Smoking is allowed but it's not an overpowering smell. Nice look with a decent sized casino.

We love the buffet, lots of tasty choices of hot food and dessert, salads not so many choices.

Didn't go into casino.. just the theatre for lunch at Gran fondo. Food wasn't bad

Service in restaurant was very allow even though it want busy. Good was great when we finally got it.

Left for a vacay to banff from another Albertan city. Had a great time at this place even though I lost 40 dollars. Smoking is aloud in the casino which was very relaxing and homey feeling though i recommend not smoking next to people while they are eating Nakodas great selection of food. Everyone including the staff was very respectful and the food tasted great. (steak sandwich with fries with awesome gravy) Havent played with the dealers yet though.

This is a mixed bag here at the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino. This place has been open for a while now but still feels like it is a work in the early stages of development.

The lobby and hotel are well decorated and very clean. The washrooms are spotless too which is usually a good sign of attention to detail. That being said, it is NOT on the same level as the Grey Eagle Casino and Hotel, which would be a direct comparable.

The Casino is pretty much only V.L.T.s as there is very little in the way of table games. In the day there are NO manned table games. There is an area with a sign saying POKER ROOM, but it has no poker tables at all. I asked the staff if I had mistaken the location of the room and she indicated that they only have polar tables if they are running a weekend tournament. Disappointing.

Their restaurant is spacious and well fixtured. The staff there is friendly too. I checked out the menu hoping for some Native food options as this IS a Reservation Casino afterall. There really isn't any Native options. I asked the waitress about that and she said that they used to have those options but the current chef eliminated all of those items. I figure that at least the pizza bread options could be on Bannock I stead of normal bread no???

I ate Elk Meatballs which was all I could find for Native food and also Greek Parmesan Chicken Wings. Both were excellent and perfectly cooked. The wings were succulent and came right off the bone! A small suggestion would be to have two baskets delivered with the wings so that the bones could be discarded in the other basket. It is nice that dipping dressing automatically comes with the wings too. Perhaps a hand wash bowl or wet naps would be good to clean your hands at the end because you will be eating all of the wings!

The prices were good and there are daily deals on liquor and food. Apparently the Friday/Saturday Lobster Tail and Prime Rib buffet is to die for so a return at that time may be necessary. For now it is ok.

More entertainment would be good.

After a long day of hiking we stopped by for the buffet. We enjoyed the selection of food and friendly service. Value for money was also pretty good. Nice resort and relaxing experience after a busy day in the mountains! We will return again hopefully some time soon.

I needed to use a washroom and they were open. 10/10 would go there again for this reason

The breakfast buffet was reasonable & the cook went out of his way to prepare eggs especially for me-I have dietary restrictions. Overall, I'm sure it's an OK place to stay-I would try it sometime. I only dropped in to the restaurant for breakfast.

I actually only stopped to use the parking lot. There was something rattling around in my vehicle while I drove home from Canmore. Sorry.

Everyone that worked there had a smile on their face and were very friendly. Pet friendly, lots of things to do. Room was beautiful, great hotel / casino

Great little casino and bar, everyone was really friendly and to top it off we started by winning money.

Friendly staff, great food, very clean hotel. Great place for one of a kind, private events, in the hotel's big party room: e.g. annual cigar smoking event.

Good alternative to booking in Canmore. Good front desk service, clean and priced properly. We had a small discrepancy in billing. But it was our fault. They corrected the error and are refunding the small difference. Great family hotel and dog friendly. We will stay here again and highly recommend it to our friends

Blood Stains and hair on the sheets ruins everything.

Room was subpar. Pretty much equivalent to a Motel 8. The sheets were stained and the floor was sticky. They offer a complementary breakfast buffet which had the basics - it was just okay, nothing exciting. The lady who checked us in didn't seem to want to be there. There isn't much to do around the area, though Canmore is about a 20 min drive away.

Only went to the casino, security at the front was friendly, table dealers were not. Parking was whack, nearly everyone was double parked. Didn't eat at the buffet but sounded great for its price

Good service, decent breakfast, also a decent bagged lunch provided by them. Rooms are clean and we'll maintained.

The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, the family resturant was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again!

Great service. The steak special was better than the same cut of steak I paid almost twice as much for at a high end Calgary restaurant earlier in the week

Server was unprofessional.He joked about charging us double for drink refills multiple times, jokingly discouraged using coupons because they "weren't worth it", and at one point refused to take my dirty dishes and told me to use it again for a second round of buffet. Above that, at the end he split up the bill incorrectly for our party and had us waiting for 15 minute while he called his manager to fix it. I wouldn't have tipped at all if gratuity wasn't factored in. Aside from the service the food was mediocre. I wouldn't go back.

The casino bar was great. Good food. Reasonable price for beers. There is smoking in the casino which adds to the character.

We really enjoyed our stay, everyone was pleasant and friendly, bathroom
showers are showing there age a little better scrubbing to get the mold and mildew out and the dark shower floor, but the rest of the room was perfect and it was a pet friendly room aswell. The breakfast buffet on the other hand was not great it was cold and not tasty at all, but it filled the gap till we could find some breakfast some where else.

Good place to stay and gamble you can smoke inside. Werry clean place

Decent place, gorgeous views, nice rooms, clean, friendly staff. Great little get away fairly close to home but far enough out that you feel like you are "away."

The buffet was pretty bad. Prime rib was tough and the lobster tail was overcooked. Staff was great. Very friendly and responsive

Smaller casino lacking on certain games. No video roulette and limited operation of standard roulette table.

Well-appointed casino also very close to Esso cardlock lots of parking for RVs and tractor trailers also close to Esso gas station and cardlock excellent Highway access both west or east

Nice place. Poker tournaments on Saturday's. Calamari was awesome.

The self-service lobster tail is delicious every Friday and Saturday. Sometimes there are more people, and it takes a long time to wait in line.

Decent casino. Good blackjack game. Good slot floor. Most personable pit boss I've ever come across. They allow smoking here, so if that's your thing this is your place.

Only open until midnight? Fine. Doesn't open until 10am? I can work with that. I'll get breakfast first. But I get there at noon and you still don't have any table games digital or otherwise open, that's a problem. I'm not a local, I didn't know. I came to spend some money. Instead, I just left. I guess technically I did gamble and win. You lose 100% of the bets you don't allow me to make...

Cool place, too bad more business's are not around to attract more traffic, beautiful views.

At the buffet: Prime rib was served cold regardless of heat lamp; mixed vegetables - over seasoned & salty; limited selection of dishes to choose from; great service though.

My husband and I spent our 1 year anniversary here last weekend! We were greeted at the front desk by the most fabulous Lino. He was welcoming, informative and very helpful with our bikes for the expected storm.
We enjoyed our King size room with Champagne and strawberries complimentary of our Romance package. The room was clean, cool and had amazing views of Yamnuska and a number of other great mountain views.
We enjoyed dinner at the pub where Laura took kindly to meeting our needs, both gluten free and vegetarian as well as carnivorous activity. She was on point with service, recommendations and overall hospitality.
We truly enjoyed our time here, all staff were very friendly and respectful.
The gift shop has some great treasures to buy which we will always carry in our vests while riding. Some great local artistry covers the walls and is sold here.
Breakfast, both the buffet and menu were delicious!!
We plan to make this a yearly tradition if not visit more often, such a great getaway and close to Calgary.
Thank you to all the staff at Stoney Nakoda for making our weekend unforgettable.
