Always a pleasure to visit this national treasure trove, especially at Christmas when the exterior is decorated by an artist on a grand scale. The current exhibition Edward Byrne - Jones is a real treat.

Small, not overcrowded museum, with not so well-known paintings. Still very beautiful works of art; the Lady of Shalott alone is worth the visit. Be sure to pay a visit to the cafe in the museum!

There are many precious paintings in Britain.
When I went here, a mysterious performance was held.
I didn't understand it.

I am a big fan of the tates. Iconic art and culture displayed to the public for free. What can be better? Tate Britain is no exception and houses some amazing pieces and exhibitions every time you visit. If you like art why have you not been here already. Other than the obvious art pieces the Tate Britain is famous for housing just about anything from 18th century factory machines to planks of wood from infamous ships. You name it, they have it somewhere

Phenomenal art museum. Very well set out art gallery with fluidity throughout. The gallery hosts an exquisite J.M.W Turner collection. The staff are lovely and are always more than happy to help.

Wonderful space for the general collection and an interesting special exhibition with 5 or 6 standout stunning paintings by van Gogh. Definitely worth several visits to take it all in and the boat trip to Tate Modern is great fun!

Hidden carrot cake restaurant. Don't forget to stop by the cafe in the basement.
Best place to enjoy pre-raphaelite works. Also, you should not miss Sargent's'Carnation Lilly Lilly Rose'. You can also enjoy decent Carrot cake at the cafe.

Beautiful and amazing access. Lively program of events, wide range of art from various periods. Not too much to overwhelm but more than enough to give a flavour of art in Britain from Elizabeth I to the Turner Prize. One of London s most beautiful disabled loos in the 2nd floor members room.

Visited Friday 21 Sep 2018 between 2.45-3.30pm and had an excellent experience. Good number of visitors, not too busy. Benches allow for a rest while viewing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Gift shop has a good range and toilets were clean and tidy. Seemed family friendly and had some art supplies out for people to have a draw themselves. Didn't visit cafe. In future i would time my visit to attend a walking tour - check website!

A museum made in particular for all lovers of the sea: Turner is THE painter of the sea. But yours are not simple marines , of which there are pir thousands in the world. Turner is the great painter of the sea but also of the deepest ocean, of the great waves and storms, of the wind and the light on waters in constant movement. Safety pin.

I honestly expected more from such a famous museum of modern art. Boring, bare, uninteresting. The correspondent present in Liverpool is much more beautiful. I honestly don't recommend it as it turns out to be almost a waste of time on a day trip to London. A pity indeed.

A lovely experience going to the Tate Britain. I am heading here on a school trip this week so went to scope the place out beforehand. This was a good idea as some of the art may be inappropriate for younger artists in the making. We had a lovely walk around and then a drink in the cafe downstairs. I hope my experience with 90 school children is the same.

Being on the north bank of the Thames, we immediately directed our steps to the Museum of British Art. This museum is simply a classic. Inside the atmosphere like a movie! William Turner's landscapes are a championship! To this day, we also remember the work of Ophelia - one of the most famous paintings inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Great to come back to the Tate Britain- a wonderful, serene gallery - and the Don McCullin retrospective was excellent. I will return to see it soon, and hopefully use more Members' facilities!

World's largest collection of J.M.W.Turner paintings, and home to Francis Bacons triptych, 3 figures at the base of a crucifixion. The Tate Britain is mandatory viewing if you are in London for a few hours.

Protip: Their collection of Waterhouse paintings are on loan as of Oct 2019.

The security staff are outwardly hostile, humorless, and will take any opportunitiy to escalate a situation. I've never experienced anything like it in any other gallery I've been to.
