Love coming here on date night! The food and drinks are moderately priced, the acts are typically fun, and meeting new people at your table is even more fun. Their food...is bar food. The potato skins are super skimpy, wings are good, grilled cheese is good, artichoke dip is good, service is generally good. Arrive an hour prior to your show for a good seat and early eats.
This is really fun place to go in Tampa. They get some really good comics sometimes. The club is pretty nice except the disastrous bathrooms! The tables are packed pretty close to one another on the bottom floor. If you have a party of two I think you can get placed at a table with other people. There is a minimum food and drink purchase, at least when I have been there. The crowd tends to be fairly young - 20s and 30s (I think Tampa is a young city in general and it may be a function of the comics that I see). I usually pay to park in the nearby garage. There are meet and greets with the comics after the show, in the entry room with the bar.
Great comedy theater with plenty of famous and local acts that are hilarious. They offer lots of deals if you are a frequent visitor or join their lists and promotions. They are also one of very very few comedy venues that do not have a two drink minimum, which is a great plus for pre-gamers or non-drinkers. Service is great. Their food options are not great, but they are well above average for a comedy venue.
Food is really expensive for what they gave you but the show was good.

Terrible terrible terrible food service! I was the first person to be seated and the last person to be served food the entire room got served before me! Had to get up & go to kitchen to ask three times where my food was and it still didn't get there so I had to go talk to the manager. The manager was nowhere to be found had to ask for him two times! Didn't get our food until more than halfway through the show when everybody else had been served. Not that great of food either, got the three different types of chicken plate and fries. Get it together people!!!!!
Food and drink service was poor...we cancelled the food order after waiting 45 minutes for our drinks and an hour for the food. An 18%gratutity is premature for the service provided...
Food ok but can t laugh loud unless you in the front by stage where the comedian at, sercurity standing by us so we couldn t take pictures workers coming to our table bothering usjust was not a good experience for me I need to be at a bigger Gallery soo 2thumbs down for me
It was small intimate great show staff was excellent food was magnificent drinks could be a little better but everything else was on points I had a great time Tommy Davidson still got it
The comedians were fabulous! Kate was beyond awesome!! Loved the audience involvement! Was extremely disappointed with the service and the female server bc this was my first time@improv (also my bday) we told the server we wanted waters to start.. her response was "well if that's all you order I have to charge you .75 each" that's fine we said she brought the waters sat them down.. and walked away.. wow really!! This was way before the first comedian was finished. After that she never returned to our table...YES there were two other servers around my table.. why do I need to stop one of them..?? She was waiting on 4 other tables around us!! Dang man it's my birthday, I wanted nachos and a drink or two!! And I left right after the show without saying hi to comedians bc I was so hungry!! I will be back, however I am not pleased with my very first visit!!! I would love to give you five stars! You better believe I sure as heck will be back, I laughed my butt off!! Really hope next time its different!!

Saw Chris D'elia here. Great show, very intimate! Be ready to get in line a bit early if you want to ensure a good seat up close. The bar opens a bit before the show, and then another line sort of forms in the bar.

The hostess tonight (6/1), was some chick with cornrows who attempted to argue with me because I stated my tenders from my last show were dry. I was answering my friend, not speaking to her. But apparently she took offense to a conversation she eavesdropped on. Yes, my experience with my food here was terrible and I m entitled to my opinion. She was unprofessional. Otherwise it was a decent show and our server was amazing.
I went for the Wednesday's open mic. I thought it was a really good idea to give local comedians some space. It starts every Wednesday at 8:45 pm. I think there is no food available but drinks. If you are looking for some laughs, this is definitely an option.

