I went hoping to get in on a poker tournament that I had looked up online. However when we got there found out it was cancelled. We had a fun time out in the country and breathing the fresh country air out among the mountains. The setting is picturesque and a friendly, place to relax.

What a wonderful place, everything you want and need in one beautiful location!! The staff are the best, even when they have to keep us in line for our bad decision on parking, they did it with so much grace and laughter!!! The food, delic, the staff, fantabulous

The hotel rooms smelled musty. Was not a bad place, but not one I would stay in again.

We were celebrating my Mom and Dad s 50th wedding Anniversary here! There were 67 of us in total with over half of us staying the night. If you are looking for a great venue to celebrate anything this hotel is the place!!! Kelen made sure the room had everything we needed and it looked amazing! She was so easy to deal with and made sure my event was gorgeous! Then there was Vicki who was so accommodating and made sure the event wasn t missing one thing. Lino answered all of our questions and made sure I could go to him with anything. Fletcher in the restaurant took such good care of all of our guests when it came time to have the delicious buffet dinner. Over all I don t think any other place could have provided great service and fun like this hotel did! Thanks again everyone for great customer service. We will be back!

Had a good night. The above was great at the restaurant and the food was good. The room was clean and comfortable.

It's a casino and a hotel with nothing else around for miles. If you like smoking this is your place as you can smoke in it. Casino is ok with mostly older machines. Never started in the hotel but I've heard mixed things. Never are there either. Good pit stop to get your gambling fix. They're building a fuel station right now but given the distance to Canmore or Calgary not sure it will be used much.

Nice place to stay overnight. Free Morning buffet breakfast. Clean. Close to the highway 1.

Great rates and love the restaurant. Have great deals for buffet. Rooms are clean and the hotel is close to Nakiska Ski Resort.

Really great sized rooms. I came here for my birthday and the staff where awesome! I had the bartender gave my friends and I drinks and shots. The energy of the place was great too! We made lots of frends there and the bar was awesome!
The one thing I disliked was the bar was opening smoking.

Great prices and great mwnu selection. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good to very good.

Restaurant food is good but could be better. The lobster tails are amazing. The server is very friendly and efficient.

Great resort close to the mountains. It's one of the few places to stay within kananaskis.

Great value. The breakfast was great, hot tub and slide were awesome. Did however seem light on staff particularly over the long weekend

For what we paid it was worth the 5 stars in my opinion.

We were looking for a cheap but decent hotel in Canmore or Banff on the day of using 3rd party booking sites. There was nothing available under $280 and we were just passing through on a roadtrip. In a panic we start calling around and we found this one just outside of town. We we're planning to arrive later in the evening/after dark so had no evening plans and needed to eat! We figured it would be perfect. We were quoted $179 for a king room with breakfast included. After we arrived they immediately processed payment and it totaled $207 after fees and taxes. Even though I don't like when I ask how much the room is they omit fees (I think they should say you hotel is _____ and after taxes: _____) which is why I'd rather use 3rd party booking sites it was much cheaper then we would of been paying in Canmore or Banff!! We had the option of a smoking or non smoking room. We opted for nonsmoking, we noticed on our floor the entire floor was smoke free. For the most part we could not smell smoke bu if you went into the casino BEWARE of the indoor smoking. Only downfall is, the bar that is open late is INSIDE the casino, not thinking we decided to go for a drink and half way through the drink I was ready to go. I looked for a seat where we wouldn't be surrounded by smoke and there was none. We paid our bill and went back to our room where we could breathe.

Our beds were clean and so comfortable, he bedding was so soft and the comforter was not too heavy (unlike the hotel we stayed in the night before)!

