This is a great brewery that has grown a lot in the years since I last visited. Stop by for extremely friendly, passionate, and informed staff, fun free tours of the brewery, and great cheap samples of their beer! Live music and food trucks are common. The 420 is their most common brand but definitely try the IPA and Blue as well!

Tour was fun and relaxed. Great selection of beers on tap at the bar! Loved that they had 5 oz. pour options so you could try different ones without fully committing. :) It was very loud and busy early on a Saturday evening, but seemed to thin out around 8pm. Food was delish! I am already looking forward to my next trip there.

This place ROCKS!!!! I have been over 10 times and each time hhas been amazing. They have done a ton of renovations so if you have not been recently you should head over. They give you drink tickets and a cup for $10 when you visit.

They give tours of the brewery too and it is very cool. They give you a little history of the company and show you their manufacturing process.

This is a fun place to take your out of town guests. For a small fee you can go on a brewery tour, and get a few beers. The outside area is dog friendly, which is a huge plus, but finding a parking spot is tough. Overall, it's a fun place to hang out, and try new beers!

It was so awesome to finally have a chance to stop here! Everyone was so nice, restaurant nice and clean and the food/beer delicious! Long time fans of the beer so we did the tour as well and of course stocked up on shwag at the gift shop and plenty of to-go beers. We hope to return!

Went to no water no beer event, was very impressed with the new facility! We had so much fun on Cinco De Mayo. Will be back here again for sure! Cant wait to bring our friends here as well.

Bartender very rude. Clearly a line and kepy serving people out of the line. When she finally decided to serve the people in the actual line she said no flights now after she just poured one and proceeded to say they were out of a bottled beer that they had multiple bottles of for sale.

Ooops! Maybe I stopped in too early (approx.5pm, after a 4:20pm opening), but didn't encounter a welcoming face or attitude while simply picking up an online order. Had planned on staying for a happy hour beverage, but not so much

Best brewery in Atlanta - excellent beer variety, including some exclusives (Hatchery or Woodlands); knowledgeable and friendly staff; great views and space. Quieter around lunch on Saturday, although people will line up before they open - doors at 11, but no beer until 11:30 on a recent visit.

SweetWater brings people together. The place has been renovated within the last year (at the time of writing this) and the main tasting room is very different than the old one. It is much more spacious, and has televisions surrounding it. My one complaint with the current tasting room is that there seems to be too much space. Even on the busiest nights, there aren't many places to sit, just a bunch of open standing room. This is a small quarrel with an otherwise outstanding brewery experience. I highly recommend trying the G13 420 Strain. It's currently the best beer they serve. If the hemp flavor is not really your thing, then the classic 420 Pale Ale is also a great choice. Bringing a larger group is also a good idea, as there is room for indoor cornhole which is always a good time. Overall, the beer is great and the people are very welcoming. SweetWater is always a fantastic start to the weekend.

I enjoyed my time at the brewery! The safe was nice, friendly and accommodating. I was not sure what type of beer I was interested in so I was able to sample them all until I found the one I liked. I was not rushed or made to feel I was a problem... I appreciate good customer service!

Great spot for just hanging out with friends and enjoying life. Came here during an out of town visit with several friends from Virginia and had a super time. Beer is freshly brewed and a great taste. Food was surprisingly good too. The staff is super friendly. We played cornhole out front and met the locals. Definitely plan to come back next time we are in ATL.

a really fun place to hang out despite it having turned into a college party-feeling atmosphere(which isn't necessarily a bad thing)

friendly staff, if you've had and enjoyed Sweetwater brews, a must try.

ctually named after the SweetWater Creek State Park, this brewery has made its own claim to fame with its easy to drink beers and their famous 420 Extra Pale Ale. It recently renovated its lounging and patio area so it's a pretty dope place to check out with food ready to order to compliment your icy cold draft. They are opened everyday except Monday and Tuesday from 11:30 am to about 9 or 10 pm.

The brewery tour is $8 for three 5 oz samples or add $3 bucks more to get a souvenir glass. You'll go through their brewing process and hear about how they came to be. One of the sights to see is their Dank Tank which is pretty funny to see.

Aside from their classic beers and seasonal drafts, they also have some hard seltzer waters known as 'Hydroponics' and barrel aged sours/ales known as 'The Woodlands,' which are more funky, yet deep in flavor. I'm a fan!

They also have a decent menu to order food from including sharables such as a giant pretzel or boiled peanuts or something more hefty such as the Korean BBQ Philly. Whatever you get, it'll pair nicely with your beer!

On a brewery tour, I expect to learn about the process of brewing beer. I want to see and smell the grains, the hops and the beer at various steps in the process. We saw none of this. The tour consisted of 5 minutes on the history of the company (it's only 20 years old so don't get too excited) and a very short walk of the factory floor, where we saw some steel tanks and stationary bottling lines. We tasted three different beers. I asked one technical question, which the guide couldn't answer. I learned and saw nothing of interest, and so really couldn't recommend the tour. The bar and restaurant onsite were decent however.

I am a craft beer fanatic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the SweetWater brews. I recently visited on the way into Atlanta for vacation. It made the trip! They offer 20 min tours at the brewery, as well as beer samplings. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun!

