Middle of nowhere this place suddenly springs out. And it's very cool. Huge aquarium with big fish in a two story building, dam full of norwest snapper, but the piece de resistance is the "shark lake", a donut shaped dam full of big sharks. Kids will go nuts for it. Good talks and displays, quite interactive, if you are in the area have a look. Won't be disappointed.

They have a great system of doing a continuous guided tour around the aquarium, you join in at whatever point they are at when you arrive and when they reach the end, another guide will take over and continue the tour from the start, so you don't miss anything. It takes roughly 1 hour.

The guides are all very knowledgable marine biologists/scientists and very friendly with the info they give and with answering any questions.

Donny? the turtle was great to see, and he/she played well to the cameras.
The shark feeding was also very well done and is done on every rotation of the tour.
It was also great to see sea snakes and other venemous and dangerous sealife.

Although we didn't have any food or drink from the cafe, the selection was good and the cakes were very tempting.

I'd have given 4.5 if I could, only negative is that some tanks or areas look like they could do with some cleaning or upgrading. I'm sure they have this in mind!

Ocean Park was originally a pink snapper hatchery and has evolved in to the aquarium it is today.

Excellent marine scientists give a guided tour of the tanks explaining interesting facts about each aquatic creature. The tour takes about an hour. You are free to then wander around to look further.
The cafe has good food for lunch.

An lovely compact aquarium focusing on the local marine environment. Almost all exhibits are open tank affording you a great view of the fish and other marine life.
One of the marine biologists working the will constantly be performing a tour, just hop on when you arrive and you'll eventually get to set everything (take about 1 hour). There are very few signs so you'll need the tour to appreciate the exhibits.

The staff were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and really made the experience a memorable one.

There is a nice cafe with a great view connected to the aquarium. They also do excursions into the bay although you need to book this in advance.

Very friendly and informative staff who provide information on the various fish species in a fun and interesting manner. The animals here are well taken care of and are kept in generously sized aquariums so they are very easy to view.

A small cafe is situated here along with plenty of parking. It would be nice if they kept a wider variety of marine life but otherwise a worthwhile visit.

Awesome place to visit. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and take their time to explain everything in the aquarium and how we impact and can help our marine ecosystem. Wish we had gone earlier in the day as the menu looked excellent. Thousand times better than wasting time and money at Money Mia - (don't get me started).

Tour guide was excellent, very friendly staff and very welcoming. Only downside is the food, $20 for a pulled pork sandwich, 2 bits of bread, pork and coleslaw with chips. No dressing or sauce. Quality should reflect pricing.

Nice place for kids. Fun and informative. Staffs were so friendly. If your kid is a curious champ or an animal lover, it's a must visit. Staff encourage their curiosity and questions.

However it's a small aquarium. Sharks are the highlight + some sea animals and fish in around 10 tanks. It's only around 1 hour guided tour around the place. Dogs are allowed which is a bonus point. However I felt $27 per person entry fee was a bit too over priced for this place. Adults may not find it too entertaining.

What a cool place to visit! Converted fish farm, now an aquarium. Was very cool to see the sea snakes doing their thing up close and personal, shark feeding was awesome and the big fish tank was my highlight, being so close to big snapper and black mulloway. Our guide Russell was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions. Must visit here if you are in the region.

We arrived around 2pm for lunch and missed the rush. They had sold out of quite a few menu items so we ordered the Seafood Platter for two. It was delicious, cooked to perfection with a great variety of seafood. It was more then enough to feed two people, the squid was to die for! We will definitely be back!

Not what I expected. They focus on getting the animals better then letting them go rather then something big and flashy. The staff were very knowledgeable and took their time to answer questions. We arrived before a tour so decided to feed our baby. The lady taking the tour came to us to say don't rush, whatever you miss I'll catch you up and she actually did!

I have been to aquariums all over the world but I enjoyed Ocean Park aquarium the most of all. I was sceptical at first, but we had such a good time. There aren t massive walls of glass and there aren t millions of fish, but there also wasn t hundreds of people and it wasn t overly commercialised. The experience of getting close to the exhibits was genuinely exciting. The tours are relaxed, but informative and the types of animals they have were very interesting. I will never forget looking down as the sea snake lifted its head out the water and took in the people standing around the pool. The aquarium is a credit to the owners and staff.
