Just rode the gondola down after hiking to the top. All good except I was disappointed that the gondola was going to be closed on the 4th of July so I couldn't go back to where I left off unless I walked back up

Tall enough for the east coast, conditions are as good as it gets and I've had excellent powder days here. Enough trail variety to keep it interesting, but double Black basically means moguls on a cliff face rather than challenging terrain. Town had some great shops and solid food.
The village around the base is great. The mountain itself was crowded. Lift lines were 30+ minute waits and there was very little snow coverage (super icy!). I get that they can't control nature but there should have been way more man made snow.
High end resort in southern VT. Full village at the base with plenty of food options & shopping. Less crowded mid week then their neighbors, Mt.Snow & they usually have better grooming. Gondola is always a nice touch but they will keep it closed during windy days for safety reasons. Lots of lodging & with the expensive ticket prices you are better of doing a ski & stay package. Terrain parks are good but let's face it, Mt.Snow-Carintha are the best in the neighborhood. You ride Stratton for its grooming & trees!
Went here during a snow and ski demo for the week and it was great. Conditions were fantastic and I bought the lift tickets at liftopia so they weren't too expensive. It's not the best mountain out there but it's good for a short trip
I come here a few times a year and it's always a great time. Well groomed mountain, friendly staff and good eating options in the village. Mid mountain lodge serves a delicious Bloody Mary. Resort prices are high at most bars/restaurants/shops (as expected), so if you stay a few days it pays to bring provisions from off site. In my opinion lodging at Long Trail is a safe bet with cozy studios and multi-room condos (all with fireplaces and kitchens) that give access to a quaint outdoor heated pool and hot tub as well as sauna.
One of my favorite ski resorts to visit with the family. Some challenging runs but not as much as others in the area but they do have a good mix of terrain. The food and bars in the main lodge is good. Food at sun bowl is ok, the bar in Sun bowl lodge is small but nice. The village is expensive but you can get very good food or equipment there. The resort does a lot for guests
Many runs, they are long, glades are great, many hills for beginner to expert skiers. Lines are short, and I would recommend the Sun Bowl Lodge as a starting point.
We hiked up the mountain along the gondola trail and then over to the fire tower. An amazing hike that offers a lot of challenges. We can't wait to do it again!
Stratton mountain is a great place for young couples, school ski groups and families. The mountain maintains great conditions when weather may not be ideal for skiing or snowboarding. Everyone is super friendly and beyond helpful. The mountain is not as big as Killington, however it is a very enjoyable skiing or snowboarding mountain experience.
Jake in the Burton Experience shop was awesome. So helpful and chill and quick to attend me out. Curtis, my snowboard instructor was excellent. He really helped me get the hang of snowboarding. Super patient and kind. I would request him personally for any further lesson. Genevieve in ticketing and customer service was TERRIBLE. She was unpatient, unclear and inconsiderate. I was very close to backing out of my lesson because of her tone.
The location/landscape is beautiful, and the selection of restaurants and shops was very good. Mulligan's in particular impressed with excellent burgers. Unfortunately, food and drinks were typically overpriced, and the lodge itself was easily double the price you'll pay at any normal location for the same or even better quality accommodations. That said, it was lovely being able to park once and spend the rest of the trip walking the two blocks to the main resort village and base lodge. We were there to run a race, so we didn't get to home or anything, but the trails were great exercise and led to some remarkable views of the countryside.
Very comfortable facilities. I went during the off season so things were on modified hours. It might be very crowded during peak hours though and parking might be an issue. Things were nice though. Weather up the mountain can be very different from the weather in town though so pack accordingly.
The only complaint I have is more of a general complaint for the sport of skiing in general; it is very expensive. A standard lift ticket for one day is $125 right now, and if you don't have equipment, rentals cost quite a bit as well. However if you can afford to go skiing and you live in lower New England, Stratton is one of the best mountains you can ski at. They have some of the best snow making and grooming capabilities, combined with a diverse selection of trails to choose from. The glades are some of the best out there. It's the one thing I prefer about skiing the east coast, as west coast forests are not nearly as dense as the east coast. If you are looking for a mountain that suits everyone's needs and ski levels, Stratton is a great choice.
Great place in general. Lots of excellent food and drink options in the lodge area. I was not here during the winter, but for a summer event. The ice cream shop is fantastic. The little coffee shop attached to the market is the best part. Coffee is amazing and the sandwiches are to die for. Both breakfast and lunch. I suggest the build your own breakfast sandwich on the Portuguese bread, with bacon and egg. For lunch, the Firebomb Cheesesteak is... The... Bomb. :D
Great family trip up the mountain on the Gondola in early October. Great foliage, vistas. Hiked from the lift at the the top to the fire tower, about a mile to and a mile from. We and three kids under 3 in back packs.
Mountain is pretty crowded in the village and the trails, lift lines we disorganized, and the food was expensive for the amount you get. Better mountains in the area.
Great skiing, reliable lifts, and helpful employees make Stratton one of my favorite ski destinations. Add in the Village experience, and Stratton provides an experience unlike any other on the East Coast.
