I was really surprised by this gallery. It s a bit of an odd location, and I was just passing by on a Sunday. I imagine parking could be a nightmare on other days.

Really eclectic mix from 1500s all the way up to contemporary. Great reflection of British art. Also, a really great space. Lots to enjoy about the building itself.

I really enjoyed the costumed actor as part of the central piece as well. The Art Now installation was a bit off-the-wall, but I d definitely recommend.

One of the best museums/galleries in London. Generally very quiet as most people go to the (in my opinion inferior) Tate Modern. Just walking to this museum is lovely if you go down along the river through the park beyond Westminster. The museum/gallery itself has been renovated beautifully. The architecture of this building alone is stunning. And then there is the incredible collection of artworks from modern installations to great British classics. Well worth a visit. Also, child friendly.

A lovely Turner exhibition, but also a nice choice of pre-Rafaelites paintings. I loved the idea of chronological presentation of the history of British painting, there are several amazingly beautiful 16th century paintings. The museum organises free talks around a work of art, I believe during weekends, watch out for the time slots.

Amazing to be able to get up close the paintings and compare techniques.
Being allowed to capture details with a photograph was really valued - the British Baroque exhibition was unusual in that only 2 paintings were off-limits.

Stunning collection of British paintings and usually first rate exhibitions. Perhaps best to focus each trip on one aspect of art. I looked at Landscape. The Walk Through British Art is a selection from the permanent collection and occupies the outer galleries. The rooms ajacent focus on particular styles or genre. If you want to see the special exhibitions, best to get yearly membership. It will pay for itself in 3 visits. The Clore Gallery was built in the 1980s and fulfilled Turner's Will that his work should be on display to the public in one location. There is also one room of superb Constable's, contrasting ways of approaching Landscape.

The Tate Britain is a gift to Londoners and tourists alike. I love visiting and wandering its stunning galleries, exploring history, philosophy and stories through artwork. The garden and cafe are a must-visit too! Beautiful interior and exterior, fantastic curation and an unforgettable experience.

To tell the gallery is one of the most visited places in the context of the European culture and everyone who has interest should consider it for himself. I am wasting 2 days. Free entrance. Working hours from 10 to 18 include free guided tours in certain times. Everything is found on the gallery's website.

Went to see the Don McCullin exhibition at 3.30pm on a Saturday. Exhibition was very well curated; very moving and informative, although somewhat harrowing. The only thing to ruin the experience was the sheer volume of people. We were queuing to view the photographs. I think the Tate needs to review their entry capacities.

Great gallery and a must-see for anyone with the slightest interest in art.

I was surprised to find that (based on the main exhibition, Walk Through British Art) British art didn't start until 1545, and even then for a long time was only produced by Dutch / Belgian / German etc artists who moved to Britain.

Beautiful museum with British art, Turner's paintings collection exceptional. In addition to the beautiful works on display, even the building itself is valuable. Inside you can also eat both self-service and restaurant, according to their pockets.

well I like art so I'm going to be biased but I did enjoy it. it was fairly quiet when I was there, so I was able to enjoy the paintings. There are good transport links - there are several buses passing the bus stop that is a minute's walk from the museum entrance.

There are collections from 1545 to the present, and I like the chronological order of each exhibition hall, so that visitors can savor the flatness of painting skills. There is also a painting by Turner, a sculpture by Henry Moore. The Spotlights show is William Scott of Oldham+Colin Johns The Black House.

Getting worse and worse.

Getting worse and worse.

Timed entry for everything
Huge queues
Rude staff
Overpriced

Won't be renewing my membership!

The museum where she is located in the photo.
There is an anecdote that she, who was a model in this picture, had a big cold while posing in the water.
A wide range of works from British artists to contemporary art are on display.
Above all, the staff is helpful and friendly!
