Great island with many nice places. Our personal highlight was the upstream sandbank with the many stingrays. Here you could run on about knee high water between the ray swarms and watch these unique animals.
Not much culture with tourist pricing, but beautiful place.
Oh, it is so fun visiting Grand Cayman from a Princess Cruise. The people on the Island are very friendly. They have the most colorful chickens.
By far the Best Island that I been to. Warmest clear water that I've been to. Even better than Hawaii. My next trip will definitely be to the Grand Cayman Islands. Plus for me they spoke English. I definitely would recommend this Fantastic Island getaway. You won't be disappointed. Give it a try.
Always a safe, clean, nice Island. Plus your cell phone works very well, they take all credit cards
Great people. Gorgeous water. Nothing cooler than meeting stingrays in the wild.
Loved it here in Grand Cayman! One of the places I can retire in! Beautiful beaches, clear blue waters, friendly people, very beautiful! Would love to visit again!
My group really enjoyed Stingray city as I was perfectly content sitting on the boat watching them from a distance. Also took a cab to 7 mile beach for just a couple dollars. I love Grand Cayman because it is more like being in the states than other islands like the Bahamas and Jamaica, but the scenery is just as beautiful.
Lennox is a great guide very informative. Wish I had more time
Grand Cayman Island is great for swimming and snorkeling. The waters were clear like a swimming pool. My favorite port on our cruise.
It is a fairly tidy and clean town. The fact that it is big restricts the area of sightseeing. Excellent marine, great combination of corals and sea creatures. It is absolutely necessary to participate in the Vatoz turana.
Overpriced..You're Not treated with respect at certain places... Quite a few injustice.. After a while it becomes very expensive and boring..
Beautiful everything ... White sand beaches ... Crystal clear water ... the vegetation and infrastructure in the tourist area is beautiful
Beautiful island, great people...will definitely go again
Thank you all for your help. I put the wrong time for my flight. The staff emailed me, but I didn't see it until minutes before the pick up time. It worked out and I made it to the airport swiftly and safely.
I like grand cayman island, to fresh my mind just go around near the port
I Loved this place. Been many years & I ready to go back.
Lovely Island, lots of stores, taxes paradise, white sand and clear blue sea, definitely a place we want to come back soon.
This was a stop during my 7 day cruise... RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE... Otherwise a really nice & clean looking place. But I only saw the cruise tourist area.
Fantastic island to visit with lots of wildlife walking freely everywhere. Chickens, iguanas, sea creatures and birds. Especially loved Starfish Point where you see plenty of starfish and tropical fish. And a trip to Hell is a must do. A relaxed a laid back week. And a rum tasting tour is a must
A clean, organized, upscale and safe Carribbean island.
Cayman Island ... very well.carey stores and great prices ... perfumes and brand and jewelry stores
Lovely people and place to visit. Has a large number of banks too....
The waters are clear and a visit to swim with the Manta Rays has to be up there with the best experiences.
George Town is the capital of the Cayman Islands. It lies in the west of the largest island, Grand Cayman. It s known as a financial hub and a port of call for cruise ships. Tax-free shops cluster around Cardinal Avenue. The Cayman Islands National Museum is housed in a 19th-century building on Harbour Drive. It contains displays on local history, culture and wildlife.
The expansive waterfront here is open to the public, making it possible to walk the full length of the shore regardless of where you re staying. Taking a stroll, you ll stumble on restaurants at the resorts and several beach bars. Seven Mile Beach encompasses so many different activities. Whether you want to work on your tan and watch the waves roll in, or partake in some parasailing, Seven Mile Beach gives you every chance to enjoy what Cayman is all about.
At Stingray City Grand Cayman Sandbar you will enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity swimming with stingrays! Snorkel, pet, feed, and even kiss these wonderfully agile and friendly Southern Atlantic Stingrays! The water at Stingray City Sandbar is only 3ft 4ft deep (about waist high) so you will be able to stand, making it perfect for non-swimmers and swimmers alike.
From Stingray City Sandbar, you will make your way to the beautiful Barrier Reef for a snorkel. See the plentiful coral and small tropical fish that inhabit the area. The water at Barrier Reef is less than 15ft deep, and is ideal for people who are snorkeling for the first time. Your captain and crew will always be on hand to assist you.