Comedy was great, but show time was at 10:00pm. We waited outside in the heat for 30 minutes after show was suppose to start. When you purchase tickets they tell you be here an hour before hand. To do what stand outside in the heat. Horrible!!!!!!
Good time and everything but my complaint is that my server never brought my change back. It was only $5 and some change, but after already having a $15 tip from me, I would have liked my $5 back. Plus he brought warm beer, and cold food.
The improv is awesome. As a tall chubby guy, I feel I should not judge the comfort of the improv, because the seating is really pushed together. If I owned the improv, I would try to push everyone in together. The food is expensive, so eat before you go. The improv does get some big names, but they do need to work on the opening acts. Some of those comedians ruin the show. Otherwise, the improv is the bomb!!!!

For a fun night out, whether it be a date night or group get together, you can not go wrong here. No drink minimum and the food is very good. Keep up the great customer service and laughs!
There food there sucks. Ordered nachos had to send them back then ordered chicken quesadilla and that was awful. Send that one back to.

Nice location. Had a good time at the Tampa Improv! Sheryl Underwood was hilarious! The Improv had good food, good drinks and nice service. The only down fall, was the parking. Had a hard time find parking.

Called and asked the price of admission for middle of the week (Wednesday or Thursday). Was told $5/person. After driving 40 minutes to get there, was told that there was an additional (not mentioned on the phone) $3/person "service" charge (even on tickets purchased straight from their own box office). Very sneaky and unethical. The five comedian who were on the night we were there were crude and not very funny.
I visited the weekend Marlon Wayans was featured. I arrived 30 minutes early and stood in line for well over an hour. The show started super late. It was good but not worth the long wait. The food is mediocre. I went for the wings and was completely turned off by the flavor and presentation of the food.
John Witherspoon was on the ticket tonight and he was FUNNY! Loved his show.
The sign says no hats allowed, but thankfully not enforced. Seats are very very close together, so you're constantly bumping your neighbor if you're not really careful.

I had a higher rating before today.. I have seen a few good shows...and at 9 months pregnant it was a nice spot i could step out to while being pregnant...
However!!!!!!!! I just dealt with whoever the manager is supposed to be she is very unprofessional and was unwilling to resolve an issue on the phone due to some email/misunderstanding about free tickets...
I have spent money and brought guests to at least 3 shows in the past 2 months... Thats not how u treat a paying customer whose also promoted your buisness/shows... Also, there should be more than one manager or boss of an establishment and after talking over me for 10 min and refusing to let me speak with anyone else, the situation remains unresolved. Unfortunately i probably will not be returning due to the way the situation was handled.
Loved the comic but not so much with the venue. Its kind of cramped, and seating is done by how many in your party, which meant for us a party of 2 we end up sitting with strangers. As each table seats the minimum of 4 people.
Very clean, social distanced, and ready for entertainment.
The show was hilarious! Friendly server. Tables upstairs too close. Prices on food are a little high.

I have always had a great experience at the Tampa Improv. But what really impressed me was, we had family from out of town so we wanted to take them to see Lavell Crawford and of course the show was CANCELLED; but the Manager called and left a personal message stating the show was cancelled. That was so professional and customer service oriented.I really applaud them for that, it took time and patience to call every persons and either talk to them or leave a massage. THAT S 5 SERVICE.....
The comedy shows are great and I highly recommend signing up for their emails and texts because we are always getting discounted tickets. There isn t a bad seat in the place.
Their drinks aren t good though. The mixed drinks are awful. They have a few decent bottled beers. I ordered wine last time, but I never got it. The food is okay, but we only get an appetizer to share - I wouldn t get dinner there.

I enjoy going. The food is pretty good. Wasn't happy with waiting almost an hour to get my drink. I know the wait staff is very busy during shows and between shows but someone should have cleaned up the restrooms a bit.
I have seen 3 major acts here at various times through the year. Its a decent place BUT the seating is the worst thing ever. You feel like you're literally sitting on top of each other. Other than that, its pretty straight.

Great show...only complaint is ordering from your table is extremely slow and paying was even slower but for the money its a real good place to go out...i REALLY laughed my makeup off at Arnez J...yes 5Starz
