I have to say, I'm a bit surprised by some of the reviews here, so I thought that I would offer one of my own.
I am a long time customer of Southerlin Nissan Mall of Georgia and I would like to take this opportunity after my recent service to share what has become the "routine" experience I have with them.
I've been a customer since 2007 and in that time they have performed dozens of services on my truck. Each and every experience has been extremely positive, particularly with regards to the service department staff. These people really seem to love their work, and it shows in their interactions with their customers. They go out of their way to keep me informed every step of the way, making sure that I really understand what the issues are and what steps should be taken to resolve the issues. This allows me to make informed decisions and keeps me confident that they are working in my best interests. The value of the staff at Southerlin cannot be overstated, they are truly excellent people and should be a model for other dealerships.
While the price of service may be higher than what would be charged by "That guy your cousin's boyfriend knows" the quality of work performed here at Southerlin is second to none. The technicians always do a great job quickly and effectively performing the services needed to keep my vehicle running like new (It's well over 130,000 miles at this point, but you would never guess based on the mechanical state that it is in, thanks to Southerlin). You may find a better price, but you will NOT find a better value, I guarantee it.

I purchase an Altima at Sutherlin and was very happy with the sales and service experience. I told my salesman the car I wanted and how much I would pay for it. He came back to me within 10 minutes ( it was probably a little longer but not much, as I was thinking this would take me all day, if you know what I mean) and said the deal was done! This has never happened to me before at a new car dealership. Service guys are great too! Several communications via email from customer service folks just making sure I was still happy and I am. I was told it would be approved and sent right over - 30mins later nothing... I then called and salesman did not answer. I then got a call from Internet manager saying that actually the best they could do was around $1500 MORE than what I was just told. I purchased a used 2012 Infinity G25 from Sutherlin Nissan Mall of Georgia, 3520 Highway 20, Buford, GA on December 6, 2014. During the test drive of the car, the traction control light came on along with the parking brake light. The sale associate, Ryan, was in the vehicle during the test drive of the car and I mentioned that these lights came on. Ryan instructed me that the service center would have the issue fixed and it would not be a problem. After the Test drive, I purchase the vehicle. Ryan sent it to be cleaned and get the service department to fix the issues regarding the service lights. I signed the paperwork and finalized the purchase. When they pulled the car around for me to leave, they mentioned that the service center had closed and I should bring it back to be fixed. This was not a good way to start since I had already signed the papers and also live almost an hour away. After a few days I called Ryan and asked him if it could be fixed anywhere closer to Atlanta. Ryan said he spoke with a manager who suggested taking the vehicle to Infinity since it was under warranty. I took the vehicle to Infinity of Gwinnett where the issue with the lights was deemed replacement brakes were needed as well as tires. I called Ryan who instructed me to bring it to them. The next Saturday I drove up to Buford where I was told that the work could not completed because it was normal wear and tear. I was lied to directly by Ryan who clearly said the issue would be fixed. I tried to speak with Scott, the GM who would not talk to me. He pushed everything onto Shelton (who was extremely rude and unprofessional). After going back and forth for this long, I have no other choice to file this compliant. After taking the vehicle to Infinity and getting their opinion, I feel very unsafe driving the car. This past week Shelton did finally respond and offer to provide the brakes but I would pay labor. That is not happening. The car was bought as-is but I was promised this would be fixed before the purchase. Scott, who is the General Manager, has still called me back or spoken to me on the phone or in person. POOR SERVICE AND A SALES MISREPRESENTATION!

When I told him my budget, he said thats all?! He started laughing and asked me how old I was (I'm in my mid 20's) like I was foolish to be searching around that price point. Keep in mind I have found MANY Nissans under my budget so it isn't unreasonable. I also showed him the car I came in to look at and I was told it was sold over the weekend. We were communicating Sunday evening and Monday morning but he failed to mention the car I had come to see wasn't there anymore. He also tried to convince me that used cars have too many problems and to only buy new cars. Do not recommend this place to anyone... I will not return.

I took it back to Southerlin where I bought it and Patrick Johnson was very helpful. After a long week, Nissan finally authorized a transmission change at no cost due to the warranty.
The Rogue now is running well and the technicians there cleaned it up without me asking for it. Downside, Nissan only gave 12K warranty on the new transmission :(
I am a very, VERY strict client and at Southerlin they all went above and beyond to make a customer like me happy and satisfied.
I recommend Southerlin, however, I have a bitter-sweet taste of Nissan cars.

I had to convince the girl at the counter to see if they could rush my car after waiting for 4 hours. I told them I needed to go see another vehicle across the street and I would think about it. After seeing the other vehicle I called the sales person to say I would buy the car for $17,000 drive out. So the sales manager comes back with $20,000 drive out and stated it was never $17,500 drive out. MY tax , tag, title and fees add up to $1425 plus advertised sales price $17,533 = 18,958 a increase of$ 1,042. All of this after they gave me a drive out price of $17,500. THIS DEALER IS THE REASON FOR THE NICKNAME "STEALERSHIP". I bought a 2009 Altima from there last year, sticker price said $16,000 (which I came to find out was overly high but whatever), then they bundled me up for some great coverage service that ended up bringing the total price to $21,250. Within 5 months of buying the car, there were at least 5 times that something went wrong with it, and the great coverage did not cover ANY of them, it only covers a free oil change ($20, every 3 months). I tried to trade in this vehicle 5 months after buying it, and I'm not getting more than $8,500 for it, yet I still owe $20,000!!!
However, that was not the reason for my review, that was just adding up to the overall bad experience I have had with this stealership. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gone up to get the oil change (any time I even go, because it's covered), it just so happens that the total that the cashier gives me is higher than the total that I was supposed to pay, somehow someway it has happened every time. One time it was $100 over what I was quoted for, as to get every dollar they can out of a customer.

