We had great snow conditions and the slopes were groomed well. Not very challenging slope options but long nice runs. Definitely longer runs than the broken up slopes at Killington. The fun park looked solid but we didn't go there. We're also lucky with almost no lift lines (although it was a Friday). For some reason they shut down the gondola during lunchtime citing high wind *cough*

These guys have raised the bar for a ski resort. Service was above expectations at every touch point, from equipment rentals, food, and othe amenities. They even had staff waiting for you outside the lodge to give you tissues at the end of the ski day. Spectacular!!

I love the dozens of long intermediate cruising trails and their many high speed lifts. The gondola is especially welcome on cold days or in precipitation and it is usually the fastest way to the top. On my most recent visit, it was running a bit slow whether because of occasional wind gusts or simply lack of guests and they felt it wasn't necessary to get as many people to the the top quickly. The other reason I deducted a star is that they've blasted and smoothed out some of their most challenging terrain and the whole mountain is a magic carpet ride (with some moguls).

Food is a bit expensive like every other ski resort, but it is good. Try to stick to the main lodge for the most options. You can stop at their lodge middway on mountain for food but they don't have many options. Go for the chili in a breadbowl, very filling and quality is good.

This most recent visit was just as amazing as the last! Dinner at Mulligan's was delicious as always. The village never disappoints and the free hot chocolate was delicious. Ski conditions were outstanding, another great trip. Thanks Stratton Staff!

One of the best spots in Vermont to see either fall colors or go skiing. We went to see fall colors and the gondola ride to the top is a must and the view is amazing. It gets really busy during the ski season so plan accordingly.

I love this mountain! The shops in the village are interesting and the restaurants too but as we are in condo during our visits, we go there very rarely because with the exchange rate ..... it's a bit expensive for Canadians.

Best ski resort this side of the country, firendly staff, great ski school. Multiple places to rent, plenty of lodging, working bus system, and a gondala for the main lift. This resort is well kept, the slopes are always well groomed, and there is a great amount of varied difficulty on the mountain. Five stars

The trails on the mountain were pretty icy and quite few were closed, parking was easy, staff was good. Waffles were horrible, half baked and too mushy don't get them. Prices pretty high compared to previous season.

I'm giving this 5 star review because Mt. Snow had a power outage and was not open so I had to ride Stratton. My experience with staff was equally as great as the 14 inches of powder that dropped. Ms. Flanagan at the ticket office was more than helpful and accommodating. Snow making and grooming did a fine job of leaving the fresh powder to build up and lifts got open for summit access at a reasonable time. Giovanna and Dawn at grizzly's helped the good times continue after the mountain closed. Stratton was perfect for the fresh November powder and there was not a single line to delay anyone that wanted to get back to the action which helps me rate this as a five star Tuesday. I have rode Stratton several times before but I think today it earned a 5 instead of a 4.

This is one of the next places in Vermont. A cool trip and a beautiful village. Stratton is having enough restaurants and cafe to fill your tummy and have even shops for good shopping. It has the gondola ride which was so amazing and with a good view. You can take the ride in all seasons. Enjoy yourself.

I skiied Stratton Mountain Thursday January 10th. Conditions were phenomenal and the gondola provided great protection from the elements. Ate at Grizzly's for lunch. Beer choices were outstanding and the food selection was good. The suggestion I have for this resort is to modernize the common areas. They are worn and dated. People want more than picnic tables and benches.

Horribly kept icy slopes. Bring your ice skates. I went to okemo the next day and no ice. Okemo knows how to make snow and maintain a mountain. Stratton has absolutely nothing around the mountain worth eating or hanging out, it's a dead zone. I will be staying by okemo next time or in Rutland.

Stratton is very lucky to have the staff they have. We skied this last Friday, 7 December and everyone we encountered was amazing. The ticket people, and the people working in the base lodge were amazing. To be honest we had a bad experience at Stratton last year, due to the conditions and lines, so we weren t keen to go back. However this last visit made Stratton our top the ski mountain in Vermont. A week after our visit, and My friends and I are still talking about our Magical day we had at Stratton. The conditions were amazing, very well groomed trails. Also the food in the base lodge was delicious, they have healthier options which are reasonably priced. They had a vast beer selection too. I am very much looking forward going back to Stratton soon! Ski the east

Always a great place for skiing, lots of terrain and more important, groomed terrain with plenty of tree runs to keep any level skiier occupied for days. Grab a waffle with chocolate after a long day out in the cold then go up to Grizzly's for a drink to cap off another great day at Stratton!

Didn't stay in the resort, but an Airbnb nearby. The mountain itself is amazing with a full range of different level trails. A lot of variety in the design of the trails! I highly recommend parking near Sunbowl rather than the main Lodge. Less crowds and great stuff on that side of the mountain. Food in the lodge is expensive but worth it for at least one day instead of bringing lunch everyday. Weekdays are prime. Lifts are almost always working. All in all my favorite. Mt Snow is nearby and isn't nearly as great

Skiing Stratton for years with my girls, my 40th anniversary on skis took a spill when someone took my skis while we at lunch. The staff at guest services was quite empathetic and shared that most times skis are rarely stolen just mistakenly grabbed. In addition they willingly provided skis to use and Uncle Wes at rentals further accommodated me the rest of the holiday vacation when my skis didn t appear.

Still looking for a pair of Blizzard Quattro 8.4s but will definitely return to Stratton!

Known for their incredible snow making and grooming. Great steeps and beginner trails alike. Well maintained, a little expensive but the staff and apres etc all make up for it. This had always been my home mountain.

Stratton mountain has lost its way and is now a snobbish mountain that I no longer enjoy going to. I spend my money at Okemo or just stay closer to home with Jiminy Peak or hunter. On the plus side Stratton does give a good discount to veterans.

We've stayed at Stratton four or five times over the past few years (once in the summer, for a mountain top wedding, the rest in winter). This is a fantastic place, great for all levels of skiers, and also for non-skiers. We started going here because my wife doesn't ski, and this is the only place in southern Vermont with lodging and a village at the base lodge. So I can get up, go ski for as long as I like, and my wife can relax, walk the village or go for a drive and sightsee in the local area.

As for the skiing, you can't beat it. There are trails for all level of skiers, from beginner to expert, and these folks REALLY know how to take care of those trails. The grooming is fantastic and the runs are excellent. My daughter, a cautious intermediate level skier, enjoys the "greens" from the mountain summit, and I love the blacks and double blacks. No matter what level skier you are, you will find runs that please you, and they will be in perfect condition.

I have to add this - the resort staff are fanatical in their dedication to customer service. The Welcome Center folks are fantastic and will do whatever it takes to make sure you enjoy your stay.

I give Stratton the highest rating. Go there! You won't be sorry!