Best Carribian point with extraordinary stingray sity tour
This is our 4th island to visit. Ranks up there with Cozumel, Hawaii and St Thomas. Great snorkeling, beaches and food. My order of favorites are: 1 snorkeling, 2 sting ray city (don't miss this opportunity for something different), 3 bioluminescense bay. Starfish point is cool. We went there by car. Close parking. Rum point is fun. Great snorkeling past the point. Very nice vacation.
My favorite destination. Beautiful island, friendly people, and safe!
Grand Cayman is beautiful. Would go back in a heartbeat.
I loved the Caymans. Make sure to go as waste free as possible while here!
We came aboard a cruise ship, qe had to port to the island, it takes a while to get on and off especially if you wait to long and get caught in the rush back to the ship. Nice place to hit the beach or take an excursion out and swim with the sting rays. It can get intense they swim into your legs.
Simply spectacular, very friendly people. An island with a lot of charm and clear waters
The main reason I love going to Grand Cayman is because of the water and scuba diving. Other than that I don't find all that much that excites me here. Relatively flat island with little trees or growth of any kind. No mountains, barely above sea level. The main attraction is stingray City. I am not all that enthused with Stingray City. Nice beaches nice people. Dove on the USS Kittiwake. Nice dive once but nothing remarkable or worth going to twice.
Grand Cayman is beautiful in February! As my opinion on travel in general, GO when you can go, make up your own mind if you like a place, or not, and see AS MUCH as you can see of this world and its people!
Beautiful islands. Very safe. Friendly locals. My absolute favorite vacation spot!
Enjoyed my visit to Grand Cayman Island. Water is very clear and you can see lots of wildlife close to shore.
I love the island. Not only for the beauty of its beaches, but also for its people. !!! Divine spend a week there.
I really love this place!!!! Nice people, laid back environment.
Another stop on our cruise. It's a good day trip , local shopping and tour offered
Expensive island. Not a lot to do. Won't visit again.
Needs work on hospitality but other than that a beautiful place
I've seen the most beautiful water in my life so far.
Beautiful island. Great tourism area for cruisers. I will go back
Very beautiful tropical island with lush greenery and controlled wildlife. A millionaires playground and vacation destination. Also known for its world class financially services depot and renowned tax haven.
Best island in the Western Caribbean. It's friendly, safe, beautiful, and the food is awesome.
We loved our trip to Grand Cayman. We had kids with us and everyone had fun. It was the perfect balance - lots of activities to do and a relaxing atmosphere. I booked some activities in advance but I found out I wouldn't have needed to - it was easy to book things on the fly and nothing was filled up even though it was a busy season (summer). It was a really easy island to get around by car, using just the map that was provided by the car rental company.
There were two major things that we found a surprise. First, the food was even more expensive than we expected even for a tourist destination - especially produce. The grocery store will definitely help rather than going out to eat. We had a place with a kitchen and that saved us especially with a big group. Second, there was almost no service available using Verizon (apparently nobody there uses Verizon) and the Wi-Fi would be of mediocre to unusable quality almost everywhere, even the paid Wi-Fi at the resort. So, plan accordingly. The biggest thing I was concerned about when we found out the phones weren't working was being able to navigate (Google Maps), but it turned out that wasn't an issue since it was so easy to get around the small island just using the paper map. We took the opportunity to explore the grocery store and be "off grid" (internet-wise).
Our major activities were StingRay City, swimming rides on horses, parasailing, and lot of snorkeling and beach time.
We will definitely be considering another visit.
Had a great day exploring the island from the turtle farm, rum tasting and cake at Tortuga distillery. ($15 a litre to buy rum at the shop) followed by a trip to Hell !! Not much there, more of a tourist spot but write a postcard from hell and post. Ours arrived 2 days later to UK !! People so friendly at this spot. Make sure to see the craters inspiring hell at the back of the post office.
Caribbean at it's best. Beautiful beaches with turquoise water. Lots to do here swim with stingrays, turtles or dolphins, snorkeling, scuba and snuba. Of course tons of shopping. We spent all our time on the white sands of Seven Mile Beach. How relaxing!
Beautiful country with nice people, great atmosphere and nice beaches and most importantly nice hot whether
