Excellent, smaller museum containing British history and art in Westminster neighborhood. It is right next to the Hilton Doubletree Westminster and about 3 blocks from Pimlico tube station on the Victoria Line. Enjoyable visit!

Not to be missed during your lifetime. One of the best art collections in the world, well-displayed, constantly changing and with free guided tours.

The art work is so good, I haven't included any pictures of it here, just one of the most delicious, healthy snacks that I had at the equally excellent Tate restaurant.

A work of art in itself!

It's the first time I've been to Tate Britain in a while, and wow! The new Turner wing is huge and shows the glory of his work. There's also a collection of Henry Moore pieces which are deeply moving. The main collection is now arranged in chronological order. I visited the Don McCullin and Van Gogh shows which were both in large spaces and well organized.

Give yourself several hours or make multiple trips.

Love the old building with high ceilings, gives it a real sense of relaxation. Nice exhibitions with more classic artists exhibiting here such as Henry Moore and Lowry. The private exhibitions are great too. The Tate events are always super fun and free.

Went to a photo exhibition. This is the real deal- a truly comprehensive experience covering the gamut of artistic endeavour. Along with its sister the Tate Modern, two of the jewels in London's cultural landscape. It's a close call but I'd come here rather than the V&A personally. Worth being a member too.

I enjoyed visiting the gallery. Break the visit with a coffee. I usually plan ahead and decide w
hat I want to view. Sometimes I find it easier to concentrate on a couple of areas and there's always an opportunity to revisit another day

The guided tours are very informative. Wide collection of art with quite abit of modern art pieces if that s what you re into.

If you like impressionist art though do make a trip to the National Gallery as well!

This is an art gallery for William Turner. Many of his works and works by British authors dominate.
There aren't many famous works, but if you're curious about British art, it's worth a visit. Otherwise, I don't recommend it very much.

We went specifically to see John Waterhouse - Lady of Shallot but found out from staff that she has gone on tour to Australia! So I can't give a full five stars as that did disappoint us. That said we enjoyed looking at other art and enjoyed lunch in the Cafe, there is quite a varied lunch selection we chose chicken, avocado salad meal in a recyclable dish. The building is stunning despite evidence of World War II shelling on some of the exterior walls which in itself was interesting.

My first visit here, and I was very impressed by the building itself. Had only intended to see the free entry exhibition 'Assetstrippers' and the permanent galleries, but was drawn into the photography collection by the detailed timeline on the wall.
The exhibition itself was well worth the money, and the time spent there; and it was a timely reminder of the atrocious human conflicts of our time, highlighting the ease with which humanity lashes out in anger, hatred and violence against 'the other'. The palpable horror, pain and suffering captured by the lens and the heart, were heart- wrenching. Lessons to be learnt.

Tate Britain and the comprehensive retrospective of the legendary British photographer Don McCullin. I urge you to visit this most important exhibition before it finishes on the 6th of May 2019. It is sometimes tough, harrowing and brutal. It shows human nature at its worst and sometimes best over the last 60 years. However, the photographer Don McCullin is a simply a genius in capturing human frailties and drama. A collection of photograpic art that puts our comfortable 21st century lives into perspective.

Tate Britain is an easy bus ride from Whitehall/Trafalgar Square end (no. 87). Across the road from the busstop, the easiest way to the ticket desk is to ignore the entrance up the steps. Turn left past the park benches and then right along the side of the building; the basement entrance is down the sloped steps. Tate Britain covers British art from the last five centuries, though some exhibitions do include pieces from other countries. Worth a visit.

It has reasonable dimensions, which allow you to visit it in its entirety in an hour and a half. I suppose that the general public values the collection of paintings more than that of sculpture: at least that has been my case.

Went to see the Van Gogh exhibition it was amazing to see his pictures up close. Well worth the visit and the price. It's a lovely building just to go and visit is a treat then a lovely walk along the embankment. Good for the soul.