The brewery tour was really fun and informative and gave us a nice sampling of three different beers. They're really popular on a Saturday afternoon, so I would advise getting there early! You can bring your dog along too.

I took my husband here on 6/15/19 for Father's Day. We did the 5 pm VIP tour and tasting with Matt (an awesome guide by the way!) and very much enjoyed it. We'd never been to SweetWater before and never had any of their products. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but they had me completely sold! The Champagne beer and the Peach Love & Happiness are my favorites! The atmosphere was great and the food was A+! We will be coming back and will be buying SweetWater from now on!!! :-)

What was once a place i would take my out of town friends and consider a "Must" for anyone visiting Atlanta has become like any other bar in the city. The new laws allow them to stay open later, and pay by the beer - but make samples illegal. However, I went when UCF and Auburn fans were in town and suddenly they were charging for tours again and giving out samples to those who toured the brewery. No notice, no sign, nothing. We lined up to tour at 4pm only to be told that all tours were SOLD OUT! I thought tours were free after the new laws. The is no long a must for out of towners and def. not for locals who used to swear by Sweetwater. All good things must come to an end I guess - it would be nice if they would announce and post what their new daily "laws" are though...

One of my favorite breweries I've toured so far. A great value, great beer with great variety. The tour guides are knowledgeable. I would get there early and enjoy all you can! I've been a couple times and will probably go again!

Love coming here! I've been for regular tours and events and haven't been disappointed! $10-15 gets you a souvenir glass, and tasting tickets to sample the beers. You also get access to the brewery tour, whatever entertainment is there and sometimes food trucks! Lines move fast so you won't be waiting long. They are only open some afternoons and close very soon after, I assume to make way for events and avoid people becoming dangerously drunk, so it's a great after work pit stop or pre-game before going out. The main pitfall I have is the parking situation. There is a parking lot next to it and several around but many are at your own risk or down the street on-street parking. Taking Uber is best to avoid this problem and the problem of wondering if you can leave your car.

My brother and I had a hell of a time at this awesome brewery during a business trip to Atlanta in July. Didn't even finish our drinks; definitely going back when we are in the area. Hope they take our passes.

I got the opportunity to work for this company during sweetwater 420 festival and it was so much fun. We went to the brewery and got free drinks for the volunteer intro meeting. I've never been to the brewery before and loved it. The porches outside are beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a nice variety of beers and the location is spacious. I can't wait to go back!

Super comfortable, inviting modern pub. I love the Beermosa and 420 Extra Pale Ale. Me using the word "love" for a beer is very rare and the flavors SweetWater brews distinguishes them from the rest of brewers. Food available was yummy too - buffalo cauliflower, burger, mahi tacos - but I'd skip the fries. This would be a great spot for a casual date or a group hangout. I'd definitely go again.

I went with a bachlorette party this past Friday and brought my boyfriend back for our anniversary and both times were a blast! I don't know why someone said in another review that they don't serve beer, because they definitely do. I tried a few. The Georgia brown is so good! Such an awesome place. We'll definitely be back!

Place was decently packed but not to crowded, nice building location, not a lot of traffic, aways from Atlanta downtown but not to far either. Seating on patio, good place to hangout w/ friends.

Heather at the outside front area should probably practice being nicer to people who are trying to dine at this establishment - or let someone else do the customer facing talking duties. There is a difference between having to politely inform someone of a wait because of seating space limitation and being eagerly excited about telling someone no, there's an hour wait, and you are kind of bothering me with your questions. +1 for trying to sell me beer to go after five minutes of being so rude. Your coworkers were laughing at you. Really really bad customer service here. You are only as good as your FOH staff. What a disgrace.

Sweetwater is not my favorite beer in the area but they offer a fun experience at their brewery. You get a good amount of beer for your money and the beer selection is good. Get here early, every time I've visited it's been a zoo.

Beer was great, they need a stamping system, because you could be standing in line for 20 mins at the bar, already had 2-3 beers or took a tour, and if one of the bartenders think you look too young they ask for your id, so if you a woman that left their purse at your table, you got to get out of line, and go get it, well you get the point....happened to me...

This brewery is really swanky on the inside. Its always crowded so get there early or get turned away if the brewery is at capacity. You get to tour the brewery, taste six beers and take home a souvenir glass. Pretty good deal.

The crew and I (12 people) went up to have lunch and a beer and walked in the front door to an extremely rude women denying us entrance until we parked 2 city blocks away and walk back. I am appalled by your business practice. It was extremely embarrassing to me and crew. We used to come in at least 2-3 times a week never again. If we re not as important as the guest next to us u can keep your food and beer to yourselves. I will let my union know never to do business with you. 5000 strong.

Spectacular place. Impressive set up. Didn t have flight tasting available on a Saturday for lack of glassware. Was forced to buy 16oz when I came to taste all their selection. I can t drink that much alcohol. Was a tad but disappointed for this fact. I know it was genuine, but other customers may feel this is an in-elastic demand move to make us purchase 16 oz portions during a high volume time. I do love Sweetwater beer and I will definitely be back. Sweetwater gets a 2 star rating because I know they are capable of much much better.

If you like beer just go here. You get their beer by buying the tour which comes with a pint glass and multiple pours of their beer. The only other comparisons to this place is the Boulevard Brewery Beer hall in KC and the Lakefront Brewery tour in Milwaukee.
