Sun Peaks is a great little resort. It has a few shops & restaurants & lots of accommodations. It's not just a resort for the winter months. It has plenty of activities to keep you busy in the summer too such as hiking, mountain biking, canoing & kayaking. The surrounding areas are just stunningly beautiful! Great for instaworthy photos! It's also quieter & less touristy than Whistler. The service at some of the vendors however are hit or miss.

Sun Peaks is the best ski resort I ve ever been to. There are a wide variety of runs, ranging from beginner to expert, with a majority being in the intermediate range. The views are stunning, the slopes well maintained, and there are even boards at the top of each life to tell you which runs are groomed or not, updated daily. If you d looking to take a day off from skiing, you can participate in some of the many activities they have available, such as dog sledding, riding on one of the groomers while they groom the slopes, or you can have a meet and greet with Olympic champion Nancy Green (there s also an option to ski with her, a free tour and mini-lesson around the hill). One of the highlights of my stay was the Alpine Fondue & Starlight Descent, where we skied down with only the stars and a headlamp to guide us.

Another great thing about Sun Peaks is how friendly everyone is. I have not met a single person who isn t willing to help you if you need anything. This goes for both employees of the mountain and also fellow guests. It s a great sense of community you won t find anywhere else, especially not in the overcrowded and overpriced Whistler.

Speaking of Whistler, Sun Peaks base elevation is higher than Whistler, and therefore you get more consistent conditions throughout the mountain. I am extremely happy with my time here, and will certainly be back for more skiing on Canada s best ski resort.

Sun Peaks Resort: Between the months of May and October, Sun Peaks transforms into a full-scale summer mountain resort. During this period the resort's 18-hole championship golf course takes centre stage. As you journey round from tee-to-green, forested hills laced with ski runs, chair lifts and alpine chalets clearly indicate what happens here in winter.

The place is incredible, although I have to go in summer it is perfect to go rolling with your friends this super extreme and fun has many activities and different attractions every day or season, I imagine that winter is the best season since everything is covered by the snow to give incredible views, I really recommend this place is fantastic!

We went to Kamloops Sun Peaks to collect our season passes, and the visitor counter was closed without any online indication. There was just a piece of paper on the door. We went for a beer at Masa instead. Nice place

First time skiers and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The skiing instructures were not great , I guess that's suited to your needs. Nevertheless we still managed all the green runs by the end of our 6 day stay. Other skiers need to respect the code as I got knocked over by a snowboarder from behind who failed in his duty to give me right of way. I Wasn't happy and made my feelings clear, he didn't hang around, I guess my London fighting talk put him off!!

New Year's Eve celebrations were fantastic and will live long in the memory.

Something I have to address is the complete lack of decent places to eat. We booked our stay quite late and as such had a hotel room with no kitchenette which meant dining out every night. The restaurants on offer here are crap. We ate pretty much everywhere on site. People rave about the Pizza place! Please! It's the only place that sells pizza and it's average at best. We found Bottoms bar/restaurant offer the best value, ambience and quality of food. Seriously, avoid Bella Italia, Masa and the Mexican joint, you're better of buying cheese and bread and staying in your room.

Other than that, for first time skiers we had a great time. We stayed at the Sunpeaks lodge, which although is outdated, was clean and habitable. Old style jacuzzi and sauna, that fits about four chickens.

Had a great time up at Sun Peaks, at the end of October before the snow and all the crowds.
Nice hiking and nice village.
I look forward to checking it out when there is snow and lot's of people as well.

Fantastic mountains for varity of terain, the village is very beautiful and offers a variety of offerings from the restaurants and cafes, with several shops for winter activities. Our family stayed at Coast Sundance with slope side views and ski storage at ground level. So out the door and chose the lift. Highly recommend.

Sun Peaks has consistently good ski conditions. There is so much terrain all levels of skiers can have a great time here. With no lift lines coming here is a nice break from busy resorts like Whistler. There is enough to do for non skiers and in the off season as well. I spent the weekend hiking in Sun Peaks for the first time and can t wait to come back! I like to stay in a condo in the village so I have the option to cook and enjoy Snow Creek Village. We stayed in SC46 and it was modern, clean and quiet with free parking. Ski in/out access too.

Nice resort with a great village and some serious terrain off the back. Even though it's technically one of the biggest in Canada, somehow it felt a little small to me. Great snow, but I didn't feel there was quite enough variety to keep busy for a week.

Very friends staff, great food, nice outside hot tub, and beautiful scenery. Rooms are small and not for more than 3 people, and an hour drive to the 'city'. Has a small village close by for food and basic groceries

June is obviously not the peak season here, because there are not many tourists, and the cable car and ski trails are under renovation. The only sports here in June should be golf and cycling, plus maybe you can climb mountains! Should winter be their peak season?

The golf course is also built along the mountainside, one row to the left, the height of the second floor, and then back to the right, that is, one trip and one trip, a total of 18 holes.

Top notch resort with great runs and staff. The downhill area is massive and the village had a mini Whistler feel but also very relaxed. Among my top favourites now for a winter getaway.

Great ski and bike runs.

Very friendly staff.
Awesome place for a winter or summer break

Sun peaks is a nice family resort. Don't expect to find any extreme terrain but there is enough to do here for a day for an expert skier or a week if you have young kids with you. I hear they have a good lesson program.

Their cafeterias are getting somewhat out of date but the ski-through village is quite cute with a nice cachet to it.

Lovely ski resort. I've only skid there once, it was socked in but what I did see of the hill was fun. The village is great, probably the best one I've been too. The golf course looked fantastic and my brother spoke highly of it. Not the most popular ski hill but we'll worth the trip.
