Had dinner on sat night 5-4-2019 it was a very very busy place. There's plenty of inside and outside seating , but not enough parking. Atmosphere and attitude were very pleasant. Brews were great and the food was outstanding. Service was fast and friendly, food came very quickly for how busy it was. It's an outstanding place if your looking for great bbq this is the place to go !

Nothing like it between Cape May and AC. Great food, beer and atomsphere. This however is not a 'beachy' place if that is what you are looking for, but very kid friendly.

Seems like a nice stop. I tried the Stout and the porter, both on Nitro.

As non-locals from an area with an embarrassment of riches when it comes to micro-breweries, Mudhen is an absolute gem. The service is exceptionally fast and friendly, the menu is substantial and well executed, and the entertainment is fantastic. Speaking as someone who owns and services food establishments and has 15+ years in the industry, these guys are on point in every way.

Amazing and unique food!! Awesome outdoor seating with live music!! Delicious micro brewed beer!! Enough said..make a stop to eat and drink here!!

Food and service was good but it was too loud and fast. If you want to eat and run this is for you. If you want to relax, don't go.

Very friendly and efficient staff up front, and food runners, etc. Food very good, served hot. We're locals, can't get near the place in summer. But it will be on our list of restaurants to frequent.

My food was fantastic. The beer selection wasn't terribly interesting but what I had was solid. Atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.

Frankly good. The food is good, the beer is varied and excellent. The place is pretty and there are even games of pockets on site. I loved.

It's alright. nice vive though it's too loud that we had to shout to talk each other. food quantity is great. we ordered fries and nachos for 4 people and we were stuffed. waited time was 30-40mins at around 6pm.

Awesome place inside and out and a true brew pub. Gets busy so should try to get in early afternoon.

Awesome experience! The place was packed, but in less than 10 minutes we were seated and the food took no longer than 15 minutes. Food was delicious.

For a dog friendly restaurant I give it 5 stars and my dog Laszlo says 2 Paws Up. Very friendly staff and food was very good. Great service and they even took care of my dog. Definitely recommend them.

Happy Hour but only at the bar. If you sit at table it's not happy hour?? Not good.

Atmosphere pleasing, staff excellent very attentive. I had the Rib Eye Steak which was seasoned and cooked perfect very large rib eye, veggies were delish and also cooked to perfection. The appetizers soup du jour delish' the spinach, cheese and onion dip with toasted bread points and home made chips was out of this world took a second one home...very surprised thought it would just be Bar food ..will come back until we sampled all on the menu. Drinks were decent they need to add some frozen drinks to their menu.

Been here twice now. Service good and this time there were 16 of us and everything was together served hot no mistakes. Entire place inside and out is beautiful. With this many people I got to try several dishes , only thing I did not care for was spinach crab dip. Was to fishy for me , other then that everything was delicious. Highly recommend the MudHen. Great for couples up to large groups. Fire pit outside .. Would love to try that one time.

This is such an amazing place to eat and drink! Such a great atmosphere and amazing staff. Wait time for your food/drinks is slim to none. A bit pricey though but other than that I would 100% recommend this.

I left Mudhen very upset and disappointed the other night. My husband and I were given a gift card to Mudhen about a year and a half ago because my in laws knew we loved it and would visit anytime we were on vacation. So fast forward to Monday night our 2nd night of our family vacation we decide to use our gift card and gift for dinner. The waitress brings our bill and my husband hands her the gift card we had and our credit card for the balance. He places the gift card sleeve on our table with the receipt which was my mother in laws proof of purchase. My husband walks away to take my son to the bathroom and the bus boy takes everything on the table. The waitress comes back and goes I'm sorry maam but there is nothing on this gc, so I immediately say yes I know for a fact there is and I have the receipt to prove it. So I start digging through my purse and realize my husband had placed it on the table and the bus boy most have swiped it with the trash. So I tell her what happened and she says okay I'll be right back. She comes back and says "I'm sorry I spoke with 2 managers and they both said there is nothing we can do." So I ask to see the manager and she comes over and I explain that the gift card absolutely should have had $50 on it and that I had the receipt to prove it if she could just ask her worker to look in the trash that they just took off of the table. She told me she would not do that and there is nothing they can do. So they were not willing to help us in anyway and our giftcard was useless. We will no longer be supporting mudhen although we did like it there I was very disappointed on how we were treated.

The soup was amazing, drinks were delicious and pear pistachio tartelette was delicious

Great food and great service. We go back every year coming home from our Wildwood vacation. Definitely recommend stopping here.

We haven't been disappointed yet. We look forward to dining here every year. The food is great and excellent service. They have expanded their outdoor dining to accommodate social distancing. I had the crabcake sandwich, broiled without the roll. Large crabcake perfectly seasoned, and those hen chips....My husband and daughter had Mudhen's amazing burgers - Jersey Man and the Rooster burger. We also enjoyed the new Fruitie Patootie Mango and Darlin' NEIPA.