Breakfast was included - and I was extremely impressed! We went on a 5-day road trip and it was by far the best breakfast that was included. They have a lovely buffet kitchen where you can see the cook cooking the food and you can grab and select you options. It would be nice if we could of ordered our eggs as we wished (I'm not a huge fan of simple large mass scramble eggs).
However, we had many hot options ready to grab:
- Eggs, sausage, pancakes, hot cinnamon rolls - so good!
- Dress your pancakes with strawberry sauce, chocolate syrup and other stuff.
- You can toast your own breads: sliced bread, bagels and english muffins.
- Yogurt, apples, bananas and oranges. Cereals if you like.
- Make your own teas, coffees. OJ, Apple juice and water.
- Plenty to start your day!!

The casino was clean a s the staff were amazing. The restaurant was the same. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. Great people, clean, and amazing service. Can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I loved it here. Nice, big, clean room! Staff was super friendly. Casino on site was lots of fun! Free hot buffett breakfast! Pool with a waterslide. It's in a remote location but we knew that and were totally fine with that. We drove where and when we needed to. Free parking there as well. Cool place. We think any bad reviews are just from super picky people lol. But hey, to each their own! We'd go back for sure :)

No weekend lunch buffet. Only dinner. Simple family restaurant at the right from the lobby. Won't be driving out for food from Calgary again but if I was hungry and it was on the way, I'd stop... Maybe.

Enjoyed our 3 days very much. We found it very easy to do our day trips around the Rockies from here. On my next trip west will not hesitate to stay here again.

Great place. Good food. Really busy. Took us two tries to get in.

We had originally booked multiple nights at this hotel, I usually try to give balanced reviews but this place was terrible. The room was dirty, beat up furniture, stains all over the floor. I took pictures and went down to the desk for a new room, the person behind the desk did not even look at them, just said that all rooms were the same, and that no other one was better, no service recovery, no I'm sorry you find the rooms not what you expected, nothing but a stare. We immediately cancelled our remaining nights, it was late so we stayed one, food in the morning was cold as well. Someone should really train the staff and put some money into renovation.

The fourth floor rooms are in rough shape but I think they were getting ready to reno this floor the last time we were there. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Food is decent.

Food pretty good but pretty pricey. It is all you can eat and there are lobsters which is pretty good.

The inside of the hotel room was a clean and comfortable sleeping environment. Do not expect to have a taste for the buffet. It may be similar to the food you usually eat and may be below. A grandmother could not get a computer key, so I went to the information desk and asked her, but she ignored it. So my grandmother could not use pc. I feel sick.

It's awesome and it's a good place to enjoy the good view of the mountain

We stayed here after a long day of snowboarding. So glad we did instead of driving back to Calgary. The front desk was super friendly, wish I could remember her name, think it started with a K. The room itself was nice and comfortable. Bathroom had a tub and shower, tub was needed for my sore muscles. We stayed in one of the mountain view rooms. Dinner was great, took a little while for the 2 of us to be acknowledged. We each had steak, cook on each was spot on. We gambled a little as well. Casino was not huge bit decent size. Smoking section is near the back and is NOT walled off from non smoking. Breakfast buffet was on the small side: cereal, pancakes, toast, english muffin, yogurt, fruit, pastries, eggs, sausage and hash browns. We also noticed there was a video game room, Xbox, PS4, we didn't use it but I wanted to note that it's an hourly rental and games are provided, not sure if you can use your own games. We stayed here on Tuesday so it was pretty quiet. Overall, for the price paid, we had a great experience and will definitely stay here again. A big thank you to the friendly staff for making our stay a great one!

Weird carpet stains and rolls in my room, some weird box hanging off the outlet behind the door, hotel staff unsure what it is.

This was an okay casino, very few people in here. We went around 4pm, and the restaurant was already closed. The workers were friendly though.

Had a great time servers were great and had lots of fun at the tables.

the worst. We booked and were charged for a superior room but were put in a lower end room without explanation. When we realized what had been done I went to the desk and they said they were full and that both rooms cost the same so they put us in the available one. Finally after complaining they moved us to the correct room. Then came night time. We had no blanket or pillow for the pull-out bed. When we requested them we were told that they were full and that they had no more blankets. After quite a fuss they finally arrived with a second SHEET. Not a blanket. When I went to the front desk and complained the man suggested that I would be asked to leave if I kept complaining. I said that I didn't even think it legal to rent a hotel room without a blanket or pillow and perhaps I should call the police. Finally a woman came out of the back and said that someone would be up with a duvet. About 15 minutes later we received the duvet with the comment "here's your duvet". She was angry and it was very apparent that she was annoyed. Not one person said that they were sorry. And we were charged extra for the pull-out couch. What a nightmare!