Customer NO SERVICE - took almost 2 weeks to finish service on my car and then they wouldn't endorse my insurance claim check after I had already paid for the service in full. Jennifer, the owner's assistant said that she was the person in charge and all she would do is QUOTE POLICY even after she stated that Sutherlin Nissan made an error to their policy when I made my payment in full instead of just charging me for my deductible amount. Their ERROR, and they couldn't even break from THEIR POLICY. I'm waiting another week for the insurance company to reissue the check just in my name. This should have been a simple fix. But since I had to constantly call back to move forward with every step in the car repair process, I guess this is what I should have expected.

My fiance and I had a wonderful experience at this dealership. We are currently expecting twins, so we needed to upgrade to a crossover/SUV. We shopped around a bit prior to visiting Sutherlin, and it was good that we did. The difference was remarkable. Our salesman, Ryan, was excellent. He took time to go over all of the features of the Rogue in detail and completely made me fall in love with the vehicle. Our finance man, Curt, was superb and extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and detailed. For those people giving one star only because they called for a price quote and didn't get the response they wanted/response quickly, VISIT THE DEALERSHIP! This is a face-to-face business. Yes, a quote can be given via phone, but if you're able to make the trip, business done in person is always best and will give you the best experience and one-on-one attention you desire. Thank you for helping me find my dream car. I love my Rogue SV!!

Upon arriving the sales rep casually mentioned Oh by the way you know that this vehicle has 7100 miles on it right? NO. Their website advertised 12 miles. I spoke with him before going to the dealership. He never mentioned that Mr. Sutherlin s daughter had put 7100 miles on the vehicle. I thought it to be reasonable to adjust the price down due to the mileage. They were very arrogant in their response. Wouldn t budge. Very disappointed in this dealership. A perfect example of why buying a car can be such a headache. Just tell the truth. Beware of this dealership.

Not impressed by service or sales. Maybe it was just the care and attention I received. I wouldn't go back to buy a vehicle from them unless their sales and service improved greatly. The sales people just hover and try to attack you as you exit your vehicle. Service kept sending my vehicle back with issues and I had to keep wasting my time going to the dealership. My husband and I were in the market for a new car for him and settled on the 2009 Kia Sportage for a variety of reasons. Jeff Loftis (Internet Jeff, he told me to call him) called immediately after I put in an inquiry on the website and was very understanding when I asked to communicate via text, we arranged the entire process over text and emails! There was a hiccup with financing and I moved on, but on our behalf Jeff kept working to get the numbers right so we could get the car my husband wanted. He texted today to let us know and were there less than 30 minutes signing papers since we did it all online. Jeff is very friendly and customer service driven: I would recommend him to anyone looking for a car in the Atlanta area!

I just don't like the way they operate and I am becoming less happy with my purchase as the days go by. Drove for two hours to get my used truck and everything seemed fine at first. The truck drove nice, it looked nice and the carpets were very clean. I did notice that the front tires were pretty close to bald and the rear tires were not far behind. I mentioned it to the salesperson and was told that they "passed the inspection". I didn't think too hard on that because I figured I could negotiate new tires in the deal. Found that there was a rear headrest that was missing and the salesperson never realized that until I said something. Not a huge deal since I don't sit in the back. We got inside to go over the price and there was a "used car inspection fee" of $1125! What the heck is that?! Well I got that negotiated off the bill but they wouldn't give me new tires. Saying they would have to order them and I would have to come back...I live 2 hours away! I got a few more hundred dollars off the deal so I could pay for a couple tires and we settled on a price. By the way, Discount Tire said that the tires were too worn to even rotate. I have to buy four new tires and spend almost a grand on my new purchase. I drove home and everything seemed fine. I noticed the next night that my rear heated seats didn't work. So I took off the button and saw it wasn't connected. Why didn't their $1125 mechanic find that? I also checked the air filter and found it needed to be replaced. Shouldn't that have been part of the $1125? The day after I brought it home the battery died and had to be replaced because it was bad. Then I crawled under the truck to look around and found massive amounts of oil on the bottom of the transmission. What the hell are they charging $1125 for?? I call BS on that and I'm glad I didn't pay it. But now I have to worry that I have bigger problems on my dream truck because they are shady and obviously didn't do what they are trying to charge for. I also started the truck a few days later in the morning and it rattled upon start up. A quick Google search shows that the timing phasers are going bad and that they will rattle for a couple seconds when starting a cold engine. Again, I don t think a mechanic looked at this thing at all. Side note- I didn t start the truck at the dealership the day I looked at it- the salesman started it from 60 ft away with the remote start so I never would have heard it before I bought it. I'm worried about what kind of problems I will find next that their "mechanic" didn't find. Don't deal with Sutherlin Nissan. What a joke.

Throughout the process, Jack made sure to answer all my questions and walked me through the best possible options. He was very clear and upfront, and we finalized the sale extremely smoothly. It barely felt that I was at the dealership for 5 hours. I'm happy with my Altima!