Gotta love mudhen. The beer is great and the food is amazing. Never had a bad meal. Only live a block away. But they have a decent size parking lot and you can park on the street except in front of my house lol

Everything was great! From the locals and the beach goers. This is more then your bar food scene average place. It is a popular, intriguing and one of the better places to get great food and great service. You walk in and before the appealing atmosphere catches your eye, you are greeted by polite and kind workers. The menu is super fun and intriguing. From apps to burgers to salads and macs and steaks, the eats are different in the best way with its bbq flare and new inventive selections.

This place is amazing! It's located right on the central hub of Wildwood, NJ in a renovated and upstyled Harley Davidson store. It's hip and cool design are only outshined by the delicious food, brewed Craft beers, and Live Entertainment. They have Happy Hour specials and a kickin' Reggae Monday! There's also lawn games and a beautiful centrally located fire pit for all to enjoy. While it's not exactly "cheap" to dine, it's well worth it. Eat inside or out, either way there's a great view of the brewing kettles and NJ Transit and cabs run right along the route, in case you don't feel like driving. There's also free parking and wheelchair accessible entrances and seating. Enjoy!

Mudhen Brewing Company is named after the first passenger train in Wildwood, NJ which passed by Mudhen s location and sports a chic, rustic, industrial vibe true to its name. Mudhen offers a wide assortment of their own brews and different beer flights so you can taste them. While their beer assortment is pretty good, the food isn t to be overlooked. Mudhen serves up classic American pub fare and comfort food here like pretzels, wings, BBQ, burgers, seafood, and sides. There are several bars throughout the restaurant/brewery, so don t get discouraged if you see a big crowd around one. They have indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment spaces. Try your hand at bean bag toss or giant jenga while you relax outside with a brew or wait for your table to be ready. I d highly recommend trying a flight of their brews, selecting one you enjoyed (like the Cackling Coot Belgian Tripel), and then chowing down on the Mudhen Burger. You can schedule to tour the brewery if you want. This is a great brewery and restaurant for groups of all sizes and ages. If you re in or around Wildwood during the summer, this is a great place to try out.

We live in the area and started going here around Christmas, to take advantage of the off-season lull. It's a busy place in-season for good reason! The beer is great, the food is fantastic and the people there are amazing. Every person who works there provide excellent customer service and are also genuinely nice people. They welcome families and have regular events for adults and children. I can't say enough good things. Go here!

Came here for dinner for the first time Memorial Day weekend 2018, it was AWESOME! So good that we even came here for lunch and drinks the next day. Service was great food was DELICIOUS! And the drinks were amazing. The wildwood cooler and the gin blues mojito were delicious! The beer flights were great Too we got the 1883 ipa, the rising tides pale ale, the mud light Pilsner, and the capt. Doug s porter. I was impressed with everything! This is our new place!

If you are ever in Wildwood and looking for a great brew or awesome food the Mudhen will not disappoint. Reasonably priced and ample parking

Great vibe, attentive service, and excellent food. Prices are on the higher side, but you get very good food, and large portions. The brisket sandwich was great and my wife loved her salad (roasted beets I believe). Will definitely be back.

Came here one Saturday night looking for a fun bar with good dancing music in the SGV area. Sadly, my cousin and I were disappointed. The entrance had a small dance area with few tables/seating.

Wanted a seat at the bar. Not a seat to be had. Went upstairs where bar was just opening. Ate and drank up there. Great bartendender! Food came out really fast! My only complaint is that this place is too crowded and you cant seat at the bar. My sister did not like her meal. Mac and cheese. I had fish tacos. Eh, just ok. I had oyster po boy on a previous visit that I loved.

Great outdoor space, and solid beers. They were out of a few beers, so my sister was sad she didn't get a hefeweizen.

We lived this place the food was delicious and we were able to take some of there great canned beer home

Food was really great, drinks were good, especially the specials cocktails. Wait was a little long, but to be expected with the whole outdoor/covid thing going on. The pretzel app and BBQ mac and cheese were to die for! Will definitely recommend and be back!

It's always exciting when you hear about a new restaurant opening in Wildwood. Often times though, they're a let down or just more of the same. Mudhen is an exception to that.

Food came out all at separate times. Apps. Were not apps. They came with the meals. Service was spotty. Had to wave others down to get what was needed.

Had another great meal at Mudhen Brewery last night. They were busy as usual but the wait wasn't too long. Gave us a chance to enjoy a nice beverage while we waited. I He live my beer was the Kitty Cats and Fireworks DBL IPA. It was delicious! We both had burgers and they were huge .. Gonna bring my . Gonna bring my growler next time!

Came here the other night for anniversary and it was great! Food, drinks, and service were all very consistent, being outside at night definitely added to the setting as well. Thank you for the service, the Jersey Burger and Onion rings were phenomenal!

Mostly average and a couple of good beers, but one absolute standout. I can't think of another micro-brewery that I've visited that had a light beer on the menu. Simply put, this was the best light beer I have ever enjoyed. This alone should put them on the map. It was toasty. A nice, mellow flavor. It didn't seem like a "light" beer at all. I would choose this over any lager or pilsner from any brewpub I've been to.

