The snow is world class. Their is a massive amount of ski runs to keep you entertained all day. Not to mention other activities such as snow showing, spas, restaurants, skating and trampolines for those who don't ski.

Yumm

Love this small village resort with lots of things to do in both summer and winter. Like a small Whistler before the crowds got there and tarnished the experience. Summer activities include biking, downhill "cars", concerts, craft/food market on Sundays, golf and hiking.

Went up during the Summer time! There is a good size village with restaurants and shops. You can also ride the chair lift up the mountain and do some hikes up top. It reminds me of a smaller Whistler

Every parking lot says no overnight parking. Had to wake up every day and play Russian roulette if my car got towed or not. Day trips only folks. Sun peaks doesn t want you night business. Our building said on the front door to use parking lot 5 to park overnight.... signs everywhere saying no overnight parking. Ridiculous. Other than that I love sun peaks. But this is embarrassing. 1 star only to get their attention on this matter

I've visited Sun Peaks both in summer and in winter. It truly is a year round destination. In the summer the mtn is host to some of the best mountain biking competition in North America. What I enjoyed the best was their annual Retro weekend concerts. They bring in some of the best tribute bands, such as Bob Seger, Kiss, AC/DC and the list goes on and best of all, its all free. When it comes to skiing Sun Peaks is the 3rd or 4th largest ski resort in BC, and it has some of the best snow conditions that you can find anywhere. I recommend this destination to everyone.

This place has 2 sides, it's a nice village, perhaps spring is not the best time to visit, but still it makes a good impression.
We had a drink in a nice bar and in the evening a good diner in one of the village restaurants.
The bad side is only when you don,t stay in the lodges but arrive in a RV.
The RV park in Sun peaks is not the place what gives you a safe and relaxed feeling.
The RV park was 90% occupied with 2 old RV's and the rest tents with people with skateboards.
In fact we did not have any problems with them but it was not a relaxed feeling.

A wonderful place to relax, do some hiking, canoeing in the summer, sking, snowshoeing and other winter sports in winter. There are good eating places and accommodations are varied and we found that there were places for small and large family gatherings. Best to book ahead

Great place for winter and summer events. Enjoy the entire Villa and it's a must see if you aren't from the area. If you are from the area, you have probably been there a number of times.

Went snowshoeing and it was stunning!!
Had lunch in the Village and waited for youngest to come off the hill.
Never ending runs and adventure on my local mountain!!

Summer bike park is large. Only a single lift turns for bike and sightseeing. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get up the hill in the summer. The trails are maintained fairly well but near the end of the season can get punched out on the popular lines.

Winter the mountain is quite large and we'll spread out the runs are generally not busy and lift lines are short.

A great hill for families.

I prefer some more gladed steep sections but am always quite happy with my experience. A huge plus is how easy it is to upload in the morning even on holiday weekends

Very poor Service. We stayed 3 nights and didn't get any room Service. On the second day we asked for fresh towels. They promised to bring them but nothing happend until we asked again. We found trash from other people under the bed.

Busy ski resort. Seems lately to have difficulty with snow precipitation. Best tine to enjoy fresh powder is early am if it snowed overnight. Well diversified mountain with plenty of runs for all abilities.

Huge ski hill with so many ski runs to choose from!! Great snow conditions and very friendly staff. Sun Peaks village is beautiful - exactly what you would hope to find at a world class ski resort!!! Will definitely return for my next ski trip.

Went here for FoamFest 2017, in June. It seemed like a reasonably nice place: the downhill karting looked like fun. It was a little chilly still, especially when the clouds were obscuring the sun. FoamFest itself was great: lots of volunteers, easy parking, fun event.

Beautiful location, lots of small shops to walk to, many nice places to eat and nice hotel. We were here for a Band Festival, and what really stood out to me, was how lovely all of the staff are in Sun Peaks. Well worth a visit.

Skiing is good in the main part of the season. Jan and Feb it's worth the visit. Food is crazy expensive generally and not exceeding expectations. Hotels are older, condos are usually the way to go but quality varies.

Good

It's so huge, you'll need more than one day to do all the runs! Views are stunning, village is adorable. As long as you don't care about much of a nightlife, it's cozy and awesome. Much better deal than Whistler, I tell ya!

The restaurants were unreasonably expensive and the food was pretty average, especially considering the price. The Grand Hotel is somewhat run down and the elevators were kinda scary. The event we were there for, the 5K Foam Fest was a blast. The event was great, but the accommodations were subpar.

Mountain bike review. I was recently up there on August 2nd and 3rd. I was up there last year. But this year I was really disappointed. Firstly a lot of the trails weren't open yet even though they promised they would be open beginning of Summer. And when you get to the top there's not very many options. Gummy bear, barnburner and mach are all blue Trails. I don't know why they are they should be a black. I met a couple people on the trail asking if there was another way down. And I just told him unless they follow the fire road down. Route 66 has clearly not seen any maintenance in a long time. The upper half looks new and is good but once you get to the mid and bottom it is so Rocky and potholes everywhere it's so rough. Steam shovel used to be a really good trail but now they're doing a bunch of work and it seems to be broken up a little bit. And the jumps are way bigger than they used to be. It's clear that they're putting all their time and effort into all these new trails. Which is great but they definitely need to get some people out and do some maintenance on the other trails. Canada Line looks very promising and fun. It will be really comparable to Aline in Whistler. But Sun Peaks keeps advertising that it's a family place and when you have family come up and they have young kids when you get up to the top of the chair there's nowhere for them to go. Even the level up Trail is pretty Rocky with lots of roots. It's not necessarily a beginner Trail. So where else are you supposed to go with your young kids. Sun Peaks bike park needs to take a step back and look at what they're doing. I talked to a lot of people on the chair and they said Silver Star is a way better place for kids. As well as Whistler. And I found the signage to be very poor. Especially with all the new trails they are doing you get to a section and there's no signage. hopefully some people will find this information helpful. Just trying to put out there how the trails are. And hopefully they will read this and they will fix some of the trails. It's definitely one of the roughest Parks I've ever ridden on. It really beats up your bike

Not that good.

Not that good.
It's getting 3 stars because it's still a fun ski resort. At the bottom, you can ski along next the grand hotel wall, which is awesome, but Challenger (apparently the hardest run there) just is not that hard. After arriving here from Silver star, Sun peaks feels like your skiing on ice.

Excellent snow, and a perfect place to bring your family, you can stay right on the mountain with all the amenities one would want. I was surprised by the vast amount of terrain. The only thing that disappointed me was the first day of skiing was perfect fresh snow everywhere, but over night they groomed most of the mountain, which I believe was a waste of fresh snow. Despite grooming most runs we still found some fresh lines on blacks and double blacks.

Great ski resort but the restaurants are lacking with very little in terms of variety. Try out the cafe's as they are all great , powder hounds is also great. Give morrisey a shot, lots of fresh snow compared to sundance and less daunting than tod.