Bison burger is excellent, the people are very helpful and friendly.

Rest rooms were clean. I only stopped in to use them however walked through the casino and it was clean as well. Didn't smell like cigarettes, was early in the afternoon.

Great buffet. Allowed to smoke in lounge area. New The Simpsons gambling machine is quite fun.

I had the fish tacos at the lounge. They were awesome.

This is decent Hotel, however they should make more of an effort to keep the floors clean, the cleaning of the rooms was okay, however there is room for improvement there also. The food is good in the restaurant and the service and food in the conference room we had for the two days was good. Bearspaw Service centre next door was awesome. Otherwise, it was a decent place to stay. I would say that this is definitely a 3 star resort.

Went to the restaurant after a hike with some friends, there were 2 servers on, the restaurant was not busy yet we weren't greeted or provided menus. After 15 minutes we got up and left.

I've been to the prime rib and seafood buffet a number of times now. The layers was very good. Prime rib was great, lobster tails were moist and dessert was on point. The last couple times everything was a bit dry but greatly improved!

We only had a short stay at the casino here and it was very nice and very clean. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and the choice of slot machines were varied for different price ranges. We did not stay at the hotel but it looks very nice and clean in the lobby.

We stayed at Stonery Nakoda Resort and Casino at Kananaskis last summer. It was a last minute decision to visit the Canadian Rockies and most decent hotels were fully booked on our day of arrival. We used this hotel as a stop gap before driving into Banff. Its location makes it a good overflow option during busy months. The hotel room was clean and of good size. It offers most amenities typical to any tourist class hotel. The pool area does in need of some updates. Their weekend buffet does offer great value.

Food was average. Service was awful. Had to ask for a fork for my sallid. Then when she brought our prime rib there was no utensils and the waitress disappeared so we had to go to the bar to get knives and forks. The waitress seamed not to care about anything and laughed when we commented on the meal. No gravey with Prime Rib? The cut was thinner than a stake sandwich and was presented like a steak sandwich on toast and covered in processed cheese. This was supposed to be the chef's special dish. Well it was special. My wife wanted to try the cheesecake and we told the waitress that she wanted a piece to go. The waitress brought our bill and forgot the cheesecake. Then when reminded, she went back to the bar and recalculated the bill. She then brought back the bill and told us to have a nice night. We told her we would, when she brought our cheesecake. My this was poor.

Very disappointed in this place...no promotion for new customers..no drink station except coffee..and the place is smokey!..it should be smoke free...little payouts...will never return

I don't gamble but it looks nice place to do so. I like this place for lunch when in the area. Great menu, insanely huge selection at a great price! Accessible from the highway 1 or from k country. Love it!

Generally typical casino with standard meeting rooms and facilities. We did not enter the casino proper but assume it is standard slot machines, keeno, etc. Nice restrooms but coffee, tea and snacks were unimpressive.

Haven't been in awhile still a great place to stop and visit

Food good and prices (especially Sunday afternoon/evening) very reasonable. Has taken a while for food to arrive, but we weren't in a hurry.

Had issues with my booking which I had done over a year ago. Pricing for the style of rooms was quite high and did not get the room I originally booked .

Slow wifi, dirty bed linens (suspicious stains and hair everywhere) and noisy air conditioner .... at breakfast none of the dishes were clean and had to wipe out grease and stains on my own with a napkin .... and hot foods were not provided on time and had almost nothing to eat. not recommended. Wi-Fi is not good and there are not many kinds of breakfast food and the bowl is full of steam and oily and dirty .... the air-conditioning sound is too loud too.
