Straz Center for the Performing Arts Reviews

It's been over a decade since I saw a show here. Tonight's rendition of The Phantom of the Opera was amazing. I had goose bumps the entire time!

The Phantom of the Opera was awesome. This is a beautiful hall. The staff was very professional and helpful.

Such a good time seeing kinky boots. The frozen drink was so good, it was s hot day. The bartender was nice too. Didnt try any food, maybe next time.

My kids went for the very 1st time and loved ever second of the Winnie the Pooh show.

We arrived at 8:40pm. We already had tickets in hand. They didn't start letting people in until 9:15pm for a 9:30pm show. This theatre is unorganized. Security took forever. Once we got to the door, employees scrutinizing every ticket. By the time we found our seats, it was 9:45pm! Rows of seats very long with no aisles in the middle.

The place was so Beautiful,The water view the weather was amazing and my children showed me a great Mother's Day! All the events they had for us was great Thanks for an amazing time I wouldn't want to spend it anywhere else.....

Wow, that theatre was unbelievable, the personnel were very friendly, the color in the inside give you a good sensation, the red, the golden, etc, they have amazing shows, I saw phantom of the Opera, the set was very elaborated, they have a piano near the entrance with a live pianist, also a restaurant which I think is buffet, not sure, it was great.

Wonderful seating. Good entertainment. I have no complaints

Saw Junie B. Jones in the mid size theater. Ticket prices we perfect. The seats were comfortable, we sat in the lower level balcony in the center which gave us a perfect view. The sound was great. Would definitely go again.

Took my daughter here for her 7th birthday to see the little mermaid. She absolutely loved it and wants to go a bunch more. The only thing I didn't like was the seating is way to close together and the air conditioner wasn't working correctly but other than that it was great.

The Straz always has amazing shows and great National Tours of popular Broadway musicals.

Love going to Broadway plays here. The parking is really bad, but it's worth it. They bring in some really great productions.

We had a great time at Tap Dogs. Venue is beautiful and easy to navigate. Parking situation is much easier now that they are proactive about sending out emails with prepaid parking options. We were there for a matinee and it was easy in and out.

It's a good venue for the event I attended. However, parking was a nightmare even I had prepaid parking permit with me. It took over 20 minutes to get in the garage on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily we still made it on time to our show.

Saw phantom of the opera and i cried because it was so amazing!! Ive loved this since I was little and the experience was great!

The Straz is scenicly placed along the river. There is plenty of seating by the orchestra and the acoustics are good. Parking is nearby and convenient to use the walking bridge to and from. A nice place to spend the evening for dinner and a show.

Huge venue! Accessible parking, onsite outdoor restaurant with quality food choices.

Fabulous Venue , top notch theatre, Riverwalk is quite beautiful too !

We saw Diavolo and it was fantastic! The theater is very nice. The walk along the river was beautiful with the winter village.

Great show last night. Balcony was hot and the seats are extremely close together! Nice place overall.

Surprised my daughter for the Nutcracker play. A memorable experience!!

I have visited this venue to watch and be entertained by so many great shows, performers from The Nutcracker I've lost count how many years I've seen this wonderful performance, to every other Broadway show imaginable! Also offering some of the best musical programs for kids, teens , adults alike. This entity makes Tampa proud with the culture and entertainment it consistently brings to the area!

Great venue!!! I absolutely love the Straz Center! I have seen many performances here! The latest was Aladdin!!! It was amazing! So much fun and very entertaining!

Can't say enough. Great venue. Hope I can manage to score tickets to Hamilton when it shows here.

Fantastic place to see live shows. Always clean and the staff and volunteers are so friendly. We had season tickets and really enjoyed all the shows. A nice date night or family night.

Great place but could use some updating. They really need to redo the seating arrangement. It gets old having to stand up every time someone has to use the bathroom.

The Straz center is the perfect size for a stageplay. I've visited multiple times and never disappointed!

We enjoyed our visit, 25$ on campus parking worth it this day.

Seats are not roomy - prices are high - not any good places to eat around the straz

Great theater! I've seen a show in both the Jaeb theater and carol monsani hall and was very comfortable in both!

Attended the Orchestra s innovative evening and received way more than bargained for....
The orchestra was perfect. Piano no 3 ( Beethoven) lulled me to a wide awake state of appreciation for our great conductor and musicians...

The second half- Pulcinella took me quite by surprise and left me stripped of energy ....any type of energy.

Everything is great, loved it (except ONE thing)! My only gripe is the spacing in the rows... if you're seated and someone gets up to use the bathroom or if someone is coming in fashionably late, everyone has to get up to let them walk through.

We went for The Book of Mormon. That was something. Really enjoyed the theater. Good size, nice layout. Great view from anywhere in the house.

Cathedral of the preforming arts in Tampa. Superb venue.

I love the fine arts. The Straz gives a variety for all interest. The only problem is that the straz isn't handicap accessible

We saw Phantom of the Opera here. The seating was well placed, and the stage/performance was perfect.

I had such a great time here and I loved the show. Parking can be an issue since it is located downtown. Facility was clean and well staffed with friendly people. Drinks were a bit pricey but I expected that. VIP activities were well organized.

Saw The Tampa Bay Symphony there and had never been to The Straz before . Comprised of several different theatres in one main structure. Easy to get to with various parking lots in the area, situated on The Riverwalk.

Love the Straz!! The theatre is beautiful, right on the Tampa Riverwalk! And they have the best Broadway shows!!

Carol Morsani Hall is a lovely venue with good acustics.
Tyler Perry was amazing as Madea!
Love that there is waterfront dining outside.

Seen Motown Musical here August 13 2017. Great seats, loved the theater!

Nice facility. Many venues. Valet parking is super! It was easy to find off of 275, and easy access back on.
