My first visit here, and I was very impressed by the building itself. Had only intended to see the free entry exhibition 'Assetstrippers' and the permanent galleries, but was drawn into the photography collection by the detailed timeline on the wall.
The exhibition itself was well worth the money, and the time spent there; and it was a timely reminder of the atrocious human conflicts of our time, highlighting the ease with which humanity lashes out in anger, hatred and violence against 'the other'. The palpable horror, pain and suffering captured by the lens and the heart, were heart- wrenching. Lessons to be learnt.
