One of the lobby Usher's Dave he helped us right away to find our seat on the upper fourth floor. We were the last row for the Fiddler on the Roof. And I really enjoyed it and love that they have 50% discount for students and Military First Responders on the day of at the box office making affordable to go to off 1st Broadway musical.

I've seen several plays at the Straz Center. So far every play has been phenomenal. The Straz offers season tickets which basically give you the ability to have specific seats for multiple shows. There are a few seats where you can see half the stage but overall the Straz is amazing.

This is a lovely venue for an evening or weekend matinee. I have been here several times to see different shows and have always had no problem with seeing or hearing the program. I would recommend to them that they have more women's rooms for during the intermissions but other than that it is a perfect place to go.

A fantastic venue located in the heart of Tampa. I've seen several shows and concerts here and have always been pleased with both their seating arrangements and acoustics. They have done a great job filling their performance schedule with top acts and are reasonably priced on most engagements. The staff there is very courteous and friendly, always with a welcoming smile. I have had a wonderful time at each performance and will continue to patronize this venue. I can't speak toward parking as I always take and Uber there and then order one to get home. Usually the pickups are very quick, as this is a popular place and has a very accessable location. I hope that anyone reading this has as much of a great time that I have had.

Once known as the Tampa Bay performing arts Center, this facility is a great place for shows, concerts, and other performing arts. The attached Patel Conservatory offers child and adult classes in theater, music, comedy, and others.
The facility has great acoustics and seems to be laid out as good as possible given the size. Some of the balcony seats make viewing shows difficult.

Building is ready to navigate. Hosts a wide variety of current and well produced shows. Offers snacks and drinks that can taken into the theater ( theater had cup holders). Parking is plentiful and reasonably priced.

Had a great time and experience with my grandkids. There was a hiccup with the online ticket purchase but was easily remedied at the ticket window. We truly enjoyed The Nutcracker, and will definitely visit again.

Fabulous modern design with a great variety of shows year round for family and persons of all ages. My daughter went to see RENT & Wicked & both experiences were "magical" according to her. Parking can be a bit tricky to figure out tour 1st time going so plan ahead and give yourself a few minutes of leeway to get parked without getting frazzled..then enjoy the great shows!

I always love coming here for shows! Always a great time. I feel like where ever you sit there s a good view. The parking situation is good when it comes to location, $10 to park and you re usually only there for an hour... wish it was $5 but just plan for it I guess. The straz center itself it beautiful inside and out and right on the water so you can take a stroll after a show, so beautiful. Brings me so much joy!

Went for a kid live show it was fun! We sat in the gallery which is all the way at the top. Drinks & snacks are in the 1st floor so if you plan on taking elevator plan accordingly. It is best if you arrive early so you can get any memorabilia, food & drinks then head to seat because you will have to wait for elevator. You do not want to have to climb stairs it will tire you out lol

Large seating area with good acoustics and viewing from almost all sides. Because of the flight racking of the theater it is possible that a slightly taller person sitting in front of you will block your view. No way to definitely protect against that.

Very nice however required to take multiple stairs, in and out, to bathrooms , etc. Ran out of snack foods for sale sale during intermission. For pay Garage elevator broken also. Valet available...plan an extra 30 mins at least for arrival and departure. Great shows, narrow passage to seats and seats themselves.

Even though the Straz pulls in some amazing Broadway shows, as others have stated, the theater itself is outdated and extremely uncomfortable. The seating is very old and frankly painful to sit in for the lengthy duration of a show.

Outside of the overall age and seating issues the parking is great. There is a large garage with an attached walkway which will keep you dry in case there is rain. There are other outside lots with ample parking available.

Getting to the theater can be a challenge as well. If you are trying to get to a 6-7:30 PM show time you will likely have a lot of traffic to contend with. I left for a 7:30 performance at 6PM from the Palm Harbor area and we walked in the doors at 7:25 and had just enough time to make it to our seats.

Went to Chicago on 9/18. Cast was great (5 stars) but the sound was absolutely awful and not worthy of a professional production. I felt bad for the cast, as people couldn't hear any of the jokes (evidenced by the lack of reaction) and some patrons got up to leave early. Won't be back to Straz unless this problem is remediated... would rather drive to Dr. Phillips. Also would be disappointed if Straz didn't reach out to patrons, as many of them made it clear last night that the show was inaudible.

All major Broadway style shows are exhibited here, as well as a venue for music (Florida Orchestra), a good place, a good location for downtown Tampa. Very blessed to have a world-class venue for the performing arts.

They attract great shows and it is conveniently right off 275. It is a good venue, but could use some updating. Parking gets filled up pretty quickly, so get there early. They only take cash for parking.
