Really enjoyed myself.

It is almost impossible to ever capture the experience by photographs, you have to experience it firsthand. It was nothing like any art exhibitions I've ever been in.

Amazing light works of art! Come in early and find the best light display because line could be very long at times. Only thing I didn't anticipate was the headache inducing effect of the moving lights.

Fun time but be prepared for lines and waiting in line for a bit. Worth checking out but go early if possible. There were a lot of children when I went that kept running into me so just be aware of your surroundings!

Such a disaster. Spent 90 minutes getting there first thing in the morning only to be told I couldn t enter until after 4pm. Might be worth adding a note on that on your website. I watched so many people in the same situation being turned away.

If you're visiting Tokyo (or live there), you must visit teamlab Borderless. Buy your tickets at least one day in advance because it will be sold out. We got there by 12pm and there was a line but it moved pretty quickly (we waited for 15 minutes). The crystal LED room and the Athletic Forests were the best parts. Make sure you wear flat shoes and shorts/pants as there are a lot of uneven surfaces and several of the rooms have mirrors everywhere including the floor (they have black shorts for you to wear in some rooms). They have a lot of interactive exhibits that are fun for both children and adults (they have a little area for infants too in the athletic forests). Note: If you are sensitive to lights and music, then you should not visit this place (it will be sensory overload). Also pregnant women are not allowed in some rooms for safety reasons.

Come early because the line is super long and because you would want to spend the whole day in order to enjoy everything that is inside. Highly recommended attraction. You will enjoy the lights and the interactive features. The entire place is amazing. Make sure to buy your ticket because a walk-in doesn t assure you can go in if the museum is already sold out for the day.

Kind of a unique place. Some pieces can be described as animated art . Approximately half of them is interactive and not only fun to play around if you are a tech savvy guy. There are also a couple of activities for children, which in my view are well done

Wow wow wow!!! This is a must see and do in Tokyo! Went there with husband and teen son. Get tickets in advance and prepare for large crowds. Also prepare to be there for a long time! Things change and morph. You will constantly be amazed! Enjoy!

This place is something else. Breathtaking experience. I went there with two kids (2 and 5) and the kids area is amazing. Just head up to first floor (ask one of the friendly guides to find it). Highly recommend, would like to go a second time.

Amazing work and creative expressions. Im glad to have the opportunity to expose my daughter to the visions of the near future. Wish the app we downloaded were more user friendly, but it was a good visit.

An experience which is hard to describe, not exactly a museum or interactive piece, but more like an exhibition of digital artworks, some of them encompassing many rooms.
It is very interesting to see the range digital technologies can go to to create experiences and sheer work that goes behind an endeavor like this.
I would not say it is a must, but if you are in Tokyo and have time it is a great attraction to come to, and you ll get some instagrammable pictures out of your visit too.
Personal tip: The Floating Nest is a very crowded attraction, but not really worth the wait so you can skip it.