There s a new go-to place in Wildwood! Mud Hen Brewing Company is fun, lively and a great addition to one of the best beach destinations in the state. The craft beers are excellent, with a wide range of IPAs to Pilsners. My favorites were the Hen Pecked Hefe and Cackling Coot. An inventive menu...Grilled oysters are great start, followed by main courses like hoisin glazed chicken, green eggs and ham or po boy shrimp sandwich. After dinner, hang out by the fire pits, play some corn hole outside or enjoy the board games upstairs on the loft. An excellent experience overall!

Bartender was very rude and denied my perfectly legal ID along with one of my friends, but he still allowed her to drink and not me. I mentioned to my friend very quietly how I felt disrespected and he shouted at me ITS NOT DISRESPECTFUL IM JUST DOING MY JOB! Like I don t know who rubbed you the wrong way Steve. Never coming back. Could ve made an extra 100 bucks off of us. Just proves they really don t care about their customers or quality of their service because they rack in so much cash.

My wife and I, along with my sister and a friend had visited Wildwood N.J for the first time on the weekend of July 30th to August 3rd and MUDHEN was a choice we went with for a first night out to eat. What a choice!!!!! There was absolutely no wait, and the staff was wearing masks and had the outdoor dining tables comfortably apart from other tables. The atmosphere was excellent in that the rustic vibe and music that was playing was relaxing but still a great time. The music wasn't too loud where you would need to yell over each other but also was loud enough to not hear other people's conversation along with them hearing ours. We ordered the deep fried pickles for an appetizer and they had arrived before our drinks that came seconds after! No wait at all as we were starving going there. I had the chicken wings that were crisp and beautifully spread with shaved carrots and celery which was a perfect asset, wasn't too much. My wife had the brisket sandwich with coleslaw on top and from her facial reactions I could tell she picked the right plate which also had waffle fries. My sister and my friend ordered the same plate, the brisket strips which were a bit fatty, but that's what gives it flavor and a side of beans which were good and don't get us started on the cornbread...delicately glazed with which we think is honey but to absolute perfection. I accidently spilled a drink and it landed on my wife's lap, without asking within seconds a waiter or busboy came up and cleaned the table floor and gave my wife a towel to try and dry her lap up. The waitress we had was so polite and friendly, even though we knew she was so busy, she always smiled and came to see if we needed anything frequently. Now of course we wanted dessert but we're too full and the cornbread kind of did that sweet tooth fix for us. WE LOVE THIS PLACE, ALMOST WANT TO DRIVE 4 HOURS FROM N.Y TO EAT THERE!!! FOOD EXCELLENCE!!!!! ATMOSPHERE EXCELLENT!!!! STAFF EXCELLENT!!!! BEST PLACE TO EAT IN WILDWOOD N.J!!!! We also tried to go somewhere else called the Dogtooth but when we went, it was an hour wait...so we said let's go back to MUDHEN even though we knew they were also as busy as Dogtooth, well guess what when we got there, MUDHEN said maybe 20 min wait, which was much less than the hour wait at Dogtooth, then 5 mins later not 20, they were leading us to the table!!! Was so impressed we couldn't believe it. That night my friend and I had a fish sandwich, again no complaints only mouthful of wonders. My wife had the MUDHEN burger which she said was better than the brisket sanwich the last time, she didnt do much talking as she devoured the whole thing, she also asked for a side of the dipping sauce for the fried pickles to put on her burger, which is like a blooming onion sauce like a horseradish mayo, that made it even better. My sister had the popular corned beef and brisket sandwich which was like a Reuben but wayyyy better, of course we had some more cornbread..also there coleslaw is soooo good!!! The drink we really liked was the Wildwood Crusher, it contained Tito's voldka, George's raspberry liquor and lemonade, went down like juice so be careful! We so recommend this place to enjoy food, your family and Wildwood....wish we had one in N.Y, again want to drive there just to eat we loved it that much!!! Thank you MUDHEN for making our Wildwood vacay even better!

The asthetic is gorgeous. The wait staff is fantastic. The location is convenient. Unfortunately, on the two points that matter most, food and beer, Mudhen leaves a lot to be desired. All of us agreed on that. The menu has so many dishes and drinks that sound fantastic, but the kitchen and brewery didn't deliver. The food was bland, the beer had taste and smell issues that highlight issues with the brewing. For now, I'd
skip this brewpub.

To the management, I hope you'll keep trying until you hit the quality that Wildwood deserves. This place should be an instant 'best of', but you're just not there yet. Good luck and best wishes!

Great food and atmosphere!!! Very busy most summer nights with slower service. Flights make it perfect to try all of the MudHens crafted brews.

We were in Wildwood for a week and ate there 3 time the food was great, alone with the beer. Can t wait til our next trip down to Wildwood from upstate NY. The only regret is I didn t bring any beer back with me. They need to ship some to upstate Ny.

Vary good place to get good food and a fun atmosphere in a cool setting love the wings too. But only 3 starts because service is always too slow takes too long to get drinks and two the prices are way to high can spend 100$ easy for two with tip..

Great beer and food, you can t order food at the small tables outside which I think is a bit ridiculous. That and some of the servers are the only thing holding me back from rating the place 5 stars.
